Spaghetti bolognese is a simple dish. You'd think an Italian restaurant would get it right everytime. Not BB's. Mamma mia, it was bad. Poor quality ingredients, watery, no flavour, no freshness. Appeared four minutes after ordering - what does that tell you? I wouldn't waste my money here again. Shame, because the staff, location, and atmosphere of this place are good.

My wife and I had our first date here in 2011. What can I say. Wonderful staff, WONDERFUL food, good prices, seating in and out, great atmosphere. Ten out of ten. Absolutely love it here.

We ate as family our first night in Sheffield and enjoyed so much that returned on our last night. The drink menu is diverse and tasty. The menu has classic and newer Italian dishes. All deserts are homemade and delicious. Highly recommend

First visit last night and wasnt disappointed, we prebooked and glad we did as the restaurant is small and they were turning people away as we got there. Ordered Napoli pizza each which was beautiful and shared a chilli garlic bread. All the food was freshly made and so tasty. For desert we had a cherry ice cream and a lemon sorbet. (2 scoops) and were really good potion sizes. We also had a beer and coffee with it and when the bill came, was pleasantly surprised how cheap it was approx £45. Will definitely come here again next time we are out in Sheffield.

Visited this place with the family after remembering it from my uni days in Sheffield many years ago. I love these traditional family run Italians, food was great and portion size on the generous side (never a complaint from me!). Service was fantastic, friendly and accommodating (my son wanted a kids sized calzone which they were more than happy to make) . Prices were very reasonable. I really don't know why she would make a beeline for the usual itialian chain restaurants with food you could get served anywhere in the country when you can enjoy a traditional, independent and friendly experinece somewhere like this. Will definitely be returning.

I was recommended to visit this place /restaurant We’ve eaten at a good few Italian restaurant’s some good some bad, This is the worst ever Frozen chicken strips in the pancake’s and Calzone dry and tasteless . We thought the burnt garlic bread picante was just a bad start but the food just got worse. The craft lager is vile the only thing I had which was decent was the bottle of Peroni I replaced it with Really disappointed as we were expecting something special, Avoid this place at all cost Complained and only got the Peroni for free Pissed up Italian you’re on a winner but if you want tasty avoid at all cost Horrible People will read this as I do and think oh no let’s try But please don’t waste you’re hard earned cash Avoid

Not been in here for years but our friends go regularly, so we went in on a cold wintry night welcomed by our friendly hosts. This restaurant gives you the feel of a traditional Italian restaurant with a warm atmosphere in the city centre of sheffield. I had the Pollo Thermidor which was Breast of chicken with prawns, cream, english mustard, brandy and garlic at £14.50. With this I shared with my wife, formagglo which was a cheese and garlic bread at £6.75. Delicious and no waste, my friend had a steak and that looked mouth watering too.

My wife & I went to BBs as part of our annual trip to see Jools Holland at the nearby City Hall. As usual the food was delicious. We had starters of Mushrooms Alla Creme & Smoked Salmon with Prawns which were very nice but our main course of Paccheri (a pasta pancake filled with various pieces of fish in a beautiful sauce) was delicious. We were seated at the side of a party of around 10 who were very friendly and this added to the atmosphere.

Hemos visitado Bb's muchas veces a lo largo de los años, pero desafortunadamente no volveremos a visitarlo.Reservamos una mesa para 4 arriba, ya que generalmente hay un poco más de espacio allí, pero cuando llegamos todos estábamos llenos como sardinas y el nivel de ruido era insoportable. Comimos rápidamente y nos fuimos, ojalá no nos hubiéramos quedado y encontrado una mesa en otro lugar ya que no disfruté la experiencia en absoluto. Soy consciente de que el restaurante es pequeño y esto es parte de su encanto, pero lejos de muchas personas por el espacio limitado disponible.

Muy buena comida italiana casera, recomiendo la pizza y la pasta al horno. Muy sabroso y lleno de sabor. Lindo y acogedor restaurante, perfecto para parejas, familias y amigos. Came here for a post pay day meal out with work colleagues, we were sat on the big table by the door, needed in the 30 degree heat! Food was great and served promptly, from our garlic bread starters to my cannelloni Antonio to the tiramisu (delicious). The menu is very varied for a tiny restaurant and the prices very reasonable. Would come again.

