I was pleasantly surprised by the food and service offered. The food was very succulent and affordable, and was beyond my expectations. I got a more than enough of a portion for the price. The staff are very respectful, polite and went out of their way to please their customers. One can feel that their main priority is about customer satisfaction. The server and the manager made it a solemn duty to ensure that the customer is happy and well-served. The owner who is very humble also ensured that the customer is fully satisfied. Well done for the excellent cusine and second to none customer service. I highly recommend this restaurant where you feel that you are not just a number but a valued customer.

4 of us had a sit down meal. Food was well cooked and served relatively quickly. The staff were attentive and overall it qas a nice meal in a pleasant setting. My only negative would be that as a pakistani the food lacked that extra spice kick but that was to be expected with Arab food. Other than that the food was faultless. I would visit again if in the area.

The service was also top-notch; our server Aymen was attentive and friendly. All that staff were friendly and welcoming. Definitely a must-try.

Umniya and Aiman conducted a wonderful service to us. We had a delightful platter of different grilled meats and rice served with fresh bread. The environment and individual rooms made the atmosphere feel welcoming.

Authentic Yemeni cuisine, the staff are extremely polite and welcoming. Sisters are able to sit in a private booth, the food was soo wholesome. The meat just fell off the bone, very tender and filling. Will definitely come back, great value for £!

I went in first to check if it was suitable for my large family, and that’s when I met Mr. Ameer. From the moment I walked in, his warm smile, radiant presence, and genuine hospitality left an impression that was nothing short of extraordinary. He welcomed us so graciously, ensuring that everything was in place and comfortable for my entire family. Throughout our meal, he continued to check in on us, always with a kind word and sincere smile. His attentiveness and cheerful demeanor didn’t just make us feel like customers, but like honoured guests. Even my children were singing his praises afterward! Mr. Ameer played a huge role in turning what could have been just a regular dinner stop into one of the highlights of our trip. My wife, kids, and I all deeply appreciated the care and hospitality he showed us. In my humble opinion, staff like Mr. Ameer are rare gems—and he definitely deserves a promotion! Bayt Al Yemeni is blessed to have him, and I’d gladly return just to be welcomed by him again.

Bayt Al Yemeni offers the best Yemeni food in Birmingham, hands down! Authentic flavors, generous portions, and incredibly welcoming staff. The Mandi and Fahsa are absolute must-tries. Can't recommend enough, definitely my go-to spot for Yemeni cuisine!

I have been to this restaurant many times in the past with my family, the food and the service were excellent. However, we were in Birmingham today and decided to experience the Yemeni cuisines again ,but what a let down, the food we were served has nothing to do with Yemen or Yemeni cuisines. Apart from the oven bread nothing else was right even the Sahawik Juban which a basic easy dish to make. I am 100% sure that the chef either doesn't know anything about how to make Yemeni food or thought these people are not familiar with Yemeni food and they will eat anything. Really disappointed.

I came here and ordered the lamb mendi. The rice smelt like it was cooked days ago and was warmed up in a microwave and served to us. The lamb was chewy and did not taste good at all. We hardly ate the food. Paid and walked out. Overpriced.

The mandi shoulder was on onother level,We will definitely visit again when we come to Birmingham INSHAALLAH.

Overall, it was a decent meal—nothing extraordinary, but satisfying if you're craving Yemeni cuisine. I’d probably return to try other dishes on the menu.

Great options for privacy as there are so many booths, including booths with floor seating and also table seating. Unfortunately though, we felt the fahsa was too spicy, and the rice was too plain. I personally prefer Al Yemen Al Saeed for a more authentic-tasting Yemeni food experience

Privacy is good as curtains around the cabins. Food is yummy but service can be better. We have been here many times and order Shoulder Mandi which is delicious with Kunafe.

I recently visited this fantastic restaurant serving traditional Yemeni food, and I was thoroughly impressed. The highlight of the meal was the lamb shoulder – the meat was incredibly tender and packed with flavour. It had a perfect blend of spices that complemented the rich, aromatic rice. Went there with a group for Iftar buffet, while the food was good in taste and can see the value in it and therefore I am generously giving 4 stars. I was assured when making the booking over the phone that there is no need to order other mains as there will be plenty of food and options in Iftar buffet. However, it is worth noting that almost everything was running out when we started our Iftar after reciting Maghreb 10-15 minutes later in opposite mosque and they didn’t replenish most things when we started our Iftar as well. I had to scrape the sauces/salads off the platter to taste them, the starters were all almost gone and one of the four mains I’ll never know what’s it was as it was just empty. In summary, if you go for Iftar be ready to be there on time otherwise good luck.

I ordered a big order for an office iftar event and they delivered on time and worked with me within the budget I had. I would highly recommend this restaurant for larger events and weddings. First time trying with the staff… omg worse food ever… felt 🤢 service worst ever the place was tooo hot 🔥 it was like being in a sauna 🧖‍♂️ drinks to took over and hour… food was delayed glad 😌 worse foood ever! And I have tried Arabic food before…. Would I come back no way! In regards to your answer, about drinks we came In after 8pm at least someone should come over and put water on the table not just menus, no one came over to check On us how was the food! I work in hospitality myself and this was the far worse service ever! And now one told us it was till service ! And always ask about allergies 🤧

Adding to the disappointment, I was surprised to find that kunafa and fresh juices were unavailable especially on a weekend when you’d expect the full menu to be available. Given how popular these items are, it was a letdown not to be able to try them. Overall, while Bayt Al Yemeni offers a delightful atmosphere and a menu with authentic dishes, my experience with the lamb shoulder mandi was underwhelming, and the limited availability of desserts and drinks was disappointing. It might be worth trying once, but I’d recommend checking in advance if all menu items are available before visiting.

I’ve never tasted such a mouth melting lamb should. Hummus and garlic sauce were excellent We had a full appetizer plate which was delicious 🤤 No need to mention their unique welcome drink which was hot soup 🍜 Huge thanks

Overpriced for what you get. I ordered lamb kofta..and the plate was full of rice...the meat was so tough I'm sure it was beef and not lamb.. oh well, have the experience now.

Very dry meat and expensive normally mandi lamb and chai adani costs around 13 pounds in bab al yemen or fursan or alsaeed been charged 16 pounds and experience wasn't great الحمد للہ

We used to go at least once a month and we used to take all our guests to have food there but the last visit was a horrible experience tbh. The food took so long and the Fahsa arrived without the bread so we kept looking at it for a good 7-10 minutes until the bread arrived. After we finished the food we ordered Arabic coffee and they gave us boiled cardamom water! We asked for another dalla, of course they took some time again and the colour of the coffee changed but it was tasteless. However, after wasting our time waiting for the food and the coffee and while we were having our dessert the server came and he had the audacity to tell us that we spent along time having food and we have to leave! We will never go back there.
