1 of the best peri peri burgers in Reading this place is very under rated it's your normal typical takeaway but the food is good better than going roasters

I been going to Bays for forever and a day. It's one of the oldest and best chicken shops in the area. The Donner kebab and mixed kebab are the best I've ever eaten. The staff are soo kind and show alot of respect and go out of their way to make sure we eat well. Prices are fair and the service is excellent. Overall a great experience everytime.

Nice place to eat something after club night but I think prices are double at nights. Is it fair? I checked other reviews and you can not say your customers ‘we do not force no one to spend.’ I think you do not know anything about customer satisfaction. You can not give negative feedback to your customers. There is a concept called being an entrepreneur and customer satisfaction is very important and your comment created disappointment on me. Yes maybe at night your expenses increase but it should not be double price.

Disappointing. Ordered 8 chicken strip meal for £12 on Friday night and paid another £4 for extra portion of chips. We were in a hurry for the bus and didn't notice they did not give us the extra chips. So £16 for 8 chicken strips, small chips and a Tango. Felt completely ripped off. We were the only customers too, so not like they were handling a rush!!

Plate of rice with lamb shish and chicken tikka. Salad on top. Rice not too dry. Meat was tasty. Fast. Not greasy. Their fried chicken looked good too. 6.99£ cant complain.

Better food and burger than any of the brand restaurants.

Don’t order super hot /spicy because they are really spicy not like other restaurants. So try some mild dishes and it’s really awesome

£7 for a single chicken burger. That’s double the price of a mcchicken. Prices change after 12 pm- meaning they will rob you when you drunk. Taking advantage of vulnerable people isn’t a modest way to make a earning. Shame on you. Reply: Other places in town charge £4 so stop lying

3 bits of chicken & chips for £10...but not bought that in ages! It was freshly cooked though & was molten hot!!

This was advertised as "lamb shish" for £9.99 but was definitely a kofta. Very disappointing as it's ridiculously overpriced and bad quality of food. Please advertise your food correctly

Super friendly staff. I work in town and often go there for lunch. I try different offers from them. Portion sizes needs an upgrade to worth the price. Everything else is fine.

Its ok… if you are drunk. Portion sizes were pretty pathetic. But it was a 2am kebab. With chips for £13.50. Did the job but wont bother again.

This place is a total joke . They must be very hard up that they charge chilli sauce on chips no other fast food dose that only these clowns. Food isn't that good to just got a reply from owner stating chilli sauce is a side mention on the board you comedians is that a side getting chilli sauce on chips boy u must be struggling surprised you guys even lasted this long .

Awful unhygienic flies everywhere began to ate my food found a dead fly on my chip do not recommend

Nice food and good price. Staff is friendly the only thing is that the place is cold in winter but I would still recommend it. My usual order is chicken tikka burger.

One of the new additions to the READING Peri Peri family. There seems to be a lot of Peri Peri restaurants. The only issue with them are that the taste and quality are not consistent. With Bays opening, its an healthy competition. They quality has improved a lot.

Ordered food from here and didn't arrive. Just Eat "investigated" and said it did arrive. No refunds no further questions. Will never order from here again

Wow, i cannot fault this place, from the moment i went in, customer service was on point. Even though it was busy, the food came out super fast and quality was amazing! Would give this place a 10/10 if i could!

Chips were amazing but burger was like a slip n slide. Every time you take a bite both patty's slip out the bun like a worm. Bring a vice to hold the burger while you eat. Pepsi was good but is no coke. Fix up Boss

Good chicken shop in the town centre. Had to pay to park but was worth it for good service, decent atmosphere and nice food. The chips are delicious and it's not just another cheap fried chicken place (although they do have fried chicken as well as grilled).

Meh... Tasted ok. But I couldn't help but to think that the Shish kebab was taken out of a frozen packet. Portion was rather sample size, or shall I say ready meal size. I felt thirsty the whole day after eating there. It was relatively clean and had few a-bit-too-cozy seatings. Maybe I'm just sensitive but I didn't like how the till person shouted down the whole shop with "ni how ma" to ask me to collect my food, instead of a simple wave and smile or simply saying " Excuse me, your food is ready". He also tried to conned me off the drinks that I supposed to have with the meals. Anyway, I gave 2 stars because the food wasn't that bad for a quick bite, but then again, it took quite a while for our food to arrive, not sure if it was really a quick bite. Good luck! 😉 Oh yeah almost forgot to mention that despite the Peri peri name on the shop front, they sell anything but that. I was much disappointed. I brought my guests there thinking they have had good reviews, but I felt so ashamed for recommending such place.

Really great food but food can be late when other people has ordered their food before us each person before us takes around about 10 minutes and there were two people before us so our food came 20-25 minutes after we have ordered it!!

Love Bays! My place of choice for some quality chicken at lunchtime. Price almost seems too good to be true but the taste is always 100% awesome. Friendly staff too! Number 15 is the one to go for!

Great place and location. Food is also very good, recomend the fried chicken, better than kfc for me. A bit expensive but worth it.

Was much nicer when you used to do kebabs (lamb doner, etc). Now the food is more expensive but not as tasty and it's often overcooked. Such a shame as we loved eating there when it was called Chicken Ranch ... please bring back the kebabs!
