Used to order from here all the time,but it was going downhill.thought I'd give it 1 last chance,but food was still awful doner meat was like cardboard,n very dry.chicken just had terrible taste not edible.and garlic mayo n chilli sauce went straight in bin.chilli was like water n garlic sauce had such a peculiar taste.everything basically ended up in the bin apart from the chips.waste of money

¿Por dónde empiezo? Hice un pedido aquí 6 veces, parece que no aprendí la lección, faltaron pedidos en el pasado o se entregaron en el lugar equivocado, pero esta es la gota que colmó el vaso. Vi a esta pequeña criatura corriendo a lo largo de mi chip. Me quedé estupefacto, creo que el calor mató al tipo, pero llamé al restaurante en vano, excepto por soborno. No volveré.

Visité el lugar esta noche y el servicio estuvo bien, pero muy decepcionado con la persona que servía los alimentos, estaba muy sucio, estaba enfermo y estaba usando su mano para limpiarse la boca y servir los alimentos a los clientes. No volveré otra vez! ! ! ! ! ! !

Tuve una comida de pescado y patatas fritas y fue asqueroso. He tenido algunas papas fritas realmente malas, pero estas fueron las peores, muy masticables y no sabían a papas fritas definitivamente fritas y luego fritas nuevamente. El pescado tenía una masa cruda cuando lo levantaste y el pescado no estaba mejor. La comida fue directamente a la basura. Nunca más.

I really enjoyed this meal. We went as a family and it was honestly so great. My children loved their nuggets and sausages and me and my husband absolutely loved the cod and the mixed doner. It was lovely to receive a heap of salad with the doner and sauces of our choice. All in all the service and the food was lovely :)

Chicken burger was a chicken steak burger which cost 3 pounds... Beef burger was small Chicken donner was great Chips missing from my order Didnt feel cared for

Absolutely poor, chips was completely undercooked. Food was to oily everything was drenched in oil. Was so not worth the money. Nothing was edible, i have eaten from them before and it was good however this is the second time I’ve experienced the same poor quality.

Item was delivered at the time they said. Amazing but thats it. i put in noted. please add salt and vinegar to my order and then called to check. he said got the notes will add it in. Item arrived. no salt or vinegar despite double checking. Ordered large cod and large chips. Far from large cod. Was medium at best and looked it it was fried for days. batter was so hard it could put an eye out. Chips were ok. The wings that came had chilli powder spinkled on top and if i had more than 1 bite i wouldave chipped a tooth. Never again.

Great food, it even came earlier than they originally stated which was great. 100% I will order again, its my second time using this restaurant. 👌

A bit surprised no vinegar or salt was added to the chips.also no sauces where given. These options did not come up when I selected the cod or chips under the popular section. Food came very hot n fish was tasty but was missing the vinegar flavour.

The food arrived at 20:20 which was 20mins late. If a time is give. Then the delivery drivers need to keep to it or have the decency to call, As this is so disrespectful...

One box of donner was hot and the meat was soft. But the other box was warm and the meat was hard. Reheated it and it was ok. Overall, kids enjoyed the food

We ordered veg burgers, chips, curry sauce and mushy peas. The food had a very fishy smell so they must cook in the same oil. The burger was very oily and mushy, the mushy peas were just dry stodge and the chips were dry and hard. They did t seem fresh. The only thing we liked was the curry sauce. Most of everything else went in the bin 😒

The food was very hot, the fish was too oily and stuck to the paper, should have been put in a container.

However, they only delivered at the correct time because i had to phone them. They were going to deliver over 30 minutes early when i was not ready for the food. So worth them always taking the order time into consideration.

Came on time as always. Chicken doner was the best I’ve ever had! Good portions. Only downside would be that I ordered onion rings and when they came they were soggy, nothing too major. Defo recommend

Returning customer..... I usually order on a Saturday in person at this place. However, my 11 yr old daughter could not wait until then. She loves the sausages and the staff are fantastic whenever we turn up. Proper size portion of kebabs and always friendly and polite. Barry’s is the best traditional fish and chip shop in E3 . Big up and “ nice 1 bruvva”

Had to wait ages for food and when kept trying to call restaurants (for over 30 mins) didnt get no answer. Then when food came was so greasy that couldn't eat it

Due to the wait, all food was cold and mainly thrown away upon delivery. No thermal bag, etc. to keep food warm. Plus, this must be the only fish & CHIP shop in London, that doesn't serve chips with the fish! Certainly won't order from here again. Complete waste of money Ridiculous!

Literally the worst food I’ve ever received from any food establishment ever. DO NOT GO HERE. Chips were hard and old and tasted like oil. Chicken shish smelled and was hard and dry- only ate 1 piece. They had no chicken donner (told after ordering) and changed to a burger with NO cheese, it came with cheese, my boyfriend is lactose intolerant. Rung and complained and they replaced burger but the replacement smelt off so didn’t eat. Salad was covered in oil and even the pitta bread was stale. Don’t waste your money here. When I ring to get a refund they don’t answer the phone, tried ringing 5 times- they must have memorised my number. Absolutely disgraceful. Wasted money on inedible food.

Do not order from here. Food was 40 minutes late. Arrived cold, soggy and inedible. Fish was so soggy it was completely stuck to newspaper, it was also full of bones. Restaurant staff extremely unhelpful; didn’t answer the phone (10 attempts) and when they finally did advised order would be with us in ‘2 minutes’ without checking delivery address or order number.

We paid for 2 curry sauces and one came completely empty because it had leaked into out takeaway bag, which was fairly disappointing so to say.

