Had a great Sunday dinner with our family. The waiter was amazing and was able to suggest food for our daughter who has coeliac and also suggested coloring activities for the little one. The food and the service was great. Our family had a good time. Thank you

Even though this pub is fine and staff are good it really lacks character and what makes many pubs in Bath attractive.

Came with my friends for some drinks. Ended up ordering food as well. The service here is second to none! The staff friendly, accommodating, knowledgeable... Best place in Bath for drinks and food. Didn't stay in the hotel but if the service is this good in the pub, I'd assume the hotel service and standards is fantastic!

I recently stayed at the Bear Inn for two nights and it was the perfect stay! The room was lovely, clean and spacious with a sofa area and a massive bathroom. The staff were friendly and it was a quick walk in the main city centre. Would definitely recommend to stay here if visiting Bath!

We have just come back from a weekend in Bath and stayed at The Bear Inn for two nights. We had a pleasant stay and Claire was so welcoming! She made sure our stay was perfect - which it was! All the staff were great and the breakfast was AMAZING! Thank you! Would highly recommend. Thank you again!!

Went for lunch here today as we were working round the corner, despite my colleague still wearing his builders trousers we were given a warm welcome Absolutely delicious lunch. Best steak sandwich I've ever eaten. My friends chicken club was apparently also extremely good. Lady with Glasses and brown hair is so lovely and attentive. Young guy is also very friendly. 5 out of 5

The Bear offers a great atmosphere for couples, families and friends. The staff are friendly and helpful and the food is excellent, especially the Sunday roast (vegan option is one of the best I’ve had in Bath). It shows loads of different sport, without the vibe of some other sporting pubs, and Ali is always happy to switch the TV to the rugby (even if it is to watch Bristol Bears!). We moved locally in the spring and this is a great local pub!

Stayed for 2 nights in August, room was clean, well presented and comfortable. Staff very welcoming and friendly. We didn’t eat at The Bear Inn as we were visiting family in Bath, but we did have a few drinks in the bar which we enjoyed and were reasonably priced. Great location for a short 10-15 stroll into Bath.

The Bear Inn is just minutes walk from the City of Bath. It's a beautiful place to meet up or enjoy a drink or two. Staff are friendly and helpful. We stayed there for couple of nights and were looked after. Rooms are amazing. Nice and clean with all extra supplies like water, (still & sparkling) body lotion, tea and coffee. The lovely lady at reception was great. Excellent customer service.

I was staying nearby for the night and needed somewhere for a meal and a drink. The menu was a bit unusual, and I had the Korean mushrooms, followed by the sea bass. Both dishes were very well cooked, and beautifully presented, beer choice was good for craft beers, although a bit limited for cask (well, it was a Tuesday evening so can forgive them). Staff very helpful and friendly, and very polite when dealing with a difficult customer (not me!).

This is a lovely place. Gorgeous inside and out. And spotless! We waited over an hour for our food, and part of my order was not correct. What we ordered was cooked perfectly. There was live music that evening, which was nice. It feels like a popular place for locals. We were visiting the area and decided to walk a mile uphill to try it. Lovely views, btw! The Eton Mess was so good!

Lovely building. We had a large room. The two bar rooms are gorgeous to be in - high ceilings, lovely timber, very traditional English. Quite good breakfast buffet. Walking distance to many bars and restaurants. But: two out of three nights the rooms weren't serviced. No phones in rooms to call housekeeping and get fresh towels so had to go to reception twice. One evening no hot water at all. Following morning hot water only Luke warm for about 10 minutes before finally becoming hot. Not friendly hotel for heavy wheeled bags even with lift to main floors because floors also multi-leveled.

Breakfast was nice and the lady staff were nice. However dinner was awful and the staff was not as nice as the ladies in the morning. Everything was just overly fried, also how come no sauce was provided for chips? The meat was dry, chips were dry, it just didn’t make sense. The room was pretty good but the hotel is up on a hill and it was quite a trekking trip to the city centre.

Pleasant enough pub in prime location on Bear Flat. Wide choice of "zoned" seating options and a reasonable but not extensive menu. Choice of ales, lagers, and cider on draught was a little limited, however.

Took my wife for a birthday meal. Oh dear, my meal (chicken kiev) was totally inedible. Overcooked to the point there was no juices left. The starter, Korean based, oyster whatever was so spicy that too was inedible. The wine was overpriced, as were the meals and we actually felt sorry for the waiting staff when they asked if we enjoyed the food. Sorry, I would strongly advise giving this place a wide berth.

We are staying at Tyndall Boutique B&B and wanted something to eat, my partner had Rabbit Pie and I had Chicken Squewers, my chicken was lovely but my partners pie had a few bones, mash was a bit dry and lettuce hard, for the price we were really disappointed, was expecting something better, lovely place and nice atmosphere though. Staff friendly.

What a great find in Bath! The staff was so lovely and the room was very nice and cozy and very quiet for being above a pub. The bed was comfortable and the set up of the room was lovely. We enjoyed our stay so much! We will absolutely stay here next time we are in Bath!

The rooms were great. Great value, loved the interior and had lots of space. The service was decent. The inn manager was very friendly. Location was very close to the centre of Bath but involved 20mins of walking up a steep hill to get there. That does mean it is very close to the Bath lookout where you can see great panoramic views of the city

Oh man this was such an incredible dining experience. Of particular note were the home made soft drinks of which I tried all three. I saw some other reviews saying it’s a vegan restaurant, it’s not but nearly everything on the menu can be made vegan if it is not already. The beetroot and the Jerusalem artichokes were Beth absolutely stellar and I could eat the bread on its own all day. Were Bristol based and had a night in bath and I have to say it blows just about every veggie restaurant in Bristol out of the water
