Been in the early 90's,its exactly the same now and I love it. There are no places left with any character and community feel,this place is an exception. You might have to share a table when its busy. Love the fact that this place attracts all ages all walks of life. The best tea I have had in years,proper tea leaves! All the staff were polite and friendly,nothing was too much trouble. A gut busting portion for £10-12, where can you eat in central London for this price? Me and my son have worked our way through the menu,Risotto lovely,proper pizza,liver,onion mash and gravy my favourite,and all pastas and sauces. A hundred different fresh panini's to choose or make up your own.

Very big breakfast served quite quickly, good service. Dishes made to order, so everything is fresh. 3 persons breakfast plus drinks just below fourty pounds.

Wonderful atmosphere and excellent service right in the centre of London!

Friendly and quick service, huge portions, very high quality and tasty. Probably the best "hidden" gem in central London, it's super affordable for being in this location. Whenever I am in the centre or have friends visiting, I take them to this place. 10/10

Food is fine it’s a caff But the weird guy with the glasses who works there seems to enjoy intimidating mothers and children who visit You run a caff not a five star restaurant If people visit with children be friendly - don’t stare at mothers menacingly, tut all the time, turn music up to make a point or slam things down on the table to make a statement. You’re weird mate, sort it out.

I was skeptical at first because of the reviews, but the food at Bar Bruno convinced me - really great! Breakfast is highly recommended and fills you up for the whole day. The service is okay, but the place is a bit cramped.

Typical English breakfast place with wide range of dishes, from jacket potatoes to omelette without forgetting the star full English. They could accommodate my gluten free intolerance without any problem (toasted gluten free bread w butter) and served us a delicious full English rapidly after we ordered. Little gem right in the center of London. I highly recommend.

My friend Hassan and I had breakfast here, its the best English breakfast I’ve had in years. Food was delicious, service was excellent, last of the real cafes in the West End . Forget queuing at some other hyped up restaurants, you want real food then i suggest you try this place

Had a delicious chicken parm sandwich for only £8. Great value for the area and really filling.

Got myself steak & cheese plus hash brown for breakfast and the portion was more than generous. Tasty breakfast! This place has a no frills easy-going vibes that made a solo traveller like me instantly at ease. Service was quick and attentive, no pressure to rush despite tables getting filled up. Thumbs up!

This was the best breakfast we had while visiting London! We ordered the Eggs Benedict Royale and traditional English breakfast and both were incredible. My mouth waters just thinking about it. Service was great and super quick. If you're looking for a casual breakfast spot in Soho, don't miss this place!

Fabulous spaghetti vongole and the best cheapest coffee in the West End. Can’t believe I didn’t know about this gem until recently. I’m now a regular whether just for coffee, a bacon sarnie or early dinner. Great friendly service too.

Very pleasant service. A good portion of food and a fair price from the area! Had the Soho breakfast with a broccoli/ spinach scrambled eggs which I l'd never think to make but it was good n healthy.

Food was disgusting. The bacon was like just lukewarm fat. Asked for no butter/spread but got it anyway. Overpriced poor fayre.

I've visited Bar Bruno a few times when visiting London and it's always been a good experience. I would recommend if you want a big full English breakfast for decent price.

Many options and genuine atmosphere

A bar that serves very, very good English breakfasts. Here it's not really formal, but it's the assurance of fair, good and generous cuisine. The English breakfasts are very affordable (£12) and are super generous; a sausage, two hashbrowns, beans, a fried egg, bacon, a kind of pea pancake and plenty of toast. The formula comes with milk tea but since I don't like that I asked for water instead. Everything is very good. The sausage is nicely cracked, the egg perfectly cooked and still runny, the beans not too sweet. I don't usually like hashbrowns but these were delicious; the potato is well grated inside and the frying is not too heavy. I just didn't like the pea pancake which was forgettable in my opinion. The service is super fast and it's a rich first meal of the day, but it keeps you going until 3-4 p.m. The atmosphere is nice, a bit like an English pub, with a mix of all social classes. We are well seated despite the wear of the benches. In summary? It's a very good address that ticks all the boxes for a good English breakfast, without fuss. I warmly recommend you.

