Quick 9 holes , nice small course.

Mixed view on restaurant at the club (IL Corso), visited few times but most recent one quite disappointing, Full English rather greasy and chef not willing to swap items for cheaper ones such as toast without extra charge, 'couldn't make a soya latte' even though previously have had so. Pancake stack was nice so giving medium rating. Doubt we will visit again now.

Great place to watch sport, have something to eat and play a round of golf too. Will be coming back. Hats of to the staff.

First time when I visited this golf club I was welcomed very nice and warm with one gorgeous beautiful girl,second time wasn't that great,two Indians girls were a bit rude and not so friendly,I think need to teach them how must to be welcomed guest or costumer. Its really nice club with good bar and all nice facilities, the golf itself is also not bad, in the past 9 holes could take from an hour to two depends on your experience,there are easier and more difficult ones,overall good experience and really recommend it.

Course was ok, just a few greens letting it down in places. Was good to revisit after a few years of playing other courses.

Decent driving range and good price, especially for beginners

Very poor driving range. There are no tees to hit from, you can’t use your driver, the trackman screens lost connection multiple times, and a few of the balls had massive holes in them.

The greens have been done up nice, can't complain with the price at all either compared to most 9 holes this side of the water. Course is quite tight so you have to hit a nice tee shot or you're in trouble. Driving range is abit outdated and you're not allowed to use driver there is the only downside but my rating is for the course.

Played 9 holes, plays 2422 yards off the golf tees, very nicely kept course, decent level of difficulty, very well kept greens and fairways and friendly staff. Feels like a proper course and is quite pretty considering it’s In between towns, interesting holes and a range of 3,4 and 5 pars, proper course, not a pitch and putt. Did not try the driving range. Decent speed of play, some other players wouldn’t wait for us to finish and would drive and yell fore while we’re still on the green of a 180 yard hole! We were not slow so that was a bit off putting, interesting route to all tees, crossing over other people teeing off so you have to be aware at all times. Very reasonably priced, paid 28 for a 2 ball on a Friday afternoon. Was expecting a lot worse considering what other people have said and I was pleasantly surprised!

Nice little 9 /18 golf course, you wouldn't think it was in middle of 2 town centre's

This used to be a good range and not too expensive for TopTracer. However, they have removed the tees so you cannot use a driver. They also run out of balls frequently now (never seen other ranges run out of balls!), even in the early afternoon sometimes, so I wouldn't bother going as there's a chance it will be a wasted trip.

There is no driving range due to no balls.

Apart from not been able to use a driver, although the guy next to me was it is a reasonable practise facility.

Quite frustrating really… came here for about 6 months as it’s fairly local and it was really good, you could use every club at the range, the course was kept quite well but it almost seems as soon as I became a member everything completely depleted. Driver wasn’t allowed to be used at the range, the course condition got quite literally unplayable most visits, the only good thing is that they’ve tried to make a chipping/putting green albeit not the best, people not really following tee times and just going whenever is best for them, tried to buy a drink for a 18 and they had none so we had to cut off half way through the round to a local shop and grab a drink and lastly contacting the club to see if there’s still range balls within the next hour (being told yes) and then arriving to a sign at the door saying they ran out around an hour ago… really wish I could take back my membership as it just hasn’t felt worth it since joining.

This place is peaceful; not a lot of people are coming. The cheapest in this area too. I was happy with this place, but yesterday we couldn't play properly at the drive range. because they haven't tees in our bays. When I asked the office about it, they said I needed to look at it by myself, but only some holes have tees. We could wait for long, used balls for small distance

Shocking place staff are rude and bar well what can I say.

Nice relaxing place. Nothing fancy, but clean with good, well priced food and polite staff. Good facilities too.

If you have an event in the coming weeks at Barnehurst Golf Course I would advise contacting them ASAP. After several emails with no response my Uncle decided to attend the golf course and speak to the team. He was then informed that our event on November 19th had been cancelled due to a broken shutter on the room which means there is no access to the room and the new company taking over wouldn’t be fixing it. When he asked if they had planned to inform him of this he was met with silence. We truly believe they would have let us turn up on the day and my family wouldn’t have been able to host our baby shower. If they don’t respond via email or telephone I would advise going to speak to someone there as they have failed to respond or reach out to us.