He estado unas cuantas veces en el restaurante y tenía comidas deliciosas, pero mi última visita fue muy decepcionante. Fui con amigos y tuvimos que esperar más de dos horas para nuestra comida n estaba tibio en el mejor de los casos, algunos platos principales ordenados salieron pero la gente tuvo que esperar otra vez para los pedidos de lado. El servicio no era bueno y pasará mucho tiempo antes de contemplar el regreso.

La encontré por primera vez para mis amigos 40 º. El personal era fantástico y el servicio era perfecto. Mi amigo y yo compartimos los entrantes especiales de pan y aceitunas caseros que era encantador y abundante para dos. Para el plato principal tenía pollo crespelle que nunca había tenido antes y estaba delicioso, el panqueque era ligero con un montón de pollo y la salsa era increíble. Gran ambiente Definitivamente regresaré, el único inconveniente para mí personalmente es que las mesas están muy juntas, así que no hay mucho espacio.

Tuvimos una visita a bbs para un reciente cumpleaños familiar. Mientras hacíamos el pedido, nos sentimos muy apurados cuando la camarera nos preguntó qué queríamos para los platos principales, ya que estábamos debatiendo los entrantes y luego nos fuimos. El servicio estuvo bien una vez que ganamos la comida. Uno encontró que la comida estaba bien, pero una vez más, el servicio al cliente faltaba. Cada vez que nos pedían algo nos sentíamos apurados. En general, la experiencia fue buena, pero no hay necesidad de volver corriendo. Una pena después de tantas experiencias positivas allí.

Was in Sheffield with friends visiting my son at Uni, when after a few drinks found this authentic Italian by chance. Needed a table for 5 and were quickly seated. Food was fab, delicious & hot. Our waiter Simon was very friendly. We were allowed to bring our own wine, so nipped to Sainsbury’s for a few bottles!! 10/10. We will return.

My husband brought me to BB's for my50th birthday meal prior to going to the theatre. We had cheese and tomato garlic bread to share OMG best garlic bread ever! Then we had crespella each I had the vegetable one with chicken added and my husband had the chicken crespella spiced up with extra chillies. Dessert prosseco cheesecake for dessert which came out with a candle on and the waiters singing happy birthday and a shot of Sambuca. Great service and truly amazing food from start to finish. Qué gran pequeño restaurante. 15 de nosotros vinimos aquí como un grupo de amigos como miembros de un club de vinos.Elegimos BB's porque era un restaurante Trae tu propia botella y todos estábamos extremadamente felices con la elección.No solo era un BYOB sino que los camareros eran atentos y estaban bien informados. A diferencia de algunos lugares de BYOB, aquí contamos con apoyo y el personal se interesó en los vinos, enfrió nuestros blancos y trajo vasos adicionales para los vinos nuevos. Gianni y Simone, dos hermanos también son muy críticos con los vinos, así que ten cuidado con tomar algo que no aprueban, ¡te lo harán saber! ?La comida era deliciosa, una buena variedad de platos clásicos italianos, desde Carne hasta Pasta y Pizza. Encantador pan de ajo picante y un buen tablero de especiales también disponibles.

Food was amazing. Staff really lovely. Just a little too cosy for someone who is very claustrophobic. We were at the back of the restaurant and it was a late booking. We did have a one year old with us who loved partying. Not sure the other diners appreciated her occasional sequel of delight.

Encantador ambiente acogedor e informal cálido. Puede traer vino propio pero también puede comprar Peroni o similar. El personal, tan amable, Jill en recepción siempre tiene una sonrisa en su rostro y es amable sin ser imponente. Servicio excelente de todo el personal. . Nuestra comida para 4 incluía bistec, tortitas de pollo, penne Arabbiata y otro plato de pasta con una variedad de entrantes. Todo cocinado a la perfección. Uno de los 4 de nosotros no había estado antes y estaba realmente impresionado. Siempre tenga una noche maravillosa y recomiendo encarecidamente una visita a cualquiera que no haya tenido el placer. Excelente relación calidad-precio también.

Visited this evening before our annual visit to the pantomime. Let us come early so we could get there in good time. Brilliant from the start so welcoming. Made a fuss of all our granddaughters but especially our granddaughter whose birthday it is in a few days she was thrilled. Nothing was to much trouble, our food was hot and delicious. Will definitely be back.

