Outside seating area for dog walkers under cover. We had eggs Benedict and the eggs were cooked perfectly.

Absolutely lovely cafe for humans and dogs alike. Pups are allowed inside and out, outside is covered and there are blankets provided. The food was yummy - our boy particularly enjoyed his bone shaped cheese sandwich! Above all though was the staff. They are all friendly, welcoming and happy to help. We will definitely be coming back!

Lovely little cafe tucked away just off the high street! Delicious homemade cakes and the flat white was perfectly crafted. Will definitely visit this friendly team again in the future! What a lovely spot on a dreary Thursday.

This is a cafe located in Rushtons Yard Ashby de la Zouch. Car parking is available in a number of carparks located in the town. We sat outside where a menu is available by the door in a stand. The prices in comparison to other cafes in town are alot cheaper, the quality of food is superb, and quick to arrive at the table. The staff were friendly when serving food. There is plenty of available seating located outside which dogs are welcome to sit also. In regards to the indoors area I cant comment as I didnt order food, but it does have toliets available. Am not certain if it provides highchairs, however it is dog friendly as it provides a menu aimed at dogs, and dogs are allowed indoors.

I attended with my dog for breakfast mid-week and found it quite underwhelming. I was expecting a really positive doggy response however was disappointed. We were the only ones in there however no attention was paid to the dog. I had to ask if I could order food rather than being approached and the food was microwaved. Could be so much better if the doggy welcome was as portrayed.

Great food, great welcome, great coffee and although we don't have the dog loved the theme running through the cafe. We looked at quite a few in Ashby and this is the one we chose. A great place to break a journey. We will be back.

We were out dog quaking and needed lunch nothing planned ..this place on boxing day was busy as we arrived ..greeted with a smile and found a seat for everyone 20 customers were served as we had lunch we all had to wait ..the order was not quite right and not a complaint from anyone the food was great the atmosphere a delight and the staff (2) worked clearly hard to get everything right ...we stayed longer ate more spent more and will be back ...this is a great place to go dog or not ... its not cheap we spent 40.00 on 4 meals and dog treats ..and we had to wait a little but this is forgiven for being such a lovely place immaculate clean...welcoming and very dog friendly

Popped in for a coffee rather than using a high st brand…ended up having a lovely sandwich and took some freshly made scones home. Great little place and it’s not just for dog owners!😄

We had a lovely warm welcome to this cafe. We only had coffee and cake but the mango cake was fantastic. Our dog also received a warm welcome and a treat. There is also a doggy menu including a high tea which I have never seen before. Can highly recommend this cafe and would definitely visit again if we are in the area.

Came here with my 5 year old step daughter and my little chihuahua/yorkie. The food was lovely (omelettes and panini), and the options for dogs was brilliant. She had a sandwich, some ice cream, a bone cookie and a donut! Will definitely be going back again.

Nice and friendly staff, good service and great food. Dog friendly to :) They do arrange of food for four leg friends. Small seating area inside, or you can sit upstairs or outside. Upstairs seating is a little stiff. Worth a visit if you are in the area.

Tucked away behind the main shopping street, Barkers is a real gem. It's just what you want in a traditional tea room - but they have doggy treats too. I enjoyed a refreshing cup of Yorkshire tea with my ginger scone accompanied by rhubarb and ginger jam. If only I had a dog with me to try something tasty. The outside seating is in a pretty courtyard and they have a few indoor tables too. Excellent.

Lovely little cafe that is extremely dog friendly. The people were really lovely and helpful. We had a delicious slice of cake and a coffee. Our dog had a yummy liver biscuit and was very content in there. It is tucked away a little bit so wasn't the easiest to find, but we are glad we did! Hope to return soon.

Barkers is so lovely! I took my slightly muddy little boy to have a treat here! I had the most fantastic chocolate cake and they made him a bone shaped cheese sandwich! He even got to sit in a window seat! The cakes here are amazing, good price and there are so many friendly dog lovers there it was nice to have a good chat too! I highly recommend to anyone popping into ashby!

Brilliant little roadside cafe in a layby on the A6 just south of Kegworth. My son and I called in for brunch en route to South Wales and were met with a really friendly welcome. We ate in (and its bigger inside than it looks) and breakfast was excellent - the filled torpedo rolls are enormous. Would definitely use again if ever nearby.