Driving range opening times seem to vary depending on if the staff want to leave early, was told driving range was closed even though I was well within an hour of closing time.

Terrible golf range. The range balls are way old and need replacing. Cannot hit off the tee since they have removed the tees recently and the bays are dirty.. not sure if anyone cleans the place. First and last time there

Played at the driving range, has got the tracker tech so played a few games with the kids

Disappointing start to my 2 grandsons golfing experiences... Dreadful H and S as ball hit his ankle...bunkers filled with weeds etc... Long walks between Tee offs... Cannot pay with card so had to leave and get cash... Price on the morning more than what was quoted on the phone... Fairways not acceptable!! All pretty hazardous....

Fairly limited menu, but the food is excellent and freshly cooked. 3 of us had pizzas and they were huge. The waitress did warn us when we also ordered chips and garlic bread. 'We'll eat it all, no problem' we said. But she was right - doggy bags/boxes were provided. Also various burgers and wraps on the menu. Very good value, especially for the quantity. Friendly and helpful staff. All very clean. There were free kids, meals during the school holiday. Can't understand why it was so empty - it's for anyone, not just the golfers.

Visited for the first time today and will certainly be back. The food was lovely, and reasonably priced, and the staff were all friendly and helpful - even accomodating my fussy child's off-menu requests! The restaurant - and also the toilets - all looked lovely and clean. The menu is not hugely varied, particularly in terms of desserts (basically brownie or ice cream), but the main course has several staples - pizzas, burgers, wraps..., and the brownie was really tasty! I don't often frequent sports bars and had no interest at all in the golf programmes being shown throughout the restaurant on large screens, but we live very close by so it's handy to know this hidden gem is here. I was extremely surprised that, during half term week and with offers of free kids' meals available, the restaurant wasn't busier. It was completely deserted when we arrived, and only a few golfers having drinks when we left. We were the only diners, which felt a little strange, but it wouldn't put me off visiting again.

Tbh honest I don't play golf, never been to the club nor driving range BUT, me and me m8 Jim took his pooch, otis (frenchie bulldog) all round there on a Sunday walk and I was most pleasantly surprised by the large area and how well kept the fields were. Great for walking ur dog or jogging.

Never played golf in my life if but love the fact that the green was not busy my partner and I bummed all night what a result bumming at the 18th hole or should I say coming up the bum hole 18 times signed I like men's bum holes what about you

It's a lovely place to walk. I have lived here over 60 years, and it's always been ideal for walks at anytime of the year. Snow jumping in the bunkers and many happy hours in the sandpit, alas long gone as did the monkey tree, after it became too dangerous for climbing or remaining. Shame the last tenants of the course did not care as much as the council in keeping the paths and woodlands clear of brambles and weeds.

At the present time it's not a golf course, but you can still do some practicing!

Really annoyed that I've wasted a trip. The website states 7.30 opening time for driving range on a Sunday. Got there and was told 9.30 today and don't trust the website. What's the point.

Staff are really friendly and the course is clean, the only down side is the driving range. If you are a long hitter is not the best place for you to use your driver.

This course is extremely poor. If the owners actually put work and money into it then it could be a nice course but in its current state it is aweful. Sadly the below picture was taken on the 8th putting surface. They charge you £13.50p for this too. Outrageous.

Too busy. Good driving range.9 holes combined to 18. Difficult to get around for a first timer on the course.

Went for breakfast, sat waiting for ages, when we eventually found someone thay weren't serving breakfast due to a wedding. No signs up to let you know and no info on web site. Disappointed as kids had chosen what they wanted to eat!

Nice and clean, went for the firework night and it was a good event. Laid on a band as well.

First time playing this course today, and to be honest I was impressed for a public course it was in great condition seeing as it has been raining, staff friendly, very relaxed Greens in good nick and course is a good challenge Will 100% play here again

Course was awful, condition very bad, service in bar was non existent, wouldn't bother again, even though it is around the corner from me.

The coarse is slowly getting back to its former glory, still needs some work.

1st time here for a few years, the layout has improved since then. Well worth a visit for the price.