My wife and myself went to BB's on the Thursday before Christmas. The food was fairly average, but the surprise came when we got the the bill. It should have come to around £50, they managed to add it up to £84 !!!!!What made matters worse was we did not even get an apology, the 2 comments we got when we complained were ....... " well it's been a long day" and "if we had meant to fiddle the bill we would just added fiver to it" Both comments are not what we wanted to hear.We may have been a little tipsy, but we are not daft ...... and we will certainly not be returning !!!

I went with a friend to BBs last night and was extremely disappointed with the quality of both the food and service. The meal was very forgettable and I won't be going back. I don't know what's happened to the place but it's as if it has no soul any more. My friend and I were sat in a very dark corner - I said we could do with a candle but none was forthcoming. Without warning the lights flickered and then went off and we were left in total darkness while the waiters sang 2 verses of happy birthday. It was as if we were't even there. Very poor indeed. The Forum where we went for coffee had a much warmer atmosphere, friendly staff and the drinks were good which made the end to our evening much more pleasant than the beginning.

Ordered two pasta main dishes and a garlic bread. The waiter was clearly bored, yawning. The food was very poor quality, lukewarm dry pasta and dry, burnt garlic bread. Half way through the meal the waiters turned all the lights off completely so that we were plunged into complete darkness, while they sang two rounds of Happy Birthday to someone. With no candles on the table we couldn't see a thing, and this went on for far too long. What a rude thing to do to paying customers with a meal in front of them. The waiters (comparative to a pair of immature silly school boys) clearly found the whole episode highly amusing. Disgraceful. To top it off, when we went to pay, with no intention whatsoever of leaving a tip, the woman behind the till had the nerve to ask us did we want our change! With so many eateries in the city centre I do not know how this place stays open.

....which coped well with 14 of us colleagues coming for a pre-booked meal after a board meeting - the usual pre-Xmas jollies. We’d pre-ordered which obviously made it easier and they got all the food out to us pretty quickly and with no apparent errors and no tantrums from any of the party (always an achievement). We must have ordered most of the menu options between and there were lots of smiles and little left at the end: I know my uovo al contadino (egg baked in a tangy tomato sauce) and the gnocchi al pesto I had as a main were both very tasty. Drinks all got ordered and consumed without event - again a tribute to the lively and good-natured staff. Nice atmosphere, central but not too noisy, and a fun place for a reasonably priced and friendly Italian meal. We’ll add it to our list.

Ate at BB's last weekend with a large group of friends. Service as friendly as always but food quality not as good a I remember and a little over priced. Good that you can take your own wine, I would go back but not in a hurry.

Para empezar, no tenía tanta hambre, así que decidí ir por un entrante frío: mozzarella y jamón parma. Era insípido y solo conseguí una pieza de jamón de Parma que por 8 impares sentí que estaba apretado. Mi compañero tenía los champiñones y las gambas. Los champiñones estaban crudos, los langostinos eran camarones y la salsa, aunque sabrosa, era acuosa. Para los principales tuve el penne al forno - ¡Los tamaños de las porciones son muy generosos! La pasta era normal y la pizza era un poco floja.Dicho esto, el personal es encantador y extremadamente atento. El ambiente es insuperable y cuando escucharon que era el cumpleaños de mi compañero, le dieron una oportunidad a la casa y cantaron feliz cumpleaños.Sin embargo, conozco a muchas personas que aman los BB ya que fue una recomendación y probablemente no fue de nuestro agrado ese día específico.

Vine aquí para el cumpleaños de un amigo después de que nos lo recomendaron. El personal era muy acogedor y amable y la comida era deliciosa! Llamé con anticipación para ver si podía traer mi propio queso vegano para agregar a una pizza y el personal era muy servicial y funcionó bien. También puedes traer tu propio vino al restaurante, que es muy útil. Gracias : )

Me encanta este lugar, acogedor, acogedor y de precio razonable. ¿Te encanta el hecho de que tomes tu propio vino? Camarera siempre viene a charlar y muy amable. Normalmente se comparten los panes de ajo y para los platos principales normalmente es un plato de pasta. Muy sabroso y con una buena relación calidad-precio. Muy a la tierra y la iluminación romántica. Si quieres un italiano "caro" con camareros groseros, te sugiero que reserves en otro lugar. Pero si desea una deliciosa comida en un ambiente agradable, realmente necesita reservar y probar esta pequeña joya escondida.

