BBQ Chicken in Leicester

This is an Afghan restaurant offering delicious and authentic Afghan cuisine, especially the Qabuli Pulao, which is a must-try. The customer service is friendly and welcoming. However, I wouldn’t recommend dining in, as the restaurant lacks enough space for a comfortable experience. It’s much better suited for pick-up or delivery, which I found to be efficient and convenient. Overall, a great spot for enjoying Afghan food from the comfort of your home!

Food was good but horrible customer service, dirty table and after 15 minutes wait you won t even get your food served to your table.

Terrible experience! I ordered a meal directly from their website. My payment was processed, but moments later, I received an email stating my order was canceled. I called the shop to ask why they took my money and canceled my order. The extremely rude person who answered said, "you too far away." If that's the case, why was my order accepted in the first place? They told me I would have to wait 5 days for a refund. What if that was my only available money? Now, I could potentially starve. This place is filled with unprofessional jokers; avoid them at all costs.

Great food great service well worth the visit

The lamb Shish was small but gave me the energy I needed and was relatively filling but the BBQ chicken didn’t taste like BBQ at all. Not the best but not the worst food I’ve had lol

Bad food and bad customer service

We had the £5 chicken, chips and a soft drink option and it was absolutely brilliant! The chicken was delicious, they cook it on a charcoal rotisserie in the window. The chips were well cooked and the meal came with a beautiful sauce. Excellent meal, outstanding value!

Absolutely horrible. Chips not suitable to eat at all customer service being swore at and having a racist comments made at do not order it at all chicken flavourless horrible establishment

Recently I ordered food from this restaurant basically 2 items 1. BBQ chicken which was good ! 🌟🌟🌟🌟 2. Chicken pizza which was not good absolutely Attaching image can see clearly over cooked which was not good and not worth for money you pay for pizza. 🌟🌟 Recommend to try BBQ chicken and chips.

The service was horrendous, I asked for 4 plates for me, my grandma, my mum and my friend, he told me I don’t need 4 plates because I already have two (one with rice and one with chicken) and then I said “I paid for food so I need to eat properly”, the worker then goes “you don’t pay me to do my dishes”. Utterly rude!

Tasty food and fast delivery but wrong food item was sent. I ordered a homemade chicken burger not beef!

Disappointed. Ordered a Kofte kebab. Turned out to be just 2 Seekh kebabs that I could have got from any curry house. Also ordered a portion of fries and extra. They were under cooked, soggy and not crisp and fried in old dirty oil; they stank when I opened the box.

Standard takeaway but really friendly staff!

Tried ordering through just eat but twice order was canceled by saying that delivery vehicle is not functional. (If so then disable the order taking option) Went there to eat ordered afghani pulao. Pulao was okay but on the menu other items were also offered but when asked about the sauce, was informed we don’t have it and it’s just extra in the menu ( then remove from the menu itself)

Chicken tasted grilled and unseasoned, naan was hard and stale. Not satisfied with food at this shop wouldn't recommend at all. When I called the shop the manager was rude, did not acknowledge my complaint...

Changed to 5, clearly deliveroo messed up and blamed it on the restaurant when they called.

Amazing food. Loved their chicken panini, it's an absolute must have. The whole chicken was perfectly cooked and had a good spice balance. I'm 100% coming back for that panini. The price is a bit high but it's worth the money tbh

Would not recommend a knock off of the original, and the customer service was terrible. Chicken was reheated, dry and not seasoned at all, nothing like the original shop on Uppingham road.

One of the finest place to dine in budget and experience quality food. Owner is a great personality to have a conversation and have best service from them. Thank you for great food and time

Taste food and Excellent service

Over the years have bought many times from Narborough Road, Leicester branch and whole chicken, sticky wings, chips etc everything delicious, however, last two times not so delicious. You’ve either changed the way you marinate the chicken or your cooking ways have changed. Also the sticky wings tasted re-heated and disgusting. Not sure what’s going on with your food but change it back.

Calling for order. But someone keeps hanging up the phone on purpose. Maybe owner is not there and workers are taking advantage this..

This restaurant deserves 5 star reviews as it's good was enhanced with flavours and it was very tasty. This place has multiple dishes which will support those who are hungry and fill them up

The food was delicious and bursting with flavour. It was fresh and had the right amount of spice, also the chips was by far the best chips I've tried. Would recommend and I am looking forward to trying it again.

Delicious burger meal! Was driving back from Scotland one day, feeling hungry stopped at Leicester for dinner with my bro thought try this place out as we heard food is nice here, my god this place is so busy, really enjoyed the food here. Staff were friendly, Restaurant layout is ok space wise can feel a bit cramped but food is DELICIOUS. I would recommend try the food here if you find yourself passing by Leicester.

Best Handmade Burgers and chicken, hands down, no one does it better!

Meal was ok just a piece of chicken and some chips but they tried charging me 90p each for 2 cans of drink that was priced marked 45p and I will be reporting to trading standards so they can have get overcharged on a fine that shouldn't of happened cheeky sods

Not like uppingham road branch where everything is made to order. 😏 We ordered a whole chicken meal for 2 or something the chicken was dry. Chips seemed reheated.

Awful. Ordered plain chicken wrap and chicken was brown and looked off. Also had sauces on I did not ask for sloppy and just not edible. Would NOT recommend.

Good customer service. Food didn't taste right. The other Bar B Q Base on Uppingham road is excellent compared to this one.

NOT HAPPY! 7 months pregnant and ordered a burger from here and was raw and pink in the middle,really hope I don't get sick and baby is ok. I realised after 2 bites and did not eat anymore. boyfriend rang back up as we did say on the phone "cook well done" and they said what do we expect them to do and also they will sort it out in next order.if I fall I'll or get sick I don't care but I do care when i am carrying our baby and don't need him getting sick or not well. total joke !really not happy!glad I didn't eat it all and realised after 2 bites.

I ordered the half mixed grill with salad and coleslaw. It arrived in 40 minutes, friendly delivery lady, the meat is beautifully cooked fell off the bone and everthing packaged respectfully. Very please will order again x

Awful service had to wait 2 hours for delivery on a Sunday. Called twice and no apology he just said we are busy arguing with me and seems to think it was ok for a customer to wait 2 hours never use them again they seem to think 2 hours waiting for a chicken is acceptable apalling avoid £5 delivery charge shocking!!!!!

Absolutely disgusted at the fact I ordered a STEAK BEEF Philly the food come and it was GOAT meat which is cheaper!!!! When I called the shop they was arguing with me trying to tell me it was lamb!! Extremely disappointed couldn't even eat my food!!!