Great course, if like me you arent ready to play a full course and need a step up from pitch and putt this will give yoy a great challenge

Really good cookies and staff at bar will give a cup to put a cold drink in while you are at the range. The golf course is not easy but not hard. The layout can get confusing but members playing help out with directions.

Used the function room facilities, food was absolutely brilliant, only fault, needs a bigger bag to cope with numbers.

We recently used the clubhouse at Barnehurst Golf Club for a family member's wake. The venue is quite basic, but clean and spacious. The food was excellent, and plentiful (this was commented on by several guests). Two of the guests had complex dietary needs, and were given their own plated meals, which had clearly been thoughtfully prepared. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the whole experience was excellent value for money. Would recommend.

The course is in shocking condition even taking into account the time of year. Also took 15 minutes to book in at the bar as no pro shop now. Not good going into 2019

Handy place for functions. Easy parking. Suitable for Funeral drinks and for private parties.

Had lunch here a few times, usually their club sandwich which is good. Bit disappointed that I couldn’t have a bottle of Diet Coke as these were ‘for members only’ maybe a little expensive for a sandwich but it tasted freshly made so acceptable.

Attended here for our works Christmas party. Positives.. Hardworking staff, clean toilets. Negatives.. Very bland food that even salt and pepper failed to inject life into not to mention small portion sizes but it arrived hot. Disco was okay but dancing space was quite small. Was it value for money? £30 definitely too much... £20 would be more realistic for the standard of food and small portions plus, it would have been better if you actually put the coffee and mince pies on people's tables rather than leave them outside the room as very few people helped themselves and I would imagine the copious amount of mince pies that were left will be re-presented. All in all, one to avoid but I did enjoy being out with my lovely colleagues

A very well-turned out venue for a wedding anniversary. The band were on top form, loads of good tunes and they had party guests singing, too! The club was welcoming and staff were excellent.

Little tight 9 hole course, which will compliment your score card should you be hitting straight. Greens are very indifferent. 1st is really bad. But some are really good. Nice location, you can get round in an hour and half if you don't mess up too much. £3.00 for 100 balls on range between 1400-1600hrs every day. You can buy balls and use them any time over the next 7 days. Nice breakfast. You can get a beer. Nice little inexpensive experience

A cheap but usually well kept public course. Good for a quick practice round.

Terrible state currently.. the course has had no greenkeepers for over a year.. come on Mytime hire some staff..

Nice little 9 hole course and good food and drink afterwards, staff attentive and helpful will play again especially with the good weather.

Tricky little 9 hole course but well worth the visit

Cheap but mostly well kept par 3 course. You get decent value, a couple of the greens could be in better shape but all in good for the money (£11 for a mid week 9). The club sandwich however was top notch.

Went here for a funeral wake, golf course is 9 holes and good for practice. Clubhouse is good size and food provided was good.

Have ventured back to see if anything has changed since our last visit which was November last year 2017. We was informed that there has been a complete change in staff from the top down? Let's hope for the better.

Friendly staff, nice outside seating overlooking the 9th hole. Can get busy in the warmer weather and sometimes needs more bar staff if a function is being held there. Food pretty good but not always everything on menu available. ...best to ring through first to enquire. Having said that they have recently extended their food serving times to 5pm but perhaps they could consider at least one late night for customers that can't get there by that time? Have been using the clubhouse for years though and keep returning! :)

Cheap 9 hole course at £8 a round. The grass is tall, most fairways are obstructed by trees. Constantly zigzagging around the course to find the start of the next hole. Close to the main road on a couple of tee's. Next to a playground at one point. This would be a much nicer place to play if less busy and better maintained.

Pleasant environment for a private party. Lots of staff behind the bar but confusingly slow. Limited drink options one bitter/ale option.

Nice walk if it wasn't for the dog poo that's not picked up

Great place not just for golfers

A Great course for beginners and a decent driving range :)

The driving range was quite expensive to begin with and the bays are totally basic expect without sufficient tees. Literally, there isn't a tee small enough for anything other than a driver in any bay. The range itself is very small. A decent drive with a bit of draw/fade is liable to go over the side nets and endanger golfers on the course. Would not revisit this driving range under any circumstances

Pro's will be a little disappointed. Fortunately I'm rubbish so I enjoyed it.
