Bayleaf Ferryhill in County Durham

Ordered takeaway, my friend got butter chicken it was swimming in fat like it had split. She had chips with it, they were frozen ones, cheap frozen ones at that. Her peshwari nan was dry and had no flavour at all. I had chicken tikka pathia, no flavour at all , the Nan was also dry and inedible. Rice was fine. Also there was 5 tiny pieces of chicken in each curry all the rest just sauce. I’ve used this restaurant fairly regularly over the last few years, always been good. Will not return, very disappointing.

Made a large order for my daughter's 30th birthday get together and I can only say how fantastic the food and attention we got from Jay and his team was. Food was ready spot on time and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the variety of dishes. Thank you so much Jay for your kindness and excellent service. If you haven't been to or ordered from Bayleaf before, I can definitely recommend them. Top class.

Had a takeaway last night it can be a bit hot and miss but generally good. Last night was dreadful to the point of “never again” the over use of red food colouring is frankly absurd. I can only think it has changed hands. Why can takeaways in the north not get the basics right.

Absolutely amazing food, I felt slightly under the weather when I went, so asked the host for some of the foods on the menu that would shift Sinus issues, he described to me the actual effect they had and which was best. So I followed the advice and wow Razala Madras hot was fresh, tasted healthy and had big chunks of Lamb in, the rice was beautiful cooked with a brilliant Keema nan

I had a takeaway. Mixed biryani and chunky chips. Food was brilliant. Chips are the chunkier I've seen. The biryani was very nicely spiced and not overly hot. I would have given 5 stars for the flavour but I didn't think there was enough meat in the dish. Will definitely be back

We have just had a delivery and it was really good. I had vegetable dansak and my partner had fish tikka, we also had some sides. All the food was hot (temperature), well wrapped and delicious. It took about half an hour from ordering to delivery which was great. We'll definitely be ordering from here again.