Qué noche tan fantástica, la comida era la cocina italiana de la vieja escuela, los sabores eran increíbles y deliciosos. Así que llegamos a BB's y enseguida el personal era acogedor y amable. Fueron muy serviciales con recomendaciones y consejos ya que teníamos vegetarianos y veganos con nosotros, fueron rápidos para recomendar lo que era bueno. Mi única crítica fue que la cosa vegetariana contra el pasto sabía a lágrimas de inocentes mezcladas con decepciones. Además de que la comida fue absolutamente maravillosa, me culpo a mí misma por no haber pedido una mejor descripción de la cosa anti pasto. Toda la experiencia fue en general muy agradable y definitivamente recomendaría este lugar a otros.

Whilst the food was genuinely enjoyable, the calzone was perfect and I would highly recommend. Starters were delivered in good time for us sitting down to eat @8.30 on a Saturday night. However, as a young couple that clearly weren't local we got the feeling that we we're second to the locals that clearly knew the staff. Personally I thought there was a few comments made at our expense thinly veiled as a joke. My Girlfriend was very excited to go back to a restaurant that she had enjoyed whilst at uni, and whilst we left feeling full we also left feeling disappointed and keen to get out.

Visited with friends. As usual when With friends too busy chatting to look at the menu. Very patient staff. We had one fussy eater and another who watched carefully what she eats for medical reasons. The staff were great nothing to was too much trouble, and tweaking the meals to give us exactly what we wanted. The food was good, very tasty just the right portion size. The specials were really good a little different to the norm. We chatted ages after our meal to realise we were the only ones in but no one was bugging us to leave. All in all a perfect place for a lovely meal. Bonus too u can take your own wine.

Hi folks, wedding anniversary time for the wife and I, hence the table for two. Our first visit to this popular Italian eatery, booked well in advance this time as previously disappointed. Typically small Italian with seating downstairs and up, licenced, although I noticed others bringing their own wine. Nothing flash about the decor, nice and cosy and full to the rafters on Thursday evening which is always a good sign. The staff are friendly and welcoming and forever helpful. Now to the food, her indoors ordered page for starters whilst I plumped for spare ribs. Although the pate was nice it was nothing special and overpriced at £6.95, the spare ribs again nothing special and priced at £8.95. Service was excellent and looking forward to the mains, for me was medium rare sirloin steak in a Diane sauce whilst the wife had Calzone pizza with Bolognese sauce. The pizza was excellent whilst my steak was a little too rare for my liking, nevertheless, a good piece of beef. Didn't bother with the wine, we ordered Italian beer and soft drinks. Some two hours later a second wave of customers filled the room, we paid the bill and left. Verdict 8/10, good but not exceptional, dearer than similar offerings.

Went here for a nice meal expecting great service and lovely food! As soon as we walked in we was asked to hover around the tables at the front of the restaurant, wasn’t allowed to sit down, we were 10 minutes early, we can appreciate having to wait till seated, but when asked for a drink we was told no as it would be very awkward! The lady on reception was very rude! Making us feel very unwelcome! Customer service goes along way and a little politeness costs nothing! We went away and had a drink else where before coming back! The food was lovely and all the rest of the staff were lovely just a shame this lady spoilt our experience and cost them our custom as we will not be going back!

BB's has provided a warm and vibrant atmosphere every time we've been. The staff were friendly and bubbly, and the service was very prompt. The option to bring your own wine provides a cheap and attractive proposition for students and those looking to save pennies! The food was good value for money and filling portions.

