Beckside Fisheries in Bradford

I travel past 5 other F&C shops to use this one. Freshly cooked, good portions, sensible prices and cheery service. What else is there to say.

Amazing value for money. Really tasty fish and chips and he always has a smile as soon as you walk through the door. I always come to this fish and chips shop now.

Had fish and chips from here today. The best fish and chips I've had for years. The fish was beautiful, and the chips were golden brown. Absolutely stuffed now though 😄

If you want decent, traditional fish and chips; Made from top quality ingredients. This is the place to go. Regardless of the time of day the food is always piping hot and tastes fresh. It has a great family run atmosphere that will make anyone feel welcome. I visit this Beckside Fisheries at least a couple of times a month and it has never disappointed myself or my girls. Highly Recommended.

First class in every respect. One of the very best and at a keen price. The fish cakes are superb. I have been a customer for years and the quality is persistently of the very highest order. Make a detour to visit this gem.

Fish here is the best in the area. We get food here regularly and think the fish is of really good quality. The menu offers a wide variety of fish shop foods.

Have been a customer here for 10 years, its the best fish and chips you can get in the Bradford area. Cooked by a lifetime professional, this family run restaurant offers all the standard fayre cooked exactly how it should be. They now accept cards, and have managed to keep their prices reasonable. In a city where decent fish is hard to find, Beckside fisheries is a guaranteed must for anyone who really knows gow fish should be. Great batter, really good chips in a decent sized portion... buy with confidence.

I was visiting a friend and called in for fish and chips and took them to her house just around the corner. Never been here before. Nice friendly bloke served us. Lovely fish and chips but next time I will ask for a small portion of chips as massive.

Yep - ok, I could eat fish and chips almost every day, and when I'm in Yorkshire I find them hard to resist. So the fact that I've eaten fish and chips from LOADS of different places means that I'm well qualified to know a little gem when I find one, and this one is RIGHT on my doorstep. Its in Cottingley (just outside of Bingley) and RIGHT beside a stream (hence the name - Beckside!). Don't be put off by the "shed at the bottom of your garden" look from the outside, but instead be impressed by the queue out side the front door - for good reason. GORGEOUS fish and chips, usually fried to order (so they're fresh!) and friendly service. But he shuts not much after 8pm. So if you want to get ya tea from them - go at tea time, otherwise you WILL be disappointed. I wouldn't have written such a long revue if the fish and chips didn't deserve it. But judge for yourself (not all at once cos the queue will get even longer than it usually is and he'll shut before I get mine!!!). Enjoy!!
