Bar Remo in City of London, Westminster

Food came quickly. Ample seating. But there are better Italian restaurants at similar price point.

I just want to say a big thank you to all the staff who were on Saturday night. I was in a bit of trouble, needing a plug for my phone charger, being lost in London with a dead phone. Even if the bar was full, the staff still allowed me a place at the bar, next to a plug, and gave me a coffee . Also , seeing me a bit distraught, they came to check on me from time to time to see if I needed anything else. Very caring despite being run off their feet. Shout out to them. Thank you again to all of you, and God bless you!

An excellent Italian, food is beautifully made and really tasty. We shared a meat platter for starters and then had two different pasta dishes! Service is top notch, we will eat here again!

Delicious food, wanted to work my way through the menu but we will continue to return. Service was friendly extremely helpful and knowledgeable when we asked what some of the dishes were on the menu. X

Average food and average service. Not all mains were served at the same time for a table of four, meaning one guest had to wait 5-10mins for their food. Ordered a spaghetti dish with the gluten-free option, only to be served penne pasta and to be told that that's all they had gluten-free after the fact, plus it felt like it was a much smaller portion. Cacio e Pepe was overly peppery for two of the guests and they didn't enjoy it. The grilled octopus salad had barely any octopus in it. Not worth the money and won't be coming back.

I’ve been there a few times, food is always fresh, decoration and lights let the atmosphere super cozy, the waiters are very attentive. This time I went early (4pm) to enjoy calmly, and was very quiet. I ordered octopus salad and gnocchi 4 formaggi. The wine “verdicchio” was fantastic! I’ll be back and highly recommend.

This was my third visit to Bar Remo. The service is fast, the staff is friendly and attentive, the pasta and pizzas are delicious, and it has a warm atmosphere. I have never been disappointed. I highly recommend it.

Excellent meal here, friendly service. The wine was nice and free-flowing, the food was delicious and plentiful. I particularly enjoyed the arancini, the cured meats, the parmesan, and (especially!) the concentrated balsamic. Will certainly return!

Just try it. A colleague made us walk across half of London to find this place, and I was saying "this better be good". It was exceptional.

We were recommended this wonderful restaurant by a friend who is a regular visitor. The staff were incredibly welcoming on arrival, we were seated quickly and drinks soon arrived. The menu was full and varied. The dishes we ordered were exceptional. I fully recommend this authentic Italian restaurant and cannot wait to return.

Best Italian in London. This restaurant is just off Oxford Street and it’s a hidden gem. Considering where it is, the prices are fantastic. This is the 5th time we have been here and it’s just amazing. The service is excellent and all the staff are lovely. The quality of food is fresh and the pasta is perfectly cooked. We had the spinach and ricotta tortellini and a thick spaghetti in aubergine sauce with roasted tomatoes and burrata. For dessert, we had a Nutella cheesecake (photo taken half way through eating!) which was homemade. Best cheesecake I’ve ever had!

Never been to Italy, but I felt like I was on holiday eating the food here! Absolutely delicious. A tad expensive, but if you're visiting for a treat to ell worth it. Wouldn't be worth a regular trip, but quick service and delicious food every now and then, why not!?

An Italian restaurant where you can talk to the staff in Italian. Pleasant ambience, great food and top service. Prices are slightly higher than in similar restaurants further from the city center. We plan to return

As i made my way in i was looked up and down by the door attendant who asked me "how can i help you" As i made my way out i was bid farewell only by awkward looks from the staff with no farewell wishes. Id advise anyone of african descent not to go because of the way i was recieved by the staff at the door. Only reason i stayed to dine was because i had planned the visit for a few days and had not eaten through the day expecting to have the lasagna after my shift at work. The lasagna was ok. The calamari and courgette was very good. the tomatoes juice was warm. A nice lady who was dining alone , as i was, made conversation from the table across from me hence my high rating for atmosphere.

We have been to Bar Remo a few times when visiting London and have never been disappointed. The food is amazing, always tasty and plentiful and the staff are so attentive, they were even able to bring our booking forward by an hour. This is genuinely one of the best restaurants in London.

A lovely Italian restaurant just off Regent Street. Great food, great service, OK décor but that’s not what we came for. We enjoyed Pollo diavola, Parmesan zuccini chips and Nutella cheesecake. We will definitely come back.

We went for dinner, we ordered the cherry tomato salad with burrata, spaghetti bolognese and entrecôte with potatoes. For dessert, Nutella cheesecake and ice cream. Everything was very good. The waiter who served us was very friendly. The price was a little high considering that we ate one dish each, but it is a good restaurant, in the center.

Would not serve me a non alcoholic beer without ordering food. I was asked to leave There were plenty of empty tables.Do not go there!

