Good cafe on Preston Marina. Dog friendly. Some outside tables, some parking available. Staff friendly and helpful.

Myself and my partner randomly found this place while waiting for car to be serviced, great little place, great atmosphere, excellent food and service, if we're in Preston again will definitely return

An absolutely gorgeous cafe on the dock side, lovely view, and they are doggy friendly, to the point where dogs have their own menu! The food, drink, and general atmosphere are relaxing. Highly recommended for either a coffee with a friend or lunch with the family.

Pleasant waterside cafe next to the marina and swing bridge. We had a simple lunch but plentiful followed by Fredricks delicious ice cream! We watchex boats coming and going through the locks.

Can believe I've missed out on this place for the last 16 years I only live 200 metres away and called in today for a coffee. Amazing decor great coffee and nice staff a major upgrade from my normal coffee stops. Be back very very soon.

We've been going there for years and have never been disappointed, a dog friendly cafe where you can watch trains and boats, what's not to like.

Not a lot of choice on the menu. Bought toastie and scone and wasn't fresh. Just crumbled away. Butter was put on as a blob not spread.

Went out with friends , everyone was so impressed with the place the food was excellent great value , nothing was expensive we will be visiting the place again also staff were very helpful and very friendly great service

The location of the cafe is lovely. However it needs a manager who knows what they are doing because currently it clear lacks it. They have to suspend service to allow the staff to catch up… it’s ridiculous. Took 30 mins for two coffees. Everything else about the cafe is lovely , just the staff lack direction . It’s not a lack of staff either as there are loads of them.

I recently visited the Beach Hut cafe in Preston while waiting for my car's MOT. Excited about its dog-friendly reputation, I ordered a doggy pork sausage for my pooch and some food for myself. However, the experience took a disappointing turn. Despite confirming its dog-friendly policy, the owner objected when my dog sat on the sofa and I fed her from my plate. Ironically, they charged separately for dog food but deemed feeding my dog from my plate "lack of hygiene." I've been to dog-friendly places in St Anne's and London where dogs are welcome on sofas and served dog food on plates without discrimination. I even raised concerns about my undercooked hash brown, but the owner's response was dismissive. Overall, this cafe didn't live up to its dog-friendly claim, and the owner's attitude left me with a negative impression. I won't be returning and wouldn't recommend it for those seeking a genuinely pet-friendly experience.

We come here very often for food or just a coffee after a walk with our dogs we love it

Great cosy place for friends' lunch together. Friendly & helpful staff, lots of choice on menu. No rush to finish but staff attentive and clear plates away so space for further brew & chat.

After a sunny Autumn walk around the docks with our dog we stopped off for coffee and cake at the Beach Hut, We Enjoyed sitting outside watching the boats and a train go bye. Update ! January not the month for sitting out ! The café is dog friendly so we had coffee and cake indoors. Pleasant seating area , Coffee and cake very good.

A favourite place to have a really good meal . Friendly staff. Good friendly . Lovely atmosphere. Good parking.

Visit here a few times a year when in the area and it's not quite as good anymore. Food used to be better with scones and cream to die for, but they've spread out with more tables as it obviously makes money, not sure if that should affect it, but maybe the cost of food has forced a drive for cheaper ingredients? Not as clean and lost its quirkiness, which is a shame.

What can I add to my last review? Nothing, the star rating says it all. If you've not been your missing out, situated adjacent to the Preston Dock Basin

Great cafe for food and drinks friendly staff

Had morning cappuccino and fresh homemade fruit scone, beautiful. Lovely staff. It is a dog friendly place with quite a few visiting k9's whilst we were there.

Dropped in for a coffee and an ice cream. Very pleasant. On operating days can warch the trains from Ribble Steam Railway passing by.

Lovely little place by preston docks, great interior, great coffee, great staff. Dogs welcome inside or out. Try the ice-cream or toasties. Summer or winter, cosy.

Just come back from the Beach Hut after a pint of Prava!! Great atmosphere, great service, great food, what's not to like? I live on a boat at the marina and the Beach Hut's my regular go-to. Always leave smiling 😄😄.

I was just visiting and decided to stop for a snack and coffee. You can even have a beer if its your thing! Car park available and outdoor seating. Great staff who look after you. A little expensive but it's nice, in a good setting. If your on a bike they have plenty of bike holders.

Great little cafe on the dockside. Sit in or out with nice food and beverage options including draught beers. Excellent refuelling stop on the Guild Wheel. Staff are great too always friendly and helpful.

Really lovely place and location, they just installed a new sitting area outside, dog friendly and the food is delicious. This time though somehow they left out part of the order completely, so one of us was left hungry, and dog bowls were empty too.

First time visit order bacon sasage &egg barm for me plus a amerciano my partner ordered bacon &sasages barm with a lattee the coffee were good the barm cakes were not good cheap sasages egg was well done perfare mine dippy barm cake was dry not fresh won't be going again

My little furball has made this her go to cafe on holiday…… Forget the excellent breakfast choices and superb coffee she thinks the doggy menu is pawlicious

Did eat in here as when I arrived there were to many dogs. But I’m sure it’s a great place for people with dogs. Just not for me at the time.
