Basilico - Finchley Road in Camden

Absolutely awful.....drenched in a litre of oil....the dough seemed like it had been in the fridge for about a week.....nasty stale cheap ingredients.....delivered like the delivery rider had just completed an army assault course - lop sided and all over the place.....absolute waste of money.....I'd wager the person who constructed this monstrosity was possibly drunk.....real Italian pizza?.....its about as Italian Reykjavik.....an utter disgrace.

We are regular customers but my flat mates all love the delivery driver who delivers our food. Rocky is 10/10 when it comes to being fast friendly and our food is always hot. Some of the other drivers aren’t quite as friendly as him.If you ever wanna order food and have it on time and hot always ask for him you will never be let down. We don’t come across drivers like him often we heard about the competition so we want the winner to be Rocky we’re rooting for you

Deliveroo. Ordered 20:54 because they offered 10min delivery. After ordering estimated arrival was 21:15. Fine. Food arrives cold at 21:35. Driver says he ‘only just picked it up’. These guys play fast and loose with the truth which isn’t worth it for mediocre pizza.

Over the past couple of years quality has declined drastically. Used to br one of the best pizzas you could get (many years ago), though always pricey. now quality is terrible. Pizzas often have few toppings , cheaper ingredients than before. What’s worse is company seems to care nothing about customers or drivers . Unclear new delivery charges if you order direct (much cheaper to go via other delivery companies for some reason), website doesnt allow customers who build up loyalty points to use them. And if you try to get in touch with customer services they no longer respond. Ive tried 4 times, even emailing direct different people. No response. They couldn’t care less. So i now go elsewhere...

We ordered online. Usually we have our pizza from Domino’s, but a visitor persuaded us to try Basilico this time. What a disastrous decision we made in agreeing to that idea. The food was poor. Lukewarm at best with a S oggy base and indifferent toppings, it had little, in my view to commend it. But that was not the only problem. On the order summary, before payment details were given, delivery charges were shown as “free”. However, on the payment page delivery was charged at £2.49. WORSE WAS TO COME. When the food arrived, there was a flyer in one of the boxes saying that a discount of 20% was offered to NHS workers. There had been no mention of this on the website, so we were unable to take advantage of it. When we phoned to challenged what amounted to an overcharge of £13.00, we were told that, because we had ordered online, ther was nothing they could do about it. BEWARE.

I had zoom business meeting and I have ordered family bundle to all my colleagues houses and they all have enjoyed lot. They got delivery on time selected on website. Amazing quality of food. I must say to everyone “try once you will forget all American pizzas” test of the pizza like you are having that in Italy. Basilico Hampstead you are in my favourite list.

Best ever Italian wood fired pizza I ever had & service was brilliant too and they also have good range of vegan, vegetarian &Gluten free pizzas too, very good, must try once

Not a good pizza at all £28 for a margarita and one vegetarian pizza. Really thin. Not authentic at all. Felt a bit mugged as the pizza had no substance...

Ordered a half and half - what appeared was something I could almost have conjured up myself....extremely and continues a downward trend. Decided I'd give it one last go, but that's it - very disappointing given how good it once was.

Waited well over an hour and received a cold and congealed pizza. When I asked for a refund they hung up! Rubbish service. Awful pizza, and over priced!

La confirmación del pedido llegó 2 horas después de haber realizado el pedido y entregado. Llamado por teléfono para comprobar si se trataba de un duplicado y terminó en un ciclo de servicios al cliente sin esperanza. Basilico me refirió a Deliveroo quien me devolvió a Basilico quien me remitió a Deliveroo. Inútil.

I work locally and it would be handy to buy lunch from them. However after i tried their disgusting cesar salad with old leaves and chicken with a smell of fish - NEVER AGAIN. Stay away! It is very pricey for very low quality.

I've had several pizzas from here lately and they have all been excellent. I've visited the shop and You can order online and or from UberEats and get fast speedy delivery. The staff is friendly and they put a high emphasis on top customer service. They have a lot of exotic combinations that make for a true authentic Italian pizza, and even have a Nutella pizza I tried that was good. Also, if you are vegetarian you will love this place!