My fave italian restaurant in the UK. Have been many times. Great food and location. Price for location is great too. I recommend the frutti de mare pasta, garlic bread, risotto balls, nduja pasta.

Booked here based on the reviews on here and really happy we did. We had a lovely waiter who I think was new and he was lovely. Enjoyed the octopus starter, olives and delicious focaccia. Followed by pollo Milanese, vongole, bolognese (massive portion), tortellini and pizza. All really well cooked, hot and tasty. Just to note they don’t do a kids menu or half portions of pasta, which is fair enough. We will definitely book again when in the area.

Arranged a dinner with a group of 8 last night. I did a lot of research into local restaurants before choosing this one. I've never been before and didn't know what to expect, but I was so very happy with the outcome. We had a blast. My friend said the wine list was excellent, and we started in with a delicious bottle of red. The food was pretty straightforward, but cooked perfectly. The service was spot on. Many thanks to our waitress Anna who was delightful. This will be our new go to meetup location.

I took some of my team to Remo for dinner, the food was good without being great and at a reasonable price - coming to about £50 a person, pretty much in line with what you would expect to pay for mains and a couple of drinks. The service felt a bit rushed, but largely polite.

Very good Italian traditional food in a restaurant that exists many years . We always come back here . Perfect central location. Pizzas in the oven as well as pastas are great . Book a table on the street level . Prices 40-50 USDLRS per person including tip.

One of my favourite places in London. I used to work close by and would go there at least once a week for a quick lunch or a more leisurely dinner. Super food, great people and great service. If we have a meet up of the team that worked on Regent St - we always go back to Bar Remo.

Excellent experience all around. Wine was perfect, pizza was deliciously done, salads were tasty and plentiful, and gnocchi was sublime. Nutella doughnuts with vanilla ice cream is an absolute must…family is talking about going back just for that dessert!

Absolutely delicious! seafood at this level is very difficult to find in London specifically in the center, I visited this place a while ago and can say that does not disappoint! definitely will come back ♥️ hands up to Cosmin and the team that were very attentive in general.

Dissapointing food on this occasion been before and it was fab but the chicken was bone dry and the tomato Sauce with my rissoto balls starter was just tomatoe puree watered down. Itt was really not good very sad

Bar Remo is undoubtedly the best restaurant in London. You can savour everything as if you were in Italy. I was with my family and the service is fantastic. Americo was very good, he advised us and make us spend a wonderful evening.👍

It is surprising to find in a city like London, where the food is so mediocre and with little variety, a restaurant like Bar Remo, which is, without a doubt, one of the two best Italian restaurants I have visited in my life. At the level of Fuoko, which I have in Madrid below my house. I ate a pizza with Italian sausages, boletus and spectacularly good truffle sauce that I will probably remember all my life, just as I remember that spectacular lasagna that I ate in Rome two decades ago. Also very good is the variety of breads and focaccias that you can order as a starter. My wife ate another pizza that she also really liked, and my son had a very good truffle pasta with a very generous amount of truffle, the real thing, no sauces or substitutes. And for dessert, I ordered an assortment of cheeses, and my family doesn't remember what, but they liked it a lot. Was it expensive? Well yes. Eating in London is expensive. but not more expensive than what a mediocre meal would have cost us in any of the many places that populate London. Don't hesitate, if you go to London, visit Bar Remo, which is very close to the intersection of Oxford Street and Reget Street, very central. For me it will already be a must visit if I return to the British capital.

We were at Bar Remo yesterday. The food was perfect. The pasta and pizza were wonderful. We will definitely return again. Thanks to the waiter Americo he was perfect and the service was amazing.

Just came back from Bar Remo, well it's lovely. I will start with the negative parts and finish with the good parts: The Pizzas were not the best (not my taste?.. I don't know) The octopus was really tasty but a bit chewy.. just the salad with it was a bit for decoration. Remove the salad keep the octopus as it is and it's perfect. The calamari.. the mayonnaise was divine I have to admit.. but the calamari was ok courgettes what for? I'll give it another try but not for pizzas. Service was good but a bit more interaction would be a plus. Anyway thank you to the kitchen staff and waiting staff.

We ordered Pollo Diavole and Pollo alla Milanese, which was freshly made and efficiently served by friendly, attentive and very professional staff. The restaurant is compact inside but not uncomfortably so. Family visits with wheelchairs and push chairs would struggle for space but there are outside tables for more room in fine weather. I would recommend booking in advance but I got the impression that the staff would accommodate a spontaneous visit. The location is great only 3mins walk from Oxford Circus!

