Excellent service and amazing ambiance. Played great music and has lovely furniture/decor so a great spot to relax or get some work done (as I did). Holly was a great server and made a great Chai. I would recommend the pastrami bagel.

I visited the centre for an arts show. It was easy to find. The entrance is a good size with a cafe / bar to one side and a help desk to the other. It is worth your time to have an explore of the building with many old features on the brickwork and vintage posters on the wall. From the central atrium, lovely dome, there is a bar to the left and straight ahead is the concert hall. Really enjoyed my visit and will go again.

We had our wedding at BAC in December 2021, we had a beautiful day and the venue was a stunning back drop. However, the service was rather disappointing from the beginning. Email responses were very slow, even leading up to weeks before the wedding. Flexibility was challenging with a few hidden costs for extra features, which was frustrating considering the hire of the venue alone is quite pricey. On the day of the wedding adults were served their food first, which left children waiting for theirs, this was quite frustrating because on the day of your wedding you just want everything to run smoothly. Also we paid for bread for the tables, but there was no bread. At the end of the night the events manager ensured me that the rest of the cake would be in the fridge for us to collect the next day, as well as the rest of the flowers that we had paid a lot of money for. When my Dad arrived the next day to collect the flowers and the cake, they had been chucked away; which was very disheartening and upsetting. Following on from this the events team at battersea denied that they had thrown them away and accused us of agreeing to throw the cake away. I don't know anyone who would agree to throw a £500 cake away. To add, I handmade table numbers by pressing flowers in small glass frames, at the end of the night whilst they were packing away, I walked into the back room to collect our things only to find all the table numbers I had spent weeks making smashed all over the floor :( It is these reasons that I would not recommend battersea arts centre as a wedding venue, as the whole organisational process was very stressful and they were irresponsible with our cake and flowers.

Built in 1893 (the Metropolitan Borough of Battersea wasn't formed till 1899), this was (till the 1960s) the Old Town Hall, home for 30 years to the most progressive borough council in London, and the scene of extraordinary debates, mass public meetings, conferences, rallies (it was the HQ of the 1926 General Strike), but also of concerts, lectures, theatres shows, film screenings, dances, boxing tournaments, funerals and weddings, fashion shows, organ recitals, discos... You name it, it's happened here! It nearly closed in the 1970s, was rescued by popular demand and became Battersea Arts Centre in 1980. Then the Great Hall was destroyed by fire in 2015! But it's been lovingly rebuilt with local support and reopens later this year (2018) when the building will be 125 years old. It's not just the history that's amazing here: the atmosphere today is unique, everyone's friendly, the spirit is decidedly young, creative experimental.... There simply is no place quite like it!

My friends and I went here yesterday for the play "The Drill". We met in the atmospheric bar first and enjoyed our time there. The the whole building is a historical feel to it and the old original decorations are fantastic. Very nice backdrop for culture, art and even as wedding venue.

I regularly used the Battersea Arts Centre as a work space during my visit to London in June 2016. The wifi is quite reliable. They serve coffee and food as well as alcoholic beverages. I often had the salad, which consists of a selection of about four salad types of which one can make an own combination and which varies by day. The coffee is of good quality. The staff are friendly.

Had a very nice chicken burger and chips. My wife ordered a salad and was surprised by the arrival of the salad on my burger plate (actually a board) in a ramekin. I thought it was a side salad but no it was a salad. Very good way to lose weight. Most of the salad fell out of the ramekin onto the table where it mingled with the burger juice adding to the patina of retro knowingness. Personally I think serving stuff on bits of wood is a bad thing too but when trying to be hip chefs don't know when to stop do they.

Just went for a drink to see how they are recovering after the fire. The bar was lively, full of arty intellectual types earnestly discussing Descartes and "the Wail" which was showing when we were there. They service very nice beer and we stayed for two rounds whilst admiring the eclectic decor and customers. A little break from the usual Clapham bar scene and worth a nosey.

We had a really disappointing experience here, having returned on the back of a great night a few years ago. Although the food was still tasty enough, the service was dreadful on this occasion. There were only 3 other tables with diners on while we were there (while other restaurants close by were rammed), and yet it took an age for our food to arrive. After a slight altercation over some wine that one of our party wanted to return (it tasted corked, but we hadn't seen it poured, the waiter refused to accept there was anything wrong with it) we were all without drinks while waiting for the food. Half the table was served food, with the rest following at least 5 minutes after, one dish without a final element for another 10 minutes, and drinks, which had to be requested when the second half of the food turned up, following a bit after that. Once finished, we had to go to some lengths to ask for the bill, chase it up, and our plates still hadn't been cleared by the time we left. They charged 12.5% service.
