A great golf course. Love playing it and highly recommend it. It is well manicured and a challenge too. The clubhouse is well run and there is a good menu available. You get a friendly welcome and it is well worth a visit.

A real find 5* We are walking the Coastal path, and called in for lunch on the off chance. Result. It is the only place we have returned to for lunch two days running. Basically to start the next leg of the walk. It seems one bloke (Andy ?) does everything. Welcome, waiter, bar staff and chef. Suffice to say we were made really welcome, including casual chatting with 3 ‘Summer Wine’ type gents. So friendly. Nearly enough to persuade me to take up golf and join. To be fair, the menu is not over wide, I seem to recall typically burgher and chips etc.. We were walking past on the coastal path and wanted food to keep going. Undoubtedly golfers there are also looking for midday food. What I am saying is what we had, was somewhat simple, but we both really enjoyed both times. We have eaten in and around Beaumaris dozens of times. If you balance value with quality this should be high on a short list.

We had arrived at our hotel earlier than expected and hoped that we would be able to get a snack or sandwich, but were politely told that food wasn’t served during the day. However we were directed to Blueberries in the town. We had to pay £1 to park the car as this was also where a market was held each Saturday. The menu was really quite extensive including a selection of salads, paninies, salads, ice creams, and Welsh cakes. There was also a selection of teas and coffees.

Going on the strength of other reviews, we booked a table in the dog friendly area of The Crown. Having had and a 2 hour walk beforehand, a well deserved refuelling stop. Quite chilly in that area of the pub. Cheap lunch menu. Specials board more expensive. We had Scampi & fries, small battered cod & chips. Both came with peas. I had much higher expectations and was disappointed in the portion size(5 scampi pieces). Would consider giving it another try sometime, go in the evening and dine in the restaurant area. Pay the more expensive dinner prices, in the hope that the food would not be cooked from frozen and the portion sizes would be satisfying.
