Everytime I visit Lyme, whether on business or pleasure, I make sure I have the Baroque experience!! A small restaurant down a cool alleyway with a great vibe and seriously yummy food. Thanks again Baroque team.

My husband and I went for our wedding anniversary and we thoroughly enjoyed our time there. It’s a small cozy restaurant, the service was great and the people are lovely. We had a variation of tapas (charred cauliflower was our favourite) and the lamb and ash potatoes was the star of the show, those potatoes were so flavourful and the lamb so tender. Couldn’t recommend it enough!

Fabulous evening to round off my 60th Birthday celebrations. Could not fault the food, which was delicious and plentiful. Jayne was the most welcoming and accommodating host for our group and we had a thoroughly wonderful evening. Very small and intimate restaurant but great fun…..book it! Delicious birthday cake too!

Such a find! We visit Lyme every new year as a group of 4 families and this was our first visit to Baroque. We chose Baroque as it was number 1 on trip advisor and it definitely lived up to being number one. We were celebrating a friend’s big birthday and we had booked a table for 10 plus a birthday cake. Jayne was most welcoming and attentive to our needs during the evening. It is a small, intimate restaurant (reminded us a little of Mama Mia), the food was delicious, not overly spicy but so full of flavour and taste. Not the cheapest but well worth the money and the experience, we will definitely be back next year.

We completely loved everything. Such a bijou place with huge character and flavours, booking recommended so you don’t miss out! The owners are completely passionate about what they do, Jane hosting the party and Mark cooking up a storm. The food was incredible. Started with the best scallops we’ve had in years! Followed by the lamb falling off the bone, ash potatoes (a complete revelation!) Asian slaw & prawns… Thankyou for an amazing first night in Lyme Regis, we really did fall on our feet! We will be back sometime to work down the menu.

Superb meal here with 2 meat eaters and a pescatarian. The hand dived scallops were sublime. My wife wouldn’t normally eat the roe but the flavours were incredible and she ate it all. We had the chicken, lamb and prawns and they were all so well cooked. Moist, tender and very moreish. Ash potatoes - who knew?? The portions are very generous and make the food excellent value for money. Lovely, attentive and friendly service. Highly recommended.

We had our first visit to this little restaurant on Saturday and it won’t be our last. Lovely atmosphere and staff and fantastic food - we had a selection of tapas this time - all delicious but especially the scallops - and will be returning to try the main courses (and the scallops again).

Visited on a wet Wednesday evening in December, the staff couldn’t have been more helpful or accommodating if they’d tried. The food was delicious and served promptly, though we didn’t feel that we were rushed at all. Ordered the flatbread, followed by Lamb, Chicken and sides of chickpeas, potatoes, Asian slaw and Chimmichuri, every dish was excellent but way too much for two people, definitely portions for the hungry. Would thoroughly recommend!

Incredible food - delicious flavours and very generous portions. Quite a small restaurant so booking ahead is necessary, but very cosy vibes. The food is cooked over an open wood fire which adds a delicious flavour, but did leave a smoke smell in all our clothes afterwards. The service could have been slightly better when we visited, but we sensed they were short staffed so couldn’t blame them for that. Would recommend requesting a table away from the kitchen door if visiting, as in the winter the draft from the open door can make it quite cold.

Awesome. Flatbreads, homemade hummus and prawns to start, lamb schwarma and spatchcock chicken off the woodfire grill, all delicious. Very fair pricing. It’s a tiny place, and space is tight, but we all thought this was a really great spot for dinner. £112 plus tip for three, nice Gavi at £35.

Went for dinner this evening - first time. We are visiting the area and based our choice of restaurant on the excellent reviews. We weren’t disappointed. Great food, great atmosphere and lovely service. Our only regret is that we don’t live in the area because we’d definitely be back!

This Middle Eastern restaurant was indeed a pearl. A little gem situated up a side street. My daughter and I were instantly made to feel welcome, the smell from the food cooking in the small kitchen was amazing. I had the lamb which was succulent with subtle spicing. The portion was generous and the vegetable dish we had was also delicious. Competitively priced and such good value for money, including an excellent Portuguese wine.We both agreed it was one of the best meals we had eaten in a very long time. My only regret is that we will not be in Lyme for long enough to eat there again. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Great little quirky restaurant in Lyme. Mismatched china and scrubbed wooden tables belie food cooked to a high standard. Complex seasoning and generous portions. 2 starters and 3 mains turned out to be plenty for 4 hungry grown ups. Stars of the show were the lamb and the prawns.

Wow. Best Sunday lunch I’ve had in ages. And dog friendly too. I would absolutely recommend. I have the vegetarian option and it was the tastiest thing I’ve had in ages. My husband had the pork belly.
