This place is how every tea rooms should be. Friendly staff, service with a smile, nothing too much trouble and loved the toasties and cake we had. I cannot praise Beatons and the staff enough, for them it is all about customer satisfaction. We visited twice whilst on holiday in the Cotswolds, highly recommended

We visited this week and were delighted with the warm welcome and excellent service. We ordered drinks from a vast selection of teas and coffees. I tried the white peony tea which was so refreshing. My son chose a soda drink called Alex as that is his name and it was really enjoyable. My young granddaughter had a Babycino which was served at the perfect temperature for a young child. (The gentleman who delivered it told us the temperature)! We all ordered scones which were so light and delicious. The room has interesting decor and it’s spotlessly clean and spacious. We were only in this area on holiday but were pleased to have chosen such a lovely cafe.

We loved this charming little eatery so much, we had breakfast here (and a couple of High Teas) everyday of our trip! Delicious food, beautifully presented. Good coffee and extensive tea selection served with an egg timer to brew the perfect cup! Fantastic service - nothing was too much trouble - even when we ordered items off the lunch menu at breakfast time! (including the tastiest Croque and Madame Monsieurs!) Really friendly staff and the owner was not only an oracle of information of things to do in the local area but was also incredibly generous; giving our children extra milkshakes and smoothies and providing doggy-bags of scones to take home with us! Cannot recommend highly enough!

We stopped in here with our 2 young children after a mammouth 4 hour drive on the way home from holiday. The people working here could not have been more welcoming. They brought out drinks for our kids without us even asking and we’re very accommodating with my son who has allergies. Then they brought out a little toy dog for the kids to play with while we waited for our food which took no time at all to arrive and was delicious. I honestly could not recommend this place enough.

Mum had the spicy tuna melt. The coffee afterwards was lovely. I was impressed with the selection of teas, drinks and food on offer. It also has a selection of fiction and non fiction books for sale.

I went for afternoon tea with my mum and hands down the best afternoon tea we've had. We got delicious range of sandwiches, savouries, scones and cake. You got so much for your money and they were happy to box it all up for us to take home. The staff were all polite and friendly and went out of the way to make it special. Would recommend it to everyone.

We had an excellent afternoon tea. I had the chocolate cake and the Beatons tea which was excellent. My partner had the cream tea - the scones were nice and light and was complimented by English Breakfast Tea. The crockery was lovely - Villeroy and Bosch Ambience was lovely as were the staff. Highly recommended.

We stopped by here because it looked inviting. There were tables outside that were nicely placed to watch the world go by. We ordered carrot cake and Earl Grey tea. It was all amazing. The carrot cake was so moist and full of nuts and fruit and the tea was so flavoursome as it was made with the leaves and not a small bag that holds only a minuscule amount that hardly flavours the water. We even got a timer to make sure that it was brewed for the correct time. Can’t praise this place enough, we even went back on the next day and repeated the whole process.

Chose a table on the pavement because we had our dog with us. It was Tuesday and the market was on and the town was very busy. A great place to people watch as the pensioners coach trips were dropping off outside the tea rooms and we had some pleasant short conversations with those we caught eye contact with. Staff were friendly and our brunch of bacon egg and toast washed down with a pot of tea was delicious.

The cafe is very basic which is fine, however, the prices are too high. Two coffees over nine pounds. We did have oat milk instead of cows and one was decaf but even so that’s the most we have been charged for two medium sized coffees anywhere in the UK. There was even a 10% service charge added to the bill which again was a first for us in a cafe. Staff were very nice but we won’t return. There is a limit to how much we want to pay for coffee. It’s not £9+.
