Bay of bengal in Belfast

Ordered online at 1937 before going out. Told it would be an hour. Patient as I am waited until 2120 when we decided to stay in . Told it was on its way. (5mins drive) Called again exactly 2hrs later and told it wasn’t in its way and wouldn’t be coming. Refund immediately which shows that it hadn’t even been thought about. Awful awful customer service and pretty hungry. DO NOT USE.

All course cold had takeaway 2 hours waiting for it and it was cold had to heat in microwave and they forgot dips for popadoms Worse I’ve had out of here

The most ignorant person, avoid at all cost - give your hard earned cash for another business within the community. I ordered a large takeaway via app, for a birthday, and collection time given (was about 50mins from order to collection time). Arrive at collection time for the order, to be told by a very ignorant man that it was not collection time and it was one our later, I showed him the app timings and he said it was untrue!! And it would be 40minutes. 35minutes later I received my order. Arrived home from there to one main dish, 1 side and 2 rice missing and one random dish we didn’t order. Phoned and explained to the girl, she said she would put me onto manager (the very ignorant man). He told me it was a lie (why would I ruin my family event) With a lot of telling I wanted what I paid for, he said it would be ready in 10 (meanwhile my family had to eat and share what was there). When I arrived at restaurant he wasn’t for giving me food, I asked for the value refunded and that was a rude no also, finally gave me food. Such a rude unorganised business that I will not, and make sure my friends and family know not to buy from. I’m all for supporting local businesses, but with this attitude I will be support another local business and certainly not this rude business, Food was usually good from here but was more sauce that mean, one dish have about three chunks of chicken. AVOID THIS VENUE

We had an impromptu and rare meal out last night, partly prompted by the 2 courses for £15 deal. All the food was lovely especially the chicken chat- the bread was so soft and the Lamb biryani was delicious. The naan was freshly made still pan hot when it arrived. The staff (owner) was very friendly and chatty but not in your face! A really enjoyable evening out.

Visited with partner and friends on Friday night past and really enjoyed the fresh, tasty food and the friendly and welcoming service from Hakim. Curries were tasty and plenty of good quality chicken. Naans tasty and of a good size! They do a great deal of any starter, most curries and a rice and naan for £15, which is top notch value. B.Y.O., too. Deserves to be busier and continue to grow, so give it your support, folks! =o)

Tasteless overpriced food - more gravy than meat. Very disappointed - hard to find a decent Asian meal in Donaghadee. One last place to try.

We went in to order a very large carry out. There was no staff in the restaurant. We knocked the kitchen door and a staff member came out and said wait a minute. We did and he came out again. We gave him a written list of what we wanted and he would not accept it and said just tell me what you want. We did and he said it would take 40 minutes and was very ignorant to my Wife. She told him to forget about the order. When i (the husband} returned to the restaurant he appologised and offered to give us the ordered meal free of charge. We refused as he was the most ignorant person we have ever met. We live in Donaghadee and we will never give any business to that restaurant again and we will be informing our friends of his behaviour.

Food was lovely and fresh and hot on delivery. We enjoyed the set meal, good variety on offer. We used the app for the first, really good value. Thank you

The food was just superb, all freshly cooked, we had the curry club and could not believe how much food there was at a very low price and all chosen from the main menu, the owner Hakim was so friendly and informative gave us good advice on the dishes we chose

Tonight I ordered from Bay of Bengal Donaghadee for the first time for delivery to Millisle via their online website. I waited an hour exactly from placing my order to receiving my food which is what is to be expected for a Saturday evening. The food was amazing, I got Chicken Tikka starter, Chicken Korma with chips and poppadoms. The chicken just fell apart it was that fresh and the portions sizes were huge! Definitely recommend! Food was excellent☺️

I do like this place and have ordered on number of occasions but was shocked to find out it only had a 1 hygiene rating what's going on would like to know why

Ordered takeaway from here for the first time despite them being just around the corner after being told the food was the best. Ordered a set meal for 2, omg what a meal, I have paid double the price elsewhere, and honestly would pay more than £21 for the same meal. Food was beautiful and plentiful, lunch next day was sorted lol. I will be a repeat customer! The naan bread is amazing.

The quality of food is consistently good, during the pandemic this has been a life saver many thanks .

All fresh ingredients. 1st class food. Prompt service. Highly recommend it. Good menu. Esp the Bangladeshi menu.
