Good food but overpriced. But then aren't all fish and chip shops! Good portion sizes though.

Amazing food! the fish and chips was delicious, crispy cod and golden chips will be coming back and thankyou to the staff very kind and polite.

Food is good. Gotten a bit pricey lately. But still my favourite fish and chippie in town.

I only have fish and chips once in 6 or 8 weeks, and when I do, it has to be from Barming Fish and Chips. The quality of their food is just so-o-o good, its a real treat.I have tried several other Chippies in the area but they didn't come close to Barming's quality.

Only suitable for the cats… curry sauce was ok. Chips soggy and half cooked. Savaloy was disgusting/watery/cat food? No thank you!

Fish freshly made so you have to wait for 10 mins, but portions big and I enjoyed the meal 😋 👌🏾

Fish is dry...dripping in grease. Chips greasy curry sauce absolutely tasteless. Overcooked batter, best part of the experience was its cost £28 . Save yourself the trip and money.

Fish and chips were amazing. Fish had a melt in mouth texture. Turkish staff was very friendly polite and helpful.

I was dressed as a Santa's elf and had my photo taken with the owner. He only had an elf's hat. The cod and chips were the best that I have had anywhere for a very long time! Awesome place and great staff.

I give this a 4 star for food because the curry sauce isn't nice it could do with improving, the portion sizes of chips could be bigger they seem to be getting smaller and smaller each time we order.

Very busy but it was a Friday. Staff pleasant and helpful keeping on top of the orders and delivering them to the customers. Food was freshly cooked to order. Slightly expensive but portion size really good. Well worth the visit and will be returning when I'm next in the area.

Our go to fish and chip shop,good portion sizes,great food,good price. It does get busy , especially at the weekends,always good to phone order through and pick it up bit later.

Good fish and chips takeaway. Also do chicken, pies, sausages. You can call ahead and place order. Respecting covid safety. Friendly staff. No parking, but you can park on nearby roads.

I've heard it's 'the best in Kent' For what I had it isn't even in the top 20. Expensive and average food. In no rush to go back

The staff are very helpful and charming. The fish is fresh and the best I have eaten , I have been buying my fish and chips at Barming Fish and chips for the last 5 years and that's the reason I wont go anywhere else because it's perfect every time .

Came to try out this fish and chip shop as it has a good reputation however cod and chips were packed in cardboard box with no grease proof paper which left the food stuck to the cardboard and tainted it with a cardboard taste.

This is arguably the best fish and chip shop in Maidstone in my opinion. Consistently high quality food, great tasting fish and chips with a friendly service.

Nice clean fish shop,staff pleasant and food nice and hot.

A lovely tradional chippy, food always fresh can be busy in the evening which is testament to its popularity with the locals. Also does a pay it forward scheme for the homeless and less fortunate. You pay for a meal, write it on a sticky and put it on the wall for someone else later.

Fantastic service and good food

I've used them a good few times and I drive 10 mins to get to them, and so far every time I've been they cook the fish fresh to order. I highly recommend them.

Love this place. The Cod and Chips are cooked fresh, are very good value, massive portions and as always, a great sign is the queue to get your food. There is always a wide range of fish on the menu and the staff are friendly and eager to help ( rare in some places). What’s handy is you can order over the phone and pick up 20 mins later.

Lovely sausage and chips- piping hot! Shame it is quite hard to find parking nearby but Barming Fish and Chips has a great selection on their menu!

Well priced and tasty food, thoroughly recommend.

Food not bad, although I’ve had much crispier and tastier battered sausages elsewhere. Service extremely slow - about a 20 minute wait for my food. Made worse by the staff encouraging drunks from the pub across the road to come inside and hassle people in the shop with crude jokes.

Just had my second visit in two weeks to barming Fish and chips . Once again lovely fresh cooked fish and as always excellent and very friendly service highly recommend this place

Very slow service,I been waiting for fish and chips 25 minutes.Fish is tasteles and full of greas and chips look like been cut with ax. Do not buy food there if you want nice fish and you don't have all day to wait.

Always great service and great tasting food

Chip shop is nice and clean which is great, fish was really nice, lots of flavour in the batter. Chips were a bit of a let down, not very crispy but they tasted very dry, the potato was almost powdery. Small gripe but it is almost impossible to get a nice crispy chip that is really decent, take on the challenge and set your chips apart from all the other chip shops. Not awful just standard.

After seeing that these guys want to help their local community by donating portions of hot chips to the homeless as they need them, decided to stop in and help them to start the “Pay it forward” scheme! Had a cod, haddock and chips... stunning food, no issue of being oily or anything, just good, clean britsh chippy! Look forward to buying many more dinners and supporting this fantastic business!

Several times we have been into this fish & chip shop & cannot fault the quality & service, always busy which normally tells you its good food, shame they don’t do the cod & chips offer anymore but wouldn’t deter us from still going here

Made a are order over the phone for family and friends over the Christmas period.The staff came across as friendly and cheerful both on the phone and when we went to collect our order.The order was ready when they said it would be and was piping hot .We all agreed it was one of the best fish and chips we had had for a long time.Plenty to eat to.

Not used this place for years, but had no choice recently as other places where closed. Very pleasantly surprised with the warm welcome and good service and very good food, I will be coming back for more.
