I went in here for a light evening meal whilst staying locally. I enjoyed my pizza and everything was adequate.

Waren zweimal im London Urlaub dort Essen.Super Kennzeichnung der Allergene und auch glutenfrei hat man eine super Auswahl. Die glutenfreie Pizza wird extra auf einem Schieferbrett serviert damit es erkennbar ist. Pizza und Pasta super lecker. Die Küche ist auch flexibel sollte bei einer Speise eine Zutat nicht mögen oder vertragen.Preise sind auch für London vollkommen in Ordnung.Würde jederzeit wieder hingehen und es jeden empfehlen.

I thoroughly enjoyed my Bruschetta and my pizza. Nice surroundings. Great waiting staff all in all a very good experience. Tables placed well apart andI enjoyed my time. I imagine it can get very busy so make sure you get your order in quick. I had my usual Four Seasons.

This was our first time dining at the Pizza Express chain and we were pleasantly surprised, as the Express in the name suggested a fast food joint. Nice seating, very good food, very attentive service.

Wasn't super busy, only 2 other tables, but service was a bit slow. Pizza was lacking flavour. Wouldn't be my first choice.

I’m and Italian New Yorker and being handed a pizza cutter to cut my own pizza was odd. They also expect you to eat it with a fork and knife. No. Their version of a margehrita pizza was sub par. There was basically no cheese..it was bread with crushed tomatoes on it, and some basil leaves. A margherita has nice slices os mozzarella you can taste. The crust was also soggy from the sauce. Wait staff kind and attentive.

Arrived at little after 8:30 mid week. Shown to the table promptly, but then had a wait for the menu, received apologies for the delay in taking the order, which still took another 10 minutes. Looked to be plenty of staff, but only one dashing around.

My partner and I went in after an incredibly stressful appointment at the nearby Neurological hospital for a bite to eat and ended up being very disappointed. My partner has a strong disliking of chunks of onion so he ordered a pizza but without onion and was told that it wasn't possible as all the toppings were already mixed together! I had always been led to believe that the pizzas were made fresh and the toppings added on, surely then they are not all mixed up previously or are the pizzas actually pre-made and frozen which is what I was led to believe when my pizza arrived. It had that very distinct taste of a frozen pizza that had been heated through. Also my pizza was supposed to have come with tabasco sauce and the choice of sweet chillis or jalapeno chillis. I was given no choice, it simply arrived with sweet chillis and there was certainly no spiciness to it at all. My partner had to order something other than pizza as they all came with onion and apparantly nothing could be done about this so along with his new order he ordered a side of chips. His side of chips consisted of 8 chips in a small bucket! Really very disappointed Pizza Express. Not up to your usual standards!

We have eaten here before. Last time was superb - the pizza's were lovely. This time it was not so great, and we didnt enjoy it as much. Also we ordered 2 x Irish coffee at the end of our meal, and neither of us could taste the spirit, and the preparation was poor. The cream had mixed in with the coffee, so looked like a latte. A bit pricey for a pizza, but then it is London.We would eat here again as the staff are so nice.

Bien para una pizza rápida ultra finita, rica. No tienen cerveza tirada, solo en botella. Buenos vinos. La atención especialmente amable.

We stay round the corner for long weekends in London. On the last evening I buzz round to Pizza Express for a take-out which we eat out of the box, slouched in front of the telly box. Perfect. It is Pizza Express so the food is OK. Staffs herre are friendly and service is fast.

Prices reasonable, menu reasonable, good service, good food, light and airy. Music very muted (I prefer none).

Always liked the Pizza Express, leisure time and hungry that is the place to have something decent. But, this time waiter brought one of the pizza partially burnt. I was trying to send it back but my niece said she can manage it and wi-ould not eat the whole pizza anyway.

We came here for pre theatre meal,as with any Pizza Express the service was excellent and the food very nice.When we arrived for early tea it was quieter than i would have expected for a Saturday afternoon/ early evening but this soon changed.

The place was so cold that we had to keep our jacket on. My colleague ordered a pizza and some ingredient were missing. She pointed it out to staff. The pizza was taken back as they needed to add mozzarella but it was returned with Parmesan instead. She pointed out the error but the waiter insisted that's was the way the pizza is done. We had to grab the menu to demonstrate that it should have mozzarella on top and not Parmesan . Waiter wasn't even aware about discount that should have been applied to our group , we had to show her on the website.

I love Pizza Express for the gluten free pizza bases - divine!Excellent choices, value for money with a two course for £9.95 voucher we had. Kids' meals aren't the cheapest but still fine. Service was ok, if a little slow (considering there were very few people in at 5pm) and the kids' ice cream never arrived!But generally a worthwhile bite to eat.

