Baxter's in Calderdale

Lovely lady always smiling, she makes you feel welcome when you enter. Me and my partner love the food and always tasty. Food is always hot.

Lovely food as always, it’s local to me. Me and my partner come when we both aren’t working. My partner gets the cheese salad box and is always full. The belly buster is a must, the lady is always smiling and pleasant. Glad to help a local business out .

I moved to the area a year ago and of the 20+ times I've been to get food from Baxter's, it has been open 3 or 4 times. Earlier in the year they sometimes put notices in the window but now they don't bother at all. They have no consideration for customers who may be walking round regularly expecting them to be open. They are the only sandwich shop in the area or I probably wouldn't bother at all. The hygiene and food is generally quite poor, eggs are always overcooked, and done on a dirty griddle so the underside of the egg is covered in brown grease and filth. I would say avoid them if you can, but it seems they're avoiding customers so that shouldn't be a problem.

Baxter's was very convenient for a nourishing English breakfast while I was on holiday in the area. The staff are very friendly and the service is prompt. The location on the Huddersfield Road makes Baxter's easy to find.

I used to love this place for a butty and a natter but the last few visits have been very disappointing, the food was under cooked and I was made to feel that my presence was a inconvenience. I regularly visit the hospital but will be getting my breakfast elsewhere now

Good choice ok prices and handy for the hospital lot of warm and savory anf not too long to wait for things

I work across from the hospital and go here most days. The food it fantastic every time and the service is great. I would highly recommend this place!!!

They are very friendly and kind people and also do rally nice food too.I come every other week not all tome but they know me very well I used come here all the time and its the best thanks Gemma Edwards xx

The food here is amazing! I go nearly every morning for a Baxter’s belly buster breakfast sandwich. The sausages are beautiful and the bacon is just right. The bread is so soft! It’s my favorite sandwich shop in Halifax by far. The prices are good and the staff are so polite.

Every visit the food is brilliant. Made with fresh produce, and large portion sizes. Prices all very low compared to any other in the area and you will not get the same quality/size for the price. Definitely worth a visit, especially if visiting the hospital across the road - much better than anything you will buy in the cafe there. Staff also lovely and friendly

I have gotten food here 3 times. The first time had me on the toilet for hours ill. The second time was me hoping it had been a big and not the food. The third time has had me ill again. Was poorly for 48 hours! The food is not good, it is cheap and tasteless. The sausage are like cardboard, the egg is tasteless, the bacon undercooked and everything else is soggy. I left a review on their Facebook page saying the food had made me ill. Their response was to block me. I never really bother with reviews but I'm so angry and poorly that I can't let it slide. Avoid at all costs!

Love Baxters for quick bites it does a good selection of sandwiches and pies and great tasting buns/pastries

The food was cooked just to my liking. Went back for a second time in the same week and equally just has good. So much choice I will have to visit again soon. Staff welcoming an friendly. Prices very cheap for the quantity you get.