Me and my flat mate we just move close to this Pizzeria. As Italian I can confirm this is one of the most amazing pizza I've ever eat in London, I tried the bufala basilico and was simply fabulous.Staff is super nice and they use high quality ingredients I think they just got a new customer :)Thanks for the amazing pizza

I recently had really bad service and awful pizza from a Basilico branch in Finchley Central. I was recommended to try this branch in Finchley Road by its owner Raj. I can truly say the pizza from here really were perfect. Although I live 5 miles away from this branch I will be ordering from this particular branch again. Really made me appreciate what good pizza should taste like. I would like to thank Raj for his fantastic customer service in convincing me to try pizza from his branch to see difference. You are in safe hands if you are ordering from this branch!

This is just such a consistently good pizza emporium. I have tasted great pizza in Naples home of the pizzas and gosh they were good. Do you know what ....? Basilicio's pizzas are even better. Fantastically made, fantastic range, fantastic taste, really quickly delivered. Do your tastebuds a favour try some....

Great pizza last night perfect for bonfire night easy no cooking. Victoria on phone is super pleasent articulate and fast delivery. Quality food fresh and deliceous. Recomend this to anyone. The tiramasu is also a must. I love it. ❤

I don't know where to start with this review. The quality of the pizza will use the full extent of my vocabulary to describe.The beautifully constructed base and layout of the pizza were amazing. The layers were spectacular placed to ignite an explosion of taste and bliss in my mouth. The sound of sizzling liquid tomatoes and the view of golden cheese when you open the box initiate a strong string of happy and optimistic feelings. The person i spoke to on the phone, Victoria. I've been ordering from Basilico for years and have always loved it. Fresh ingredients, beautifully crisp base and interesting combinations and flavours. The funghi au truffle is probably one of the best pizzas in London. The service is outstanding. I ordered a pizza through Uber Eats earlier tonight and it never arrived. Uber then refused to give me a refund. I recieved a call directly from Basilico's manager who took it upon himself to resolve the situation, so I decided to pop over. When I arrived not only did they remake my pizza and garlic bread from scratch, they also gave me another pizza to eat while I waited, with a soft drink and a beer for the road! It turned a horrendous situation into a brilliant one. Lovely people and the manager is a terrific guy. I won't be ordering from Uber Eats again but I will be eating at Basilico.

Basilico have been delivering fine, wood fired pizza to me for years. There are multiple options in this area but Basilico is the outstanding one for quality. If you like your pizza with a thin crust in the traditional Napoli style you've found who you should be ordering from. Note that this is not a place to dine in but to get them to deliver!

Took a GF pizza from Finchley Rd Basilica. Served by Raj. Really friendly, reliable & 1 of the best GF pizzas I have had. Lovely fresh ingredients. Definitely worth the drive.

Best... Pizza... Ever! I've been ordering from Basilico for many years and will continue to do so! Delicious, thin crust, freshly made pizza with the best ingredients. Basilico is several levels above anywhere else I've tried. It's a touch more pricey than other pizza delivery places but it's so much better that it's really a no brainer. In addition, service is usually top notch. I live moderately far from my nearest branch and the pizza always arrives hot and on time. Everyone I've dealt with is super polite and they actually understand what I'm saying (never had a mistake with any of my orders). Spoke to Raj most recently and was very impressed.

I've been using Basilico for several years now and I love these pizza's. Always quick and hot. Only once I had a problem and my pizza was replaced quickly without question and a free one added on account!...top customer service.

Raj cooked me up the best gluten free pizza ever. Really tasty top ingredients I had the Romano and it was delicious. Would highly recommend arrived really quickly. The wine is excellent and well priced had a very nice bottle of chianti which complemented the pizza perfectly and was suggested by Raj.

Went in here for a quick bite to eat. I didn't have much time as was on a break whilst working but they took good care of me and pizza came within 10minutes. It was absolutely delicious but more importantly the service was fantastic! Will definitely come back.