Had lots of problems with this place in the past and was really apprehensive about trying them again, but they've gone from a 1 star to 5 star scores on the door so that's a good start (hopefully) Was quite impressed with the food, chips could've been cooked a bit longer but nothing to really scream about

Everything ordered arrived, delivery was prompt, chicken kebab tasted overwhelmingly salty. Chips were "proper" chip shop chips and were fresh and were cooked well but had the oddest bitter taste taste even after salt and vinegar were added I think the oil needs to be changed. Onion rings needed to be cooked more but we're fine after we put them in the oven to crisp up. Food was hot on arrival with drink cold and in a separate bag. Lots of plus points but taste on food let down an otherwise pleasant experience. Will walk to local chip shop in future because decent chips should be the key selling point in a fish and chip shop and truthfully they are not nice

The food arrived hot, but a good 15 mins late. And 2x sausages were missing.

Either this place has changed management or suppliers because the food quality has taken a serious nose dive. The portion sizes are still larger than advertised but when you're getting pale tasteless kebab meat or chewy, gristly chicken it's not worth it. Won't be ordering from these guys again, and they were a favourite on this house for a while.

Savoloy was crunchy the sausage and batter was soggy and didn’t have enough batter on it the pie was dry not enough chicken or sauce the chips was bland

My food was great but I was disappointed at the delivery time given, it was much later than what the average delivery was on just eat at the time of my order

The food was very filling and quiet enjoyable, initially I thought it was going to be a waste of money but I’m am still full hours later and a very clean and tasty meal did just that

Food was wrapped JUST in paper so the sogginess from the food made the paper STICK to the food, had to spend 5 minutes just to clean the bits of wet paper from the food.

I ordered for a specific time because my girlfriend wasn’t due home until then and wanted us to enjoy a nice hot fish and chips dinner together in stead I get a call from the driver 15 minutes after I ordered saying he was here, I explained to him and he said “yes there’s a time on the receipt but once it’s ready they send it out”, I ended up with cold ruined fish and chips that wasn’t enjoyable and a total waste of money.

Ordered Lamb Donner, chips, chicken and spicy spuds. The lamb donner was average. The chips were hard, the spice spuds were not nice and the chicken was dry.

No lemons given or salt/pepper or anything really, just bland fish and chips.

usually really like Barry’s but this was definitely an off day, the food was cold and the chips were hard and awful and for £10 the kebab was a tiny serving with a rock hard pitta bread. will go back as I do believe it was an off day but if it happens again I won’t be using again.

Food was very oily. Food was poorly wrapped. Burgers were nice but very messy and fell apart completely. Cod had no taste and almost tasted like a frozen piece of fish! Chips tasted old! Very disappointed considering we've been eating Barry's food for over 10 years!

I left my house to go to the shop it took me 10 minutes I saw a bike outside didn't know if it was the delivery or not when I came back he just got to my door there was someone ready to pay it took him 10 minutes to get off his bike.. The batter wasn't even cooked the fish was tasteless there were chips that were stale and tough this chip shop is dead. 😑

Where do I start. Chicken burger filth threw it away. Asked for a breast got a thigh, food was cold. Fish just about passable. Chips looked like they had been sitting there forever. Never again !!!!!!!!!

Cod and chips only wrapped in paper, all soggy, chips tasted of wrapping paper, cod butter tasted of nothing but wet flour. Worst fish & chips.

Only two issue is i asked for 2pc chicken and got 1 skinless and a 1/2pc chicken also skinless and the second issue asked for two large chips got two small

The cod was stuck to the paper and greasy and oily and no butter on the cod! and saveloy was wrinkly/rotten. They both went into the bin photos were taken and sent to Just Eat! the chips was cold and rubbish! 😡🤬 health and hygiene needs to visit all takeaway‘s and restaurants on a weekly basis! we are human beings not animals! even animals get better food than this!

3rd time ordered n despite CLEARLY asking each time for salt and vinegar on chips, they never do!!! it is standard - please sack the guy who looks at orders as clearly cannot read or ignores the request. No salad or sauce in doner wrap so it was sooooo dry. Pls Get Next Order Correct!!

Fish was quite metallic inb flavour, pickled egg was weak, chips were quite dark and grey looking, mayonnaise was watered down.... only good this as advertised was the foreign bottle of coke

strangest experience - i have never recieved a deconstructed kebab before. the bread, meat and salad were separate and i had to make it up myself. the meat wasn’t like shish cubes of lamb, but slices almost like doner meat, which wasn’t what i ordered and paid for. the chips were a bit lack lustre. suffice to say i won’t be ordering again. just below average.

Pleasantly surprised with the super fast delivery time, driver very polite. I’ve walked past this place loads of times but always went to another takeaway, happy to say this was much better and will be using regularly now. Food was very hot and very plentiful. Chips were MASSIVE!!! Lovely!!!!

Ordered a mixed Donner kebab which turned out to be 70% lamb and 30% chicken. Disappointed after paying £10. The chicken meat didn't appear spiced, more salty. However, was ok. Chilli sauce tasted like ketchup?! Odd. Ordered Southern fried chicken pieces which were both seriously bland. I couldn't eat them. This was just just wrong, unless I'm just used to tasty chicken? Curry sauce was ok and the chips were good, but portion sizes were smaller than expected for medium. Overall, expected better based on previous reviews.

Items from the order were missing. When I called to inform them the person over the phone was so rude in the way they responded and eventually hung up. Disgusting behaviour. Food wasn’t any better then the service they provided either. Standards have massively dropped. Customer service training clearly required.

Unfortunately the food did not have any flavour. Why have the category called Fish & Chips but when you order Fish you don't get chips with it. Need to be specified under that menu. Was not worth the amount we paid.

Quantity seems to be dropping a little bit, but portions are still generous. Food is always hot on arrival and we’ll cooked. Just the one niggle and that is I wish that the chips were a little bit crispy.