Went on Saturday night with my husband and 2 friends , we were really looking forward to a nice Italian meal and BBs has always had a good reputation. We arrived and was shown to our table which was quite cramped. Myself and a friend ordered garlic mushrooms for starters and when they arrived they didn't look very nice , boiled mushrooms in what I can only describe as warm water with abit of garlic flavouring , disgusting I couldn't even eat mine , for main course I had spaghetti bolognese it arrived looking very unappetising , you expect a bolognese to be red and tomatoey but this was brown and tasteless and to top it off my spaghetti was undercooked so that was both my starter and main that I didn't eat . My husband and his friend ordered a pasta dish from the specials board and this arrived , the pasta tubes were undercooked and had to be sent back, about 10 minutes later they were returned to the table with steam coming off them , the pasta was still hard so it was obvious that they had just put them in the microwave for a few minutes after complaining again the waitress gave the excuse that the pasta was so thick it took along time to cook it properly, (so why put it in the menu if they can't cook it right )3 out of 4 left the restaurant hungry as we didn't eat anything , definatly won't be returning here again or recommending to our friends and family

we went as two couples on Saturday evening and we were really looking forward to it as the place has had a good reputation in the past. however, we were very disappointed with everything overall. We had two mushroom starters and a tomato garlic bread. The mushrooms looked like they had been boiled in some hot water with a bit of garlic added and were very tasteless. The garlic bread was not very big for the price of nearly £7 which in itself was ridiculous price for a garlic bread starter and again was not very tasty (if this is possible). The two guys ordered Pecclini (I think that is how it is spelt) from the special board. This was not cheap at nearly £14 per dish. This was supposed to be large pasta tubes with steak topping. However, when the meal came the pasta was barely cooked as it was very hard. We advised the waitress of this and she took them away only to come back a few minutes later with a piping hot dish. Again the pasta was hard and it was obvious that this had been put into the microwave to recook. My friend ordered spaghetti Bolognese which looked disgusting and apparently tasted even worse. This was also not very warm and again was taken away by the waitress only for my friend to be told that the waitress had tasted it and it was okay but maybe could do with being a bit warmer. I had a chicken pancake which I must say was really nice. Overall, the evening was spoilt by the really bad food as 3 out of 4 went out hungry as they had not had anything to eat and the fact that the staff were not really bothered about the complaints. We were told that the owner's wife had said that they shouldn't cook the Pecclini as this was causing a lot of bother. The waitress sorted out our bill which came to £64. She had taken off the two Pecclini's and charged us half for the Bolognese even though my friend had only had two mouthfuls of it. I felt the starters were expensive for what they were and the fact that it is supposed to be an authentic Italian restaurant but there were only pizza and pasta on the back page of the menu and the rest was taken up with more expensive chicken, fish and steak dishes says a lot to me that they are only trying to make more money. The space was also very cramped with a large number of tables put into a small space and nowhere for you to wait until your table is ready. You have to stand outside whatever the weather. I will not go to BB's again nor shall I recommend this to anyone. Very disappointing evening.

Small and friendly restaurant excellent food caters quite well for vegetarians We were a small group but very well looked after the only downside,because it is small it cab be quite noisy But certainly recommend it.

By far my favourite restaurant in Sheffield. Very affordable and well made food, range of dishes- particularly good salmon pasta. Ideal for couples, and bring your own wine made it even better.

Went with a group this Saturday evening. Vegetarian dish had chicken in it which had been started before the discovery. The waiter said 'Oh, ill tell the kitchen' and then came back with a different dish - no apology or anything. The food was honestly vile. There was no flavour to anything, the mushroom starter was mostly water, the spaghetti bolognase was mostly water and nothing had any flavour, at all. It was as though everything had been defrosted and just heated up. The atmosphere was so loud and it is so cramped there, they have tried to shove loads of tables and chairs in. The people behind kept hitting us, we couldn't get out, they couldn't get out. It was a nightmare. Sufficed to say, worst meal I've ever had. I would avoid if i was you, there is plenty of better Italian restaurants in the area. Go to them

First time for me at this intimate little restaurant. Loved it. Staff lovely - they look after you. Take your own wine. Atmosphere authentic. Food delicious and hot. Only small inside but that's what makes it cosy, however we were a group of 10, they just pushed the tables together, had a great time.

My son and I missed this little gem the first time we walked down the street...but I'm so glad we saw it on the way back! We had a garlic bread starter, my son had chicken with ham and cheese with added veg, I had a lovely ricotta and spinach cannilloni washed down with 2 glasses of red...and finished off with a mountain of 5 ice cream flavours...with great service for under £50 including tip what's not to love. We were visiting Sheffield but if we lived here this would be a regular haunt!