Ordered a garlic bread and pizza for delivery. Both arrived cold and so over cooked that both were burnt around the crust and so crisp. Phoned up to complain and got put on hold and passed around between staff then to be finally told that all their pizzas were suppose to be like that. Not sure pizza are suppose to be so crisp and crusty ! Have heard the same negative reviews recently from friends as well.

We live up the road and get takeaway here all the time. It's the best takeaway pizza I've had - proper thin crust, traditional Italian-style with quality ingredients. It is fairly expensive but somehow it always feels worth it... I just wish they were open a little later to satisfy the post-night out cravings!

This is by far the finest pizza in town - the quality of the ingredients is exceptional, the freshest, loveliest, bubbly, crispy dough with incredible toppings. I've been around the block with pizza but this is a cut above the rest. Excellent customer service - particularly Raj at the Finchley Road branch who will go out of his way to send you whatever you wish for. Love this pizza,it's the closest thing to Naples, it's quite something and worth the price - you get what you pay for.

The pizza was faultless, cooked to perfection and had great toppings with a range to choose from.My family throughly enjoyed the taste of the pizza.The customer service was brilliant with kind and helpful workers.I will definitely be returning to the hampstead store again in the future with my family and hope to see the branch extend more and open up more local stores.The ice cream is also delicious.

One just don't understand...They state that they use fresh topings, I was supprised to see canned mushrooms on our pizzas.

Great Pizza, Diavolo. so good we got another - a Capriosca. Staff were giggly girls, but it is a minimum wage role. Always good pizzas here, so can and have never complained.

Not a bad pizza place. The bases are a little salty but the choices of toppings and range of fresh juices always makes up for that.

This is not pizza, infact our pizza was soggy and uncooked in the middle! DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE! We had eaten Basillico's pizza before and at that time just thought it was a one off and so thought we'd try again, but even more disappointed this time.

Years ago Basilico used to be OK for pizza, quite nice actually, but they went down hill a long time ago and we don't use them any more after rubbish food and bad service.Avoid.

We bought 2 pizzas from Battersea branch one gluten free and the other one with mushrooms. The taste was terrible disgusting. We put in the rubbish. I was all night sick and I still sick, I just eat a small piece...Never and never! Disgusting and expensive.

Ordered your pizza online, came with meat, don't eat meat, Sophia at hampstead refused to help, said it was our mistake for not specifying in the comments section that we don't want meat, and that there was no mistake, as you can see your ordering form is flawed and automatically chooses a pizza called "alba" which is not defined as having meat, nor is the drop down menu easy to identify as it is above a list of all possible toppings, thus why would a topping be additionally chosen from a tiny drop down , sort yourselves out, train your staff and reply to customer complaints

Ordered 2 large pizzas costing almost £40, thinking that they were going to be amazing. What a waste of money. Absolute rubbish. The two pizzas tasted exactly the same as there was just about no toppings and barely any cheese too! They were both cold and could only taste tomato puree. The pizza base was so thin that it would fall apart in your hands. It looked like they use the same amount of dough for a large pizza than they do for the normal size... Refused to give me a refund and were rude to me on the phone. We had to order food elsewhere as none of us wanted to actually eat any of it. I will be telling every single person I know how bad the food is!

Ordered ona reccomadation from a friend and at about £8 dearer than I would normally pay I thought I'd give it a try.I ordered mushrooms on my vegetarian pizza and after an hour it arrived with squidgy tinned mushrooms, luke warm and unsliced so had to cut it myself. Will not be ordering from them again.

Probably the best delivery pizza in area. Unfortunately flavour a bit too salty with overpowering tomato base. Could be more generous with the topping. The pizza came not cut, a little disappointing for quite an expensive take away.

Love the Margaritta here. The bread and tomato sauce are perfect. They have an excellent selection of freshly squeezed fruit juices too. Fast delivery service but a few times they have overloaded my pizza with cheese, ruinning it; so I always ask them to put half the amount of cheese they normally use.

Ordered a takeaway. Took an hour to arrive. Totally cold. Emailed twice to complain - no response at all.
