We held our daughter’s 4th birthday party at the Balcony. The venue was perfect - private, plenty of room for the children to run around for a mini disco and enough room for the adults to sit and have a drink too!

Brilliant venue, excellent food and service. Andy was an excellent host and made sure the evening went without a hitch. Will definitely use again, it really can not be faulted.

We held my mum's 60th party here & it was the perfect venue! Andy is very warm, friendly and accommodating & catered to anything we asked. Thanks so much for a wonderful evening - I would 100% recommend holding an event here.

Could do with more outside seating but service good. Didn't eat so no comment on food

Great venue - well proportioned and laid out for a family and friends event - we had my godsons engagement party there - perfect size. The PA and light system was spot on. Sounded great. Staff were super nice and proactive. Great setting overlooking on both sides the main and second fields. Other facilities - all good. Well kept Guinness and masham sheep bitter. My wife complimented the house red. Seemed to have recently modernised. Bright airy space with balcony on both sides and ‘to door’ access for taxis. Would recommend

We hosted our wedding reception/party here and honestly, we couldn’t have wished for a better experience! Communication with Andy beforehand was incredibly smooth and the staff on the day were amazing. The lighting and dance floor really gave the room a party vibe. It was amazing, 11/10 would recommend.

We celebrated a family 21st. Nothing was too much trouble for Andy and the team. The room was set out well and the lighting really set the room off. The foid was delicious (taco bar) and plenty of it. A beautiful room with balcony and views over the cricket pitch. We will use again.

What makes the Balcony Bar so amazing- apart from a wonderful venue it has to be Andy and his team who are all so helpful friendly and go above and beyond to make sure you have the best night. The facilities at the Balcony Bar are perfect for any celebration. Would highly recommended the Balcony Bar to anyone.

We booked the Balcony Bar for a private lunch after our baby's Christening. The whole process was incredibly straightforward and Andy was very helpful. Lots of guests told us how much they enjoyed the buffet and a complex range of dietary requirements was handled perfectly. The range of drinks available also went down well.

Booked for 70th Birthday party and everything went without a hitch. We had a great night and so did the birthday girl.

The Balcony Bar has been the perfect venue for the Christening parties for our two boys (one in April 2022 and a recent one in May 2024). Andy and his team are accommodating in terms of declarations, set up, food, etc. We’ve been able to move tables around, set up areas of toys and crafts for the children, etc. The food is great and there’s a great drinks selection too!

What a great venue and amazing service. Andy is a total pleasure - his communications, flexibility from the booking to on the night. Nothing was too much trouble for my birthday party where we had a band playing. The staff were great on the bar, so welcoming. Can’t recommend highly enough. (We catered our own food from Indulge).

Had my daughter’s 18th party here. Andy was great at helping me book everything. On the evening we had a lovely lady organising the taco bar and a fabulous lady behind the bar. We were made to feel extremely welcome and that made the night more fun. We were allowed in an hour before to set up and everything went really smoothly. Very reasonably priced and great size. I would definitely use again for an event.

We celebrated Nepalese New year here on 12th eve of April 2024. It is just a perfect venue with beautiful ambiance around. Andy is a very wonderful event manager, he assisted for the event smoothly from the start to end. A perfect recommendation for any kind of event/retreat for all.

Great venue for 50th birthday party with lovely setting, lights , music and dance floor with plenty of room, seating and bar. Great informal atmosphere. Staff wonderful and friendly. Linda catered wonderful pie and peas and Andy lovely to deal with to arrange the do. Cannot praise them highly enough.

We were a group of 22 looking for a location for our annual Christmas lunch that would provide an element of privacy. We asked for two main course options and pre ordered our choices. The food was provided promptly and was delicious. We hadn't pre ordered a sweet, but Andy was able to come up with two options promptly. The Balcony venue was excellent, welcoming and providing plenty of space for moving around. The views are impressive, or would have been if it hadn't been foggy! A good selection of beer and wine to round the meal off. A really enjoyable lunch and afternoon. Thanks to Andy and his team. David and the Luncheon club.

Our group the FNC (Friday Night Club) held our annual Xmas luncheon at the club. Andy & his staff laid on an excellent (an I do mean excellent) Christmas lunch. Food was really lovely and lots of it. C.A.A Mobile Discos provided the entertainment for a 21st birthday party and the venue was ideal for this and would be for most events. The staff and very polite and professional and very attentive.

We have catered for a private event here and it’s a great venue with friendly staff, highly recommend!

We had a post wedding BBQ party at the bar on Sunday 27 August. The team did an amazing job and everyone had an incredible day. The BBQ package was delicious. Would highly recommend as a venue for hosting parties or otherwise. Will certainly be going back!!!

Andy and the team pulled out all the stops to host a Women's World Cup Final party that was open to all. Great service and delicious sausage or bacon baps on tap 😋

Would recommended The Balcony time and time again after our experience. Having hosted our a baby shower there, from the moment we booked to packing up, Andy and the staff were invested and hands-on to make sure it was a memorable event and that we could focus on interacting with our guests, rather than the planning and logistics of it all.

We booked the top floor for my son’s christening party and it was perfect. Andy was really helpful in the lead up to it which helped us to organise it, and on the day the team were friendly and did a great job. The venue is lovely inside and has a nice choice of drinks at the bar. We’ve had loads of comments from people who came saying it was a good venue. We would definitely recommend and we would book again to use it for future parties and events.

Our event at the Balcony was absolutely perfect! Andy and the team did a fantastic job taking care of everything, the venue was perfect, the food was great, and all our attendees were very happy with the event. We would certainly come back again!

