Baxendale's Cafe in Bradford

Precioso café a la antigua con comidas agradables y abundantes. Hice pastel de carne casero. Guisantes con papas fritas. Brillante comida básica sin emociones. Si estás en el centro de Bradford, ¡pruébalo!

I've been going for 30+ yrs,with friends ,family. Started taking my kids when they were in a pram now its my 1 Yr old Grandaughters turn. Spam,chips,beans,gravy and a mug of tea everytime !!!!!!! 5*

By far the best of the market cafes in Bradford, despite them being owned by the same extended family! Steak pie, boiled and 2 veg; beef and Yorkshire, chips and cabbage with marrow fat peas - both £5.90. Fantastic value for money! Very clean, friendly service, Eric the owner looks a bit past it these days, but let’s hope he reopens in a new location when the market is demolished next year! My only criticism of the current place is that: 1) the church pew seating was much nicer; shame Eric got shut of it! 2)there’s never enough seating, so if he does relocate, hope he finds bigger premises!

My wife and I were visiting Bradford and looking for decent food to eat without costing the earth. We found it here. My wife had a huge portion of Shepherd's Pie with all the trimmings and I settled for steak pie; Both were wise choices. The steak pie was the best I have ever tasted. Excellent food at excellent prices with excellent, friendly service.

Whenever in Bradford I always call here for lunch. The cafe is situated within the indoor market. Whilst the food courts at shopping centres have their use, cafes like this offer a much more personal service and choice . Staff are friendly and it is clear they enjoy their jobs. The tables are kept clean and cleared . You can have all the usual wholesome hot meals of your childhood as well as cold snacks and desserts. . The choice is wide and can be adapted to your taste . I generally opt for double egg, chips and peas with a large latte.. The cost for this was just £5.90. Excellent value for money! The food is freshly cooked to order . My meal arrived piping hot and I have to say my fried eggs were the most perfect ones I have ever been served. The appearance and taste was just right. Give this little place a try for yourselves ... if you can get a seat

One of the cleanest cafes you could ever wish to patronise, the tables are always being wiped cleaned by the friendly staff. Food is good and the coffee is up to scratch. All in all, a traditional market caff where you get good value and service, what more could you ask for?

Baxendale's has been my choice for breakfast for over 30 years. The quality has remained consistent and never wavered. The menu offers favourites like full fried breakfasts and braised steak. Good English standard café fare which is becoming quite rare. A No-frills, clean and friendly gem.
