Ausome place came ere 2 yrs ago the place was so comfy staff were fantastic atmosphere outstanding & very friendly food was out of this world so tasty the only trouble I had with this pub I did not 1 2 leave but could not afford 4,2 stay any longer pitty love 2 come again staff were just the best ever so friendly helped me a lot bent over backwards 2 help me

If you are looking for a country pub with accommodation , very good food and traditional beers , nice staff and owners look no further if you are in North Yorkshire Chris and his wife who own the business are very welcoming , the food is very good pub food with generous helpings at breakfast and dinner

Had a lovely dinner and nights stay at this quaint and cute pub. Food first of all is very reasonably priced, with a varied selection. Portions are generous and most importantly, it’s all delicious. Cod goujons, ham hock, lasagne all were a delight. Owners are friendly, WiFi is good. Rooms are a decent size, clean and well equipped.

Stayed here on my way cycling to the north east and a had a great stay. The landlord/hotel manager was really welcoming and accommodating and went out of his way to make sure there was vegan food available for me both in the evening and for breakfast. The pub itself is full of character, is nice & cosy and situated in a lovely little village near Thirsk. I'd recommend this place and would 100% stay here again.

We nip in for a pint after work sometimes, the staff are excellent. The landlord is friendly, welcoming and chatty, the beer is always top notch. The beer gardens (front and rear) are relaxing. The parking is plentiful and easy to access. The food is nice, we tried it once and will visit again. It's a traditional old pub, you can't ask for much more. The bar is often heaving, which is a great sign for a village pub. This place is definitely doing something right. The facilities are always very clean. Can't comment on the rooms as we have not stayed.

Honestly this place is an absolute gem! We had the absolute pleasure of stopping here over the weekend. Food incredible! Ale impeccable and the staff and locals warm and welcoming. Honestly I couldn't recommend this fantastic pub high enough.