I met six of my ex colleagues for a meal and catch up. We brought our own booze and some of my friends were on the beer. The food was lovely and the service friendly and lively. Quiet a few of my friends had never been to BBs before and they were all impressed-I think they will be returning. Thank you BBs for a fantastic evening. Really worth a visit.

Blink and you will miss it. The small shop like exterior doesn't give much away. However, beyond this you will find a quaint, traditional family run Italian joint. The thing I love about BB's is I always feel like I am sitting in an Italian cafe on holiday in a foreign country. The place is absolutely charming, there are family pictures over all of the walls. Its busy and busaling. The staff are fabulous too, so pleasant and cheery and they really make the experience great.Finally.. the foood.. OMG the food. Lets take a minute to appreciate......................the food is amazing!! I personally love the steak or the Calzone. You just can't get food like it anywhere else in sheffield its amazing. the bring your own wine also makes me happy as I am so fussy when it comes to wine I like to choose what I drink.Would definately recommend a visit next time you are in sheffield

We dined here yesterday for a friends 40th birthday, there were only three of us and were sat at the back downstairs. This restaurant is small and tables are very close together which is fine for small groups and couples. Whilst i cannot fault the food i must admit we had to shout over 2 very noisy and rowdy groups that we were in between which at one point ladies from one group were cackling like a coven of witches and stamping feet on the floor like a horse, quite honestly it ruined our evening as no one at the back of the restaurant could hear each other speak and we had to shout over the noise. I can appreciate as a restaurant you have no control over what diners book but maybe large groups and small groups should be sat apart, there is an upstairs and had it not been so busy we would have asked to be moved up. The food was very nice and came quickly, as did the drinks. Staff were very friendly but rushed around relentlessly causing plates to the broken and chairs knocked into etc. I would visit again but maybe on a weekday!

Great food, got to be the best steak in Sheffield, fantastic atmosphere, even in the week on a rainy Tuesday its bulging but still we got first class service, you can even take your own wine.

On arrival we were shown to a table through the back, it was so close to a table of four it felt like we were dining with them(it was reall chummy)I felt quite embarassed so asked to move.I had mushrooms,prawns with melted cheese for starter which was cold in the middle some of the mushrooms were not cooked. My main was carbanara which was really bland, I had to add half the salt and black pepper pot for tasteand to make matters worse it came on a COLD plate REALLY NOT GOOD when serving food this is a must I always warm the plates at home.

I have been here before once and again it's out done it's expectations. Brilliant atmosphere and even better staff. Friendly, clean and fun. Very romantic if you was going for that vibe but equally amazing for a family get together. Sally one of the waitresses makes it a free care vibe with always making sure your needs are met. Thank you so much again for the amazing food made by the chefs (steaks are to die for and the best in Sheffield!) you can bring your own wine which is an extra bonus. All I can say is get yourself to here for a classic night of amazing food, brilliant company and a good time!

Visited this restaurant many times as the food is nice (though nothing special) , it's in a great location and you can take your own wine.On this occasion we were seated downstairs which is a first for us but fine. During the main course there was a strong smell of cigar , the owners daughter apologised and said it's her dad smoking with the door open 'again' and she went to tell him. This happened again ten minutes later. I refused to finish the meal and refused to pay . This message was relayed to the owner who approached our table to shout and wag his finger at us which was unexpected and unprofessional.The daughter tried to brush this off as 'he's always like it' whilst the skinny white waiter mimicked me.Sally is a brilliant waitress, excellent interpersonal skills, funny and kind. I'd also be concerned about the constant smoking by the owner who is also the chef, hygiene is most certainly an issue here.We won't be returning.

Bb's really is a joy to eat at. Between the lovely, welcoming and entertaining staff; the delicious and satisfying food and the warm, jovial atmosphere, this must be one of the most enjoyable dining experiences in Sheffield.The spinach and ricotta cannelloni is delightful and I couldnt wait to tuck into another portion next time I visit, if it weren't for the plethora of other delicious looking options on the menu. The staff do everything they can and more to make you feel like you are eating in an intimate family environment, cracking jokes and serving your every need with pleasure and enthusiasm. One waitress in particular is hilarious and enough to go back again just to enjoy her company.The BYOB element and position just off the hustle and bustle of Division Street, one of Sheffield's most lively night life centres, gives the place a great lively atmosphere that assures all patrons feel at home.Can't recommend highly enough, try it now!

