Perfect somali food. At least meat

Asians would like it, more like arabic cuisine! I love it, cheap and fulfilling

Somali cuisine is always exceptional, but the service at this restaurant falls short. The staff appear to lack proper training, and many struggle with English, which is essential in an English-speaking country. Additionally, the noise and chaos at the counter further detract from the dining experience.

I’ve had lunch and dinner at Barwaqoo Restaurant several times now, both dining in and as take-away, and it has always been a great experience! The dish I enjoy the most is the Hanid – the lamb is absolutely wonderful, with tender and flavorful meat that’s cooked to perfection. I’d definitely recommend this place to anyone who loves rice dishes or biryani, as their option is excellent. The setup is mostly self-service, which makes things quick and convenient. A fantastic spot for delicious, authentic food – I’ll definitely keep coming back!

Extremely good food and super cheap . To me this owner is probably doing Charity i have eaten here several times , lamp , beaf , chicken, Salmon and honestly every time i eat here i barely finish the food as portions are really large. Love ❤️ this place.

Stopped by for dinner and my first time trying out Somali food. We had fried chickens and pilaf rice. The portion is enough for two. The meat was tender and the skin was 2 die 4!!!

I tried ordering two meals from Uber Eats yesterday and the order cancelled because items had sold out. I ordered two meals today and my entire meal didn’t come. Steak had sold out and no pasta or drink. I was grateful for the meat substitute, but it wasn’t enough and I still had no pasta to eat it with. I tried calling the restaurant a few times but no answer. Will not order again, which is a shame because there are no other Somali restaurants on delivering sites.

The restaurant was filthy, with dirty tables and floors. To make matters worse, a rat was seen scurrying across the dining area. Absolutely disgusting and unacceptable. Avoid at all costs.

The food literally came within a minute. We weren’t somali, but the staff treated us like we were somali…I guess i’m somali now? We were met with a big smile by one of the managers I’m assuming and he was very hospitable. All in all, a good spot for somali food.

I was searching for a restaurant after I got lost :D and I found this restaurant by luck .. I tried and got shocked how nice was the food and simple friendly staff :D I want to go again and again :)

Homely food. This is the first somalian cuisine I have tried. It is fantastic.The aroma of the rice is incredible and tasty. Their lamb curry is top notch. The food is super delicious and their portions are quite good. Further they top up rice for free. This place is always crowded with people so it’s little clumsy and takeaway is a good option I would suggest. There is a separate place for families to dine in as well. Reasonable prices and good service as well.

Huge portions for everything, if want to top up rice, they will do it for free(which no one ask as portion is already huge) simply cooked meat which is very tender

The food is amazing! The rice is so fragrant and nicely seasoned. The portion is so big, we could have shared one meal between the two of us. Definitely a hidden gem. 😊

Nice food but lacks customer service.

Beef sukar chicken sukar is lovely with steamed vegetables. And also the soup is lovely. Oh and the salmon fish was so nice to.

Very generous, one of the best value for money in Bristol. If you havnt tried Somali, probably best in Bristol Somali food, despite nationality these people will look after you. It also has a family area with mobile dividers for privacy.

We went here Saturday last week for lunch. We really enjoyed laid back ambience, great amount of food...I never taste such a succulent roast lamb before, literally the meat was melting in my mouth yummm. We were so full when we finished, no one needed supper anymore in the evening 😁😁