We had our daughter's wedding reception here on Saturday, Andy and his mum Linda couldn't have done more from the first meeting. The food Linda freshly prepared was excellent our guests were all very impressed. The girls on the bar were brilliant even going round turning on all our twinkly lights when it got dark.They all made a special day extra special .Thank you

Wonderful place to hold a party, had my daughters christening party there at the weekend and it was superb! Communication was always great organising it all, the food was lovely and the staff were all brilliant and friendly! The place itself has got lovely views of the cricket pitch! Very pleased we chose this to host her christening party.

We hired the Balcony bar for a birthday party in January. Was a terrific choice of venue, handy to get to for our guests who were staying in harrogate hotels, good reasonably priced catering, and the room looked great. There was plenty of room for our 65 guests even with the dance floor down. Andy throughout was most helpful and communication was clear and efficient throughout and he was a pleasure to deal with.We will definitely use the venue again.

I had my 40th Birthday party here recently and the venue was ideal - a really nice space. Arrangements made through Andy were straight-forward and easy, the bar staff were friendly and attentive, and the drinks selection was good. I really liked the flexibility of being able to hire in external catering (pizza truck) and entertainment (DJ and PA system). It all worked really well and I'd certainly recommend to anyone planning a private party in the Harrogate area. Cheers, Andy and team

We chose the Balcony Sports Bar to host my late wife’s wake. Whilst a sombre occasion Andy & team were very attentive and accommodating. The local beers and spirits were well received and the guests commented on how good the AV equipment was too. The food was great and good value. Thanks guys - highly recommended.

We had an amazing party at the Balcony Bar. The staff were really helpful, the communication beforehand was great and the night ran so smoothly. Couldn’t have asked for a better venue.

Massive thanks to Andy and his team for hosting our wedding night do! The venue was perfect for what we wanted, many guests called it a hidden gem. The lift was great addition to help the DJ lights and equipment but also for bringing pushchairs for our smaller guests. The venue is private clean and easily accessible and the dance floor was a great added bonus. Thanks again Andy and the team. We’ll be back soon.

We have never used the Balcony Sports Bar before for a venue and we’re very impressed. The room was perfect for my daughters 21st party. We had a dance floor, seating area and a private bar with friendly staff. Christmas lights were already up at the windows so with the added balloons, it looked perfect. All the guests were impressed too. Andy was very helpful and nothing was a problem for him. I would recommend the bar to anyone without any hesitation and am sure in the future we will use them again. Thank you Andy for all your support Sue J

A fabulous venue for my 50th celebrations. Andy was most accommodating with all our requests. Linda makes the most fantastic hot buffet and the bar staff were efficient and were great with the guests. Would highly recommend the balcony sports bar, to host any occasion.

Wonderful place we used to celebrate my daughters first birthday party! Andy was excellent from the second I booked it. Obviously the price is EXCEPTIONAL for what you get. TV and speaker system was great too and lots of time given in advance of the party to decorate, all included in the price. Always nice to have my own cricket club grounds in the background on both side of the venue! Can’t fault it at all!

Highly recommend hiring the balcony bar for any event. Great venue, great bar staff and accessible for all Andy and Linda thank you for such a great night and a warm reception but most of all making Sara’s 40th a night of fun and many memories made.

Had a brilliant event at The Balcony Bar to celebrate a significant milestone birthday! We have used this venue for two christenings now and it was perfect for a gathering of up to 80 people! Easy parking, accessible and a beautiful location and venue. Andy and his team were extremely helpful. Highly recommend!

We hosted our daughter's christening at the Balcony Bar, and couldn't recommend it enough! Andy and his staff were fantastic and ao helpful. The venue was a great space and plenty of great beer!

Good venue. Could do with a baby changer though the mat on the floor in the toilet was ok but had to clean the floor before hand as you can imagine what was on the toilet floor.

Hidden gem of Harrogate for Weddings! We can not fault Andy and his team for everything they provided for us, our wedding transport was a bit of an issue which meant we ended up arriving an hour earlier than planned but this was no problem for the team. All the guest have said to us how much they have enjoyed the night, the food was amazing and is still being talked about now! Huge thank you to the Queen of the kitchen (image provided 😍)

Fabulous venue for a party! We had our daughter's 18th party here and the staff are so friendly and helpful. Couldn't have been happier!

Great place to watch a cricket match from on a hot day. The bar is located in the middle of the open area. Upstairs offers the best view for watching matches. There is a lift to the upper floor for anyone who needs this. A reasonable selection of beers and lagers.

Couldn't recommend the Balcony Bar more highly as a venue for a birthday party. Andy made the whole process very straightforward and everyone had a great evening. Many thanks Andy.

Myself and my wife recently had a birthday party here with about 80 guests. Great venue, easily accessible, plenty of parking, no silly town centre prices, quality hand pulled beer, good food, good sound system etc etc. An excellent venue for any type of party/event.

Excellent service staff amazing.

It's the Harrogate cricket club bar, so not a normal night out. But if you do end up here they do have some decent beer and the staff are warm and friendly.

Paid to book a table to watch the football semi final which wasn't great especially seeing that there weren't actual tables and the menu was scarce. But the planned sport made up for it plus I've found a place to go in Harrogate..

Great little gem. The staff are all really friendly and a great place to catch a game of cricket.

Andy has created a great COVID compliant venue with tasty home made food, a good range of drinks all hosted by a wonderful, friendly team.

Good breakfast, good coffee, with views over greenery rather than roads and other shops. A great place to work for a couple of hours. Will be coming back. Lots.
