Google is wrong this is not a vegan bakery. This looks like a fantastic bakery. Unfortunately unlike what google has said It is in fact not a vegan bakery nor do they have vegan options.

Great rolls, the lentil soup is nice and a decent bacon roll, coffee nice not to strong or bitter, reasonable prices Good selection of rolls and pasties but not much a selection of cakes.

The young guy behind the counter was working like a superstar serving the massive queue on his own but why only one staff member serving at lunchtime on a Friday.

Can't go wrong with Baynes, everything about this shop is better than Greggs. More fillings in their breakfast and lunch rolls. More choice of savoury options overall, although they don't seem to have jumped on the vegan route like the other shop yet. Loads of cake options. I'd go here over greggs every day of the week.

The produce is great, good value, pies are awesome, fudge donuts are good as are their yum yums. Just good value for decent prices, more authentic than Greggs.

I always go to buy so many cakes from the shop but I usually go in the afternoon, but This morning I went to buy some donuts and the both girls in store made me very mad, they were enjoying being impolite and rude to me . So I went out without buying anything . Shame on them but i wan’t go anymore.

Only started using Bayne's recently but so far have been very impressed with the sausage rolls and cakes on offer. Staff very bright and cheerful despite the challenging COVID measures in place but always seem to serve quickly and efficiently. Good value, good bakery!

Weeeeeelll the corned beef roll was as dry as a nuns chuff and you needed a knife to cut the pastry on the apple turnover overall disappointing

Love the rolls. Latte is off the scale and the staff are super helpful. My favourite bakery in Edinburgh.

Bayne's is just so good with their products and this one is open also on Sundays so it's a good place to get something on the way out of Edinburgh.

The yum yums are amazing. Truffles a bit sticky. Empire biscuits could be a bit softer. But the yum yums !

They make the best steak pies wish there was a vegan range too
