Beaufort Dining Room in Tewkesbury

Excellent food served by the nicest friendliest staff. I would highly recommend this restaurant for a special night out or celebration .

This was a special occasion for us and we were treated very well by the staff. The restaurant can be quite casual but the table was laid with lovely linen for us.

We stayed at the hotel for 2 nights. We hoped the menu would be different in the 2 restaurants, but sadly they weren't. Not enough choice. We had lunch at The Horsebox Brasserie but the menu was the same as dinner at The Restaurant, as was the Soa menu. Would have liked to have more choice. The food was very nice.

Myself and my daughter visited whilst on a spa day with which the lunch was included. We were advised that lunch was in The Horsebox so we headed there to be ignored by 2 members of staff. Someone else came along and we were directed to the restaurant. The waiter was quite 'off' throughout the meal and the wait was ridiculous considering we only had sandwiches. I had ordered a salad but a ciabatta was bought out but i wasnt prepared to wait any longer. It would have been understandable if they were busy but we were one of 4 tables and there was no wedding on. We were there nearly 2 hours which was time wasted from our Spa day. Would think twice before returning!

Restaurant is set in the charming room in the old listed manor at the hotel, an atmospheric room with wood panelling and lovely feature fire place. Menu had limited choice of dishes, the food was tasty, well presented and reasonable quality, however main event portion sizes quite small, compared with other similar dining establishments we eat at. There is a reasonable selection of wines by the glass and by the bottle. In comparison with other similar restaurants we felt dinner was expensive. As we were staying, we also ate breakfast here, the Cotswold full English was tasty, freshly cooked and served to table, there was a good selection of cereals, yogurt, pasties, breads, juices etc, better selection fresh fruit is needed though, this buffet served in a small adjoining Library room. Staff were polite and efficient. Please could you put 'linen napkins' out at breakfast.

I came to dine with my sister and Mom for thier birthday celebrations. Got lovely complimentry birthday chocolates. The starter, and Vegan main meal was delicious and very much enjoyed the desert. Happy with the whole luxury restaurant experience, staff were friendly and catered for our needs. We were made welcome and we felt respected. Highly recommend the dining experience at the restaurant at Ellenborough Park Hotel. This was our first experience and will not be the last! Loved it!!

We had a lovely dinner service made even more special by the wonderful staff. We had a 3 course meal, all of which tasted incredible. Special mention to Emily for the fantastic welcome and information about the hotel, we really enjoyed our chat during and after our meal and Emily gave us all the time and nothing was too much to ask for.

Ellenborough Park is such a lovely and grand venue. The restaurant is really nice and the food was high quality. Would recommend; waitressing and staff were all very friendly too!!

Really good waiters but soul was advertised as sharing whole fish, but came in two small fillets on seperate plates. It was also v salty. Not bad, but not worth £90.

The service was slow and the roast albeit very tasty , when it finally arrived was verging on cold . The icecream was bland .

A very friendly place that makes you feel really looked after. Wide ranging menu with the food beautifully presented and a good selection of wines by the glass as well as by the bottle. Great place for a celebration. look out for the carved mantelpiece.

Starters lovely but mains disappointing. Batter on fish undercooked . Greek salad not the best I have had. Restaurant had run out of Pinot Grigio and not once did the waiters come round to top up the wine. I would expect this as the norm in a five star restaurant. Just to say thigh breakfast was top notch , staff and service for breakfast excellent!

We had to queue to get in for 10 minutes. Breakfast took 45 minutes to arrive and when it did it was cold and you would get better quality food at Joe’s cafe under the arches!

A good looking selection but not as good as we anticipated .I asked for Stilton on the cheese board and the server said the blue cheese was as good ,no comparison very unprofessional.All other parts of the hotel we could not fault great staff

My colleague and I stay at the hotel twice a year and we always dine at the restaurant. The food was better this year than last year. Very good food that arrived promptly. The French(?) lady (petite, black hair) served us very efficiently and with good humour. She is an asset to the restaurant.

The food was good but for the price was nothing exceptional. Service was a bit disorganised and slow. The atmosphere is very cosy, though each night we dined there we left with our clothes smelling of smoke due to a fireplace in the next room which did not seem very well looked after.

Dinner on the Friday night - the plates were not hot and as a result, in the cold dining room, the food went cold quite quickly. The side orders (tenderstem broccoli) did not arrive in time and were therefore taken off the bill Otherwise everything was great

Service was poor. We asked for toast several times and received 2 slices of bread. We asked for brown sauce which didn’t arrive until our breakfast was over. We asked for coffee and the milk jug was almost empty and no teaspoons We also had dinner, after receiving our starter, we were asked if we would like anything and my husband said a slice of bread to go with his terrine, we didn’t expect to be charged £6!

Service and food were of a very high standard. Had the chateaubriand, which was beautiful. No complaints.

We had such a special evening at Ellenborough Park and highly recommend the restaurant. We are over from Australia to visit our son and we took him here for dinner to celebrate his 21st Birthday. The food was absolutely delicious (the squid and duck were incredible.) We were also blown away by the service, we were given a complimentary glass of bubbles and a tray of chocolates as it was his birthday. A wonderful evening and memories to take back to Australia with us, thanks to the staff at the restaurant at Ellenborough Park.

Great 1st time experience for my partner birthday and myself. We have visited this place last weekend stayed over the night so dinner and breakfast was included. Really good bead. All run smoothly, good customer service, good communication along with other other hotel facilities-outstanding. We have had lady called Klaudia who was very helpful, and meet out needs exceptionally! Room was so nice, clean and that outstanding view was just a cherry on the cake ;) What’s more, food was great, breakfast has plenty to pick from. Definitely a great place to visit again! P.s and that’s lovely SPA- really nice retreat, however pls check for booking in advance as at this time of the year was but busy.

Was to be an Anniversary dinner and My wife’s Birthday celebration combined, what a huge disappointment, Our main course was barely warm and had taken ages to arrive in a half filled dining room, we were offered fresh food but after such a long wait we were past waiting and so downhearted that what was to be a special occasion was not . So So disappointed.

Second time here as we were given a voucher to use at this hotel. Wonderful hotel but unfortunately the bar and dining service is poor. Waiting time for drinks were very slow and food not hot. Unfortunately I would not recommend for food. Much better service and food else where in the locality.

The booking was to celebrate our 46th Wedding Anniversary. It did not disappoint. The setting (outside under the pergola) was an excellent choice mainly due to the warm evening. The service and attention from the waiting staff was first class, as was the choice from the menu. I will certainly recommend the venue to friends and will consider returning either for Sunday Lunch or to celebrate another special occasion.

The location was beautiful and the staff warm and efficient. The menu is the same in both restaurants for lunch and dinner which was disappointing and repetitive.