Two seniors, having enjoyed an excellent show in the West end, and feeling peckish dropped off at this Pizza Express. You know what to expect from this brand, and this establishment is no different. Our welcome was warm enough, the restaurant clean and tidy, but somehow there was little more to excite a soul.My wife's pasta dish was fine, an adequate portion, hot and I was advised quite tasty. My pizza was large, but certainly not over-covered, and I would say that the topping really was quite mean, although tasty.So, nothing to write home about, and wouldn't it be lovely, if for once the meal when it arrived, looked like the pictures on show !!

We were staying at an adjacent hotel and ordered the pizza's online. The process was straight forward and when I arrived I was greeted by the staff and was advised that the pizzas would be ready shortly. The walk to the hotel was only a couple of minutes, and the pizzas looked great, but the crust was a bit on the dry side. Not enough for it to be a problem, but it would have been nice if it was just a bit more moist.Having said that the restaurant did look very welcoming and I would have had no hesitation in eating in.

I rarely have anything negative to say about pizza express and to be fair this is a minor point in that there was no Caesar salad on the menu. I'm only annoyed as it's what I fancied and I figured this was a staple of pizza express. Not many places to eat in Bloomsbury on a Sunday night, and we decided on Pizza Express as we wanted something light. Have not been to a Pizza Express for years (we make lovely pizza at home). We discovered the Romana on the menu - thin crust crispy pizza so ordered this as this is what we really like from a pizza. What arrived was thin but soggy so the waiter (who was excellent) suggested he re-order for us to get a crispy base. He re-ordered and we had slightly over cooked pizza as a result with a very minimum topping. Not very good. The waiter was really helpful - if he had been the chef he certainly would have tried harder than the pizza chef I think.

First time I've been to a Pizza Express for quite some time. Prices seem slightly higher than competitors to me which is fine if the quality is up to scratch. I found this to be distinctly average though.Went for a Pizza rather than something else, assuming that would be their speciality. Had a Pepperoni as I usually do. It was the least spicy pepperoni I've ever had. Only small 'button' size pieces rather than 10p size ones too.Base was a bit thicker than I expected (could have paid extra for thinner) and not very crispy.Overall disappointing.I did have a dessert which was absolutely excellent. Not the main reason I go to a Pizza restaurant though.Waitress serving us was very pleasant an efficient.

Staying at the Bedford Hotel Southampton Row London poses a pleasing challenge. Where to eat? So many attractive restaurants within 100 meters of the hotel. How to choose? Indian.. been there before good.. but not cheap, if you go for the 'full monty'. Subway... mmmmm maybe a bit too basic... I need some kind of reward today! Ok skip the French restaurant and 'Marco's' (likely way too expensive didn't even bother checking!) So there's a plethora of Italian restaurants... how to choose?? I imagine they are all great. They all look good. Some were offering home made pizza for under £10 and a half bottle of red for about the same. So why did I plump for Pizza Express? Well I recently experienced one in the Far East and it was good, albeit a little expensive. This one was good too.. I got a table near the back... place was quite busy and the thin crispy 'Romana' American Hot pizza was exactly what I had in mind. The Chianti was also good although 'by-the-glass' works out quite steep. A half-bottle option would be good. Staff were busy but nice. Was it a good choice? Yeah I think so... but next time I might just have a go at those more authentic ones next door. I should be more brave!

We dropped with minimal expectations, looking only for a quick pizza in a chain restaurant. We were pleasantly surprised with an excellent pizza, which came precisely as we ordered. The service was equally excellent; one of the waiters helped us cut the pizza when we found it difficult. The atmosphere is like most fast food establishments, but that is certainly to be expected. We walked out after ten minutes of being ignored by the staff in the near empty restaurant. We presume it was because we had a two for one main meals voucher. The woman on duty spent her time chatting up the guy on the till and the young male waiter deliberately avoided making eye contact with us. Went home, put bread in the toaster, topped with cheese and sundried tomatoes and saved twenty quid.

Good pizza's, we were asked what style we liked: thin or thick. I prefer the thin ones (Romana) and within 10 minutes the pizza's arrived. It was like we expected, both the size and topping (not niggardly) is OK. Tasteful but not very crispy. Depending on what you are used to it's probably average for Italians and good for others :). Price is OK.

At my arrival in London, always my first dinner is here. The owner is very friendly and helpful. He knows about good wine and they have a good selection from different parts. Pizza is very good on his taste and texture. The service is absolutely good.