Came here for a birthday party. Staff well organised, courteous and friendly. Menu is good with a wide selection of Italian favourites. The food is full of flavour, well cooked and good quality. Prices are reasonable and the restaurant is licensed. The restaurant isn't big and is very popular so booking ahead is sensible so as to guarantee a table. Well worth the visit. By the way the homemade Tiramisu is superb and worth every penny.

What a brilliant italian restaurant this is..we had 6 couples in our party for my birthday & I so enjoyed it...it was a full house but on arrival we were taken straight to our table even though we were about 10 minutes early...we were sat upstairs with another party that was a retirement & we all joined our celebrations together...our drinks were taken after we had settled down at our table & brought promptly then our order was taken...our starters arrived in good time & were delicious...there was no rush to remove our plates for our mains which was nice....the mains I can't find any fault with at all very reasonable price for a city centre eaterie & they not scrimp on portions...the staff were fantastic...it was my 1st time visiting but defiantly won't be my last...thank you for making the end of my birthday fantastic

Friendly staff and fantastic selection of traditional Italian food. Portion sizes were very good, came out feeling full. This was our first visit and wont be our last. It came highly recommended by our son and he never let us down, cant wait for the next time we visit Sheffield.

Visited on Friday for friends birthday, the food was really nice and the staff are very helpful and friendly. The place was really full so it was a little cramped due to the tables being so near to each other. You have to squeeze in to get past tables and other diners which was the only downside.

Friendly and lovely staff and good traditional italian meals. Seafood was very fresh and well cooked. Disappointed in the portions for the high price, we headed out still quite a bit hungry. Won't suggest it and won't come back most likely for that very reason.

We were a party of 15 in Sheffield for a Hen Night so were in high spirits. Food order taken quickly and all arrived without too much delay. Bonus was their bring your own wine policy, which made for an inexpensive meal out. All the food we sampled was OK, I've had better Italien food, but it was good value for money & no real complaints. Would return if they'd have us - we were a bit noisy!

Went with daughters, Godparents and family for pre -graduation dinner. Excellent food and service. Super atmosphere. Took own wine though there is a drinks licence.

Italian food is my favourite and after trying a few places in Sheffield very few have come close to BBs. Don't get my wrong it can be a little cramped and noisy in there but the food it spectacular! I've tried a few different things off the menu as we visit at least 3-4 times a year and u have never had a bad meal. EVERYTHING must be pretty much made from scratch as you can taste the freshness of ingredients. The steaks are enormous whether you are having sirloin or fillet and the portion sizes are always genuine. Even the side orders of veg are freshly roasted so tasty. Definately one of the best!

I went here for the first time on a Saturday evening with a friend that had been before and recommended BB's. To say it's very central in Sheffield, I'd never noticed it!It's a cosy little place and reminded me of the little restaurants my partner and I found in Rome.Our waiter was great, the food was delicious (I had the pancake filled with mozzarella, chicken and spinach, baked with the tastiest tomato sauce ever!) and the fact you can bring your own wine is a great touch. I asked for a side salad (not on the menu) and was served a huge bowl of fresh salad with olives that the waiter kindly dressed at the table. The staff are friendly, the food is well priced and I can't wait to come back with my partner, who loves Italian food!

this small traditional Italian could easily be overlooked by some of its flashier neighbours but is definitely worth the visit.The staff are wonderfully friendly , there is a wide variety of choice on the menu , there is less choice with the drinks but you can sample an Italian beer from Chesterfield ! The food is good and wholesome and reasonably priced , will be back it's only small so would recommend booking if there's a group or the weekend

While attending a social event at Sheffield City Hall, myself and five friends decided to have a meal before hand .we booked at BB's on recommendation and what a gem of a place it is. We shared a starter of two garlic breads and all had main meals. We had a litre of house wine for the ladies and ten bottles of Stella for the men. Four of the party had sweets and every part of the meal was homemade. When the bill arrived we were all surprised at the amount which was not as much as we had anticipated ( very reasonable in fact). If you're in Sheffield visit this gem of a place, you'll be happy and returning I know We will.
