Popped in before a snooker session and were lucky enough to get a table. (Turned others away later so booking recommended). Warm welcome. Lovely cheesy pizza and spag Bol. Would definitely come again if we get back to Sheffield.

Have been wanting to visit for ages and it did not disappoint! We loved our meal, service was perfect, great price too. We were lucky to get seated without a res Saturday lunchtime - book to avoid disappointment!! Perfect ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

A pleasant evening visiting Mama’s & Leonies for the first time. Staff are friendly and welcoming into the restaurant. The food was good quality and tasty. Ample parking to be found in nearby car parks.

Very popular restaurant. I've lived in Sheffield all my life. I knew of Mamas and Leonie's but had never visited. I will be visiting again. Food is excellent. Not expensive at all. Service is very friendly. Relaxed atmosphere. Had a main meal, dessert and a couple of drinks. Less than £75.

I had Spaghetti Bolognese, and I really enjoyed it. The food quality is excellent and tasty with reasonable prices. The staff are so nice and friendly. The place is cosy and warm. Overall, it's a lovely restaurant!

Came here for a meal for the first time with some friends, and I was very pleasantly surprised. I've known people that have been here and have recommended it, but I've never had the time to try it. The restaurant is a very small, authentic Italian. The staff were very polite, and the menu was very standard Italian cuisine. The pizzas were very tasty, and I even had the fruit pizza (very controversial I know, but I would definitely recommend it). They say they don't sell many fruit pizzas but I really enjoyed it, who'd have thought apple's, bananas, pineapple and raisins work on pizza! We also got some wine which we shared, and all beers/lagers are bottled. The mains were very tasty. My only critiques would be they tell you what the specials are on the board because if you're sat upstairs you wouldn't know, and they had some lovely vegan options I wish I saw, but by the time I saw the special board I'd already ordered. They also did custard with the apple pie which isn't mentioned, but I asked for custard and they did do it which is good. The desserts were also not piping hot so maybe that as well. But in general a very good and tasty experience

Firstly thankyou to the lovely staff who were very polite and attentive. This is the best lasagne I've ever had! As a slightly fussy eater (due to textures) I was a little sceptical to try this but It beautiful. I feel like no words can describe this well enough. I also had the cheesy garlic bread which was just melt in your mouth! The portion sizes are bigger than I expected and deffinatly fills you up! Worth the money and more. Thankyou for a lovely experience, I will be returning!!

We had the chicken pizza, the chicken with spinach pasta, mashroom with garlic, steak, and chips.. It was extremely delicious.

No available tables so was seated at the bar with a friend, then was ignored for 15 minutes, no drink order taken, not even handed a menu. Gave up and left.

Booked in for a family meal for my sons 14th over a month in advance, we arrived to find it was closed, thank god we found somewhere else who could accommodate a group of us at very very short notice😡😡😡

My absolute favourite restaurant. Not just in Sheffield but out of all that I have visited. I have been visiting here for many years and for many reasons. Firstly- the food is just the best. Consistently delicious. Proper home cooked scrumptiousness, that is well presented. You can tell every effort has been put in by the chefs for every dish they serve. The staff are so friendly- not in a pushy way, just genuinely putting in every effort to ensure you enjoy your meal and will happily accommodate any requests where possible. The restaurant itself is traditional, Italian style, stunning, welcoming and very clean. This is my happy place, and I only wish I lived nearer to visit more often. I use any celebratory occasion as an opportunity to come back to my 2nd home and in the meantime they have made me up my fave veg lasagnes to take home & freeze, and save for rainy days when I can comfort eat this restaurants finest in my own home between visits. Keep up the amazing work, and thank you for many years of feeding me with delightful food and the outstanding service you continue to provide. Would recommended this place to anyone & everyone. ❤️

Absolutely disgusting. The staff are lovely but the food is terrible. The lady told us with pride that everything is fresh and authentic. It was most certainly not. Not even Italian. Dated recipies greasy food very sickly. Undercooked and overcooked dishes not one redeeming dish. The staff are extremely deluded as to the quality of the food.