I love Pizza Express but this was the worst Pizza's that both my husband and I have ever had in a Pizza Express.The waiter did reduce our bill as we were not satisfied and it wasn't his fault.Not sure what went wrong but there was hardly any topping and the base seemed very white and almost uncooked.

Went here alone while visiting London for business. The pizza is good. But the best part about this visit was the extremely attentive and service minded staff. They are quick and friendly. You will not wait long without food on your plate or something to drink in your glass. Will recomand for a quick but still good meal. Good atmosphere.

Friendly and prompt service. Enjoyed our pizza. However, the truth is that the only places to get good pizza are the USA and Italy. Our pizza was supper thin and not crispy. It came so quickly that some cheese not even melted. Gelato was very good. Can't fully judge this place until you have other menu items. Seems quite popular with locals though.

The restaurant was very empty for a Saturday night We had a portion of dough balls for starter and a pizza each...Service was quick and we were not disturbed by staff Both pizzas were delicious, just wish the knives and pizza slicer were a bit sharper.

Once inside this pizza express you could be in any pizza express in the country. However what it lacks in originality it makes up for in quality. Do not come to this or any pizza express expecting a unique or personal experience, but do come it you want quality food. Every course was cooked and prepared perfectly. Ive never had a bad meal at any branch of this chain.

Les pizzas sont plutôt bonnes, avec un choix intéressant de pizzas végétariennes. Mais assez décevant dans l'ensemble. On a eu l'impression de manger de bonnes pizzas achetées en supermarché mais pour 5£ de plus chacun. On a fini nos pizzas avec plaisir parce qu'elles n'étaient pas mauvaises mais avec tout de même une petite déception d'avoir payé presque 20£ pour ça. A part ça, accueil sympathique.

Staying close to this branch in Soutampton Row, London and wanted a simple meal early evening on a Sunday night. I thought "its just a pizza place" it will do for a quick meal. Premises looked clean and bright and on entry we were greeted by a most pleasant server who obviously know his job. Top marks to him. Had a very acceptable bottle of wine, a pizza and a pasta, followed by desserts and coffee. A really good meal in a pleasant environment served by friendly staff. Plus a discount on the meal for showing a London map. Not just a pizza place, how wrong can you be.

We were a bit hesitant at first to go to this place as it didn't look very appealling from the outside, and the fact that it was one of the many stores of a pizza chain. How wrong were we! The thin crust pizza was excellent - perhaps, one of the best pizza I've ever had. The fillings were generous and fresh, and the pizza was, most importantly, delicious. The price is right (reasonable) and service was quick. As we stayed only a few addresses away at the Mercure Bloomsbury, we spend the next two nights here for more pizzas. Highly recommended.

Wanted to try their pizzas. The flavors were good, but I wish they would have gotten the thin crust a little crisper. I believe my pizza crust was a little undercooked. Service was ok.

I was doubtful about this place because it's a chain, but the pizza I had was as good as ones I've had in Italy. Not cheap -- but then nothing in London is -- but I would go back for another one of those pizzas. Make sure you get one with the traditional thin crust.

Good pizza..alot of locations in london. Locally popular, reasonable prices. Good for late night munchies.

I was here with colleagues from work and guests from overseas, for a quick dinner following a business meeting nearby. We made a reservation for 6 people and when arriving in the early evening, we were shown to the table. This pizza express branch is conveniently located on Southampton Row and the inside is similar to other branches, with a cheerful brightly lit dining room, nicely decorated bar and overall a pleasant, friendly ambience. We ordered pizza, salad, and drinks. The wine (a bottle of Gavi for £22) was of very good quality and worth the expenses. I had a Pizza Napoli, which was crisp and of very good quality. We spent there one and have hours, and we had a nice ending of our business day. The total bill including all drinks was less than £110 for 6 people.

This pizza chain is so bad. I had been there before and didn't want to go back, but was short on time and it was close to the hotel. I was talked into spending a couple more pounds on a "thinner Pizza". Someone really needs to introduce them to cheese. Stay away and they are all over London.

Called in for a take to our room snack, place was spotlessly clean and Puzza was ready to take in less than 10mins.

Buen restaurante italiano que ofrece una amplia selección de pizzas, pasta y postres.El sitio es bonito, con agradable iluminación, buen ambiente y buena comida.La pizza Carbonara y la Margarita Bufala están realmente buenas, el tamaño es perfecto para llenarse y dejar la pizza terminada. Como su nombre indica, la cocina es rápida y la comida está lista en poco tiempo.Nos gustó mucho el sitio. Lo recomiendo.

We went to pizza express and ordered pizza margarita and pasta .. The food wAs tasty and the service was good. One thing to keep in mind is that the place gives immense student discount if you have NUS card. So dont forget to carry it