Very friendly Waiters and a great and welcoming atmosphere that comes to you as you enter. Probably the best Carbonara I’ve ever tried and the pizza is amazing as well. Over all just 5 stars and earned.

Great authentic Italian restaurant. Delicious food and friendly service. Well priced. They have two levels of seating and we didn’t need a reservation to walk in midday for lunch. Diverse menu of pizzas, pastas, salads and more. Also a good wine selection.

Intimate little Italian eatery with great vibe and reasonable prices in the heart of London. Hospitality was excellent and carbonara that literally lives on in my dreams. Have booked again with another group of friends as it’s definitely worth returning to.

Fantastic service by all and especially the lady from Bulgaria. Sorry I can't remember her name. She was excellent. Portions are huge for the sharing breads so next time we will have a starter for 1. The tiramisu was the best. Looking forward to going again. Well done all.

Where to start! We had an amazing meal in this very authentic looking/feeling Italian restaurant. Best pasta carbonara ever tasted, very creamy and rich, just the way we prefer it. Everything just tasted very italian and "right"! Attentive and kind service so it all made for a memorable visit on a sunny day in London.

Went yesterday for dinner with several friends. Good food, attentive but not overbearing service. Could not fault it in any way. However what really put the icing on the cake was before we arrived. In the booking I mentioned that my daughter is disabled and uses a wheelchair. Two days before the meal the manager telephoned me to make sure that she could be comfortably accommodated. We will be back.

The pizzas here are some of the best in central London and the wine was fantastic. The host was super welcoming and friendly, the wait-staff however are a little cold and un-friendly (the 2 we interacted with were anyhow) Note, there is a service charge of about 10% added to your bill after.

Honestly, this place was amazing. Start to finish. The service was impeccable. The food is delicious and the portions are huge,the quality is very high. Americo our waiter always followed us, he recommended all fantastic dishes. Thanks we will definitely be back.

Fantastic authentic Italian bistro. Had a great dinner with my wife here, the waiter suggested I try their truffle maccheroni and it was perfectly al dente with shaved truffle on top. Wife's carbonara was creamy and really hit the spot. Feel free to ask for more parmesan for an extra hit of cheesiness. Highly recommend if you're in the area!

We booked this a a pre theatre meal. There is an upstairs and a downstairs and some outdoor seating. We were taken downstairs where it appeared that there was one waiter for the whole area, although there was another waiter who we think was new. We waited a long time to be offered drinks. We then waited an even longer time for our order to be taken and asked the waiter twice and then the other man another time before he eventually came over. Side note- the man looked thoroughly miserable for the whole time. He then asks us what we would like, I order a starters and he says they don’t have it. This is seriously a pet hate of mine. Why did they not tell us what is unavailable when they gave us the menu instead of leaving us to choose and getting excited about our choice and then say no! I then had to ask him what else was not available and with a raise of his eyebrows he told us. Not wishing to wait another age for him to come back I quickly ordered something else. So at this point, I will stop with the negative and point out that the food was exceptional- I’d probably put up with ‘old misery guts’ for the food alone. We then ask for the bill and yes we wait again. He then gives us the bill which is wrong and clearly not ours (I wish! It was about £30 cheaper). We then wait to get his attention again (he is good at not making eye contact) I tell him it’s not our bill and ask him to remove the 12.5% discretionary service charge. He raised his eyebrows at this so he obviously heard. He went away and then immediately (for once) came back and said “what did you say?” I told him that I had asked him to remove the service charge, he then asked “why? What was wrong with the service”. He said this very loudly. I told him that we’d had issues with waiting, him not telling us what was unavailable and then giving us the wrong bill. (Which if I wanted to be particularly cruel I could have paid and left and been around £30 richer. Which he never said thanks for). He then went away, brought back the correct bill and stood there with a card machine held out whilst I checked the bill, found my purse and got out my card. Clearly a man not happy in his job! Bar Remo - he is letting your chefs down.

My mum and I ate here yesterday. We would highly recommend it. The food was amazing and the service very attentive. Definitely a must to go again!

My daughter and I had a delicious late lunch -pasta carbonara and pizza. Followed by the outstanding pavlova sundae. Service friendly and atmosphere authentic. Highly recommend.

The best gluten free pizza - EVER! The food is amazing and they cater so well for gluten free from pizza to pasta. It’s the only Italian I’d eat at in London. The staff are amazing too, faultless service.

Great food, amazing service but unfortunately the toilets were quite disgusting (sticky, smelly, strobe light on the mens toilet). Besides by that i highly recommend anyone to come here.

Sadly my friend and I ended up getting a bit of food poisoning from this spot. We both had the same dish, the octopus starter. But before the food poisoning kicked in we did enjoy the food, service and the atmosphere.