Never had a bad meal here, the food is consistently very good. We've worked our way through the menu over the years and never been disappointed. I think my faves are the garlic mushrooms followed by pancake romana! Super efficient and friendly staff and just a great vibe.

Went on a works do. Pizzas were tiny but nice. 'Homemade' Tiramisu was very nice.

A tiny little joint, which means the tables are a little close together. However the food was good and hearty. We shared a picante mushroom starter (not too spicy actually) but flavourful, and then we had meaty Bolognese calzone, pizza pia (mushroom, tomatoes cheese). All good!

Very warm, home-like atmosphere with kind staff and very very delicious apple pie! Highly reccomend to hop on, get a glass of wine and just enjoy the vibe.

Quite poor overall. Asked 3 times if the pasta was fresh, I was told 3 times that it was. It was not. Waitress seemed annoyed that we took some time to decide. Outdated 80's-90's recipes, while cutting corners in the ingredients, heavy cream usage, canned tomatoes without much care on it's cooking, honestly I can cook better at home. Around 20£ per person for an averaged priced plate and an alcoholic drink. Save yourself

Cosy authentic Italian restaurant. We often visit after work for a shared pizza and dessert. The food is delish, and the customer service is beyond excellent. Food does not take a long time to arrive and is always high quality. The atmosphere is cosy, and the coffee is great too!

Such a lovely place to enjoy a meal. We had ours before a show at the Crucible and managed to have a walk in to a very packed out restaurant (one of the last tables so thoroughly recommend booking). The service was super quick and the food was stunning from our starting garlic bread to the pizza and ribs (which never seemed to end so something that’s definitely worth the price 100 times over) All the staff were lovely and happy to help where they can and we’ll definitely be back when visiting Sheffield!

Great food as always, sorchio and delicious. A broken chair damaged my mother in law's blazer and the only reply was, "sorry" not sure what I expected but felt that response fell short.

The food was excellent and the ambience is lovely. There's a really odd juxtaposition between the very modern area outside and the inside, which is like a retro Italian restaurant. This isn't a bad thing. Overall the only things I could complain about is the music (just a touch too loud and out of place. Not a massive deal though), and the toilets (which were just a bit dated). This shouldn't deter you though. Me and my wife had an excellent meal, I could describe it but I'd just sound pretentious. Suffice to say, their chef know what they're doing. I would point out that only the downstairs is wheelchair friendly, and it's quite cramped.

Always a great place to eat. Good food and nice, friendly atmosphere. And prices are very reasonable. Only negative is you might need to reserve a table as it gets very busy being so close to the theatres.

Been going to this restaurant since 2005 every year going to snooker a meal at this restaurant was our treat always been excellent but this year was very disappointing dont now why but will not be returning the chef needs to be replaced sorry

Great place for a pre-theatre dinner. Service was quick, plenty of (Italian) variety on the menu and super atmosphere.

Love it here , like stepping off the grid ...great atmosphere, lovely food, friendly service . I even love sitting at the bar with food and a beer .

Our family visited here for my birthday and what a treat- a real traditional feel, small but friendly and the food was the best- everything was fresh, tasty and cooked to perfection. I would definitely return and recommend. The prices were extremely reasonable too. It was a lovely birthday treat. 🎂

It's a shame really, I work at sainsbury's and it's just frozen pizza and shop olives from a jar . Really terrible food and it's not Italian sorry guys

A Sheffield legend, Mamas and Leones has been around for years and is still excellent. A favourite with theatregoers. Food is always freshly prepared and hot.

This is a lovely little place to come at lunch or in the evening. Lots of choice on the menu and reasonable prices. Staff are very friendly and attentive. Food is freshly prepared and tasty.

Been going here for 50 years. Chocolate vermicelli.... mmm. Excellent! And the pizzas are my personal standard by which all others are judged.