If you're in the mood for a traditional English breakfast, this is the right place to go. I recommend Ben Brakefats from the menu, which will saturate you min. for the whole day, but there is also a lot of other great food on offer. It's a shame that it's not possible to try them all in one visit :) They also offer a large selection of sandwiches and other traditional dishes such as roast beef, steak... They offer breakfast all day.

This is a super good little place at the corner here. Visiting from out of the USA, and this has amazing flavor! My new little favorite in Soho. I got the Gnocchi Pesto and I highly recommend!

Great paninis for a quick lunch, lots of choices available, many people getting the all day breakfast. Nice and quick.

Classic Sandwich/Breakfast/Diner place. Huge portions, very reasonable prices, friendly staff. No surprise many of the guests were local "hard hat" workers charging up for a long day's work. English Breakfast and breakfast club was delicious but the Liver with onions and mash were the star.

What a lovely little place we found while trying to find some other than the run of the mill chains the food was great weall had something different and really enjoyed it. the staff are lovely we will be revising very soon.

Honest food cooked perfectly and served by staff who genuinely care about your time. One waiter even noticed that I was about to use my napkin and brought a fresh one as I used it. Sausage, Egg and Bacon bap is the perfect pre-work breakfast 🍳

A soho legend that delivers daily

This was one of the few places open early for a decent breakfast in the area and it was great. I'm gluten free so getting breakfast on the go is really hard. The breakfast was solid with good portions and they had good gluten free options. The server was also very attentive which was lacking in some of the places I'd eaten in London.

I went there a few times, the caffe is low quality and the staff rushing me to pay as they didn’t pay attention to my order I have to repeat what I wanted a few times, the guy was quiet rude and not hygienic talking on my food . Not coming back again !

Bruno’s Big Breakfast was absolutely fantastic

Stopped in for breakfast based on other reviews. Great spot for a quick meal and excellent service. Definitely recommend!

The quantity is large and the taste is good. It's not that cheap. If you eat it for brunch, you don't have to worry about it until dinner. You can't see it in the picture, but it also comes with two pieces of bread toast. The small store's lively atmosphere fits well with the Soho area. You can order iced coffee, but it is not recommended.

ordered spag Bolognese it was really nice ,good quality, well packaged, hot, good value, would order again, recommend

We came for breakfast on a Monday and the place was pretty empty. We got the BB full breakfast (it comes with toast but it isn't pictured here). We also got the smoked salmon Benedict. The full breakfast is a great deal. It comes with so much. The hashbrowns were delicious. Loved that it also came with tea. Very hearty no frills meal. Tip: don't go to the bathroom here. Don't ask me why.

One of the better places for liver bacon. I would have liked the liver to be a little undercooked but I guess there is the risk of you know!! Bar Bruno, possibly the only greasy spoons in SOHO offering a wide range of sandwiches is evidently a popular with tourists and people in the area. Finally gave it a visit because of the liver and bacon which is getting rare these days. It is hard to find good ones because lack of demand hence it will probably come from the freezer. The liver here was good but I felt that it was a bit over cooked compared to the one I had previously which was served pink. Anyhow, I still recommend this place.

Bar Bruno an Amazing step back in time for a Famous Italian Cafe in Central London , Wardour Street W1. It open from 4am , always full of regular customers from the Window Cleaner's , Builders , Office Workers to Night Club Staff finishing work and the odd Actor , Property Tycoon . With a Great Atmosphere , Friendly , Great Food , Value for money in Soho a must visit .

Very local place with great food and fantastic service. If you get there and place is full - they have basement area with additional tables. I had jacket potato with tuna and was super good. Portions generous with affordable prices.

Spectacular breakfast and very friendly employees

Nice surprise at dawn… we were looking for a place to eat breakfast around 5am, we are delighted to have found this place. Warm, very smiling and pleasant waitress, fast service, hearty dish with good hot tea. We really felt like we were in England.

Stayed in SoHo and next to this great breakfast place! I ate here for six mornings and no reason to go anywhere else. Food was excellent, quick and the people are warm and friendly like I have found all over London. The first morning I had to try the £14 big breakfast and couldn’t finish it! The grill breakfast sandwiches are really good and I would highly recommend checking out Bar Bruno.

Feels like a family owned business that is very good at looking after its customers. Staff are very friendly and happy to help, food is great, and they do take-away. There is only a small seating area and it gets busy at peak times, but very worthwhile seeking this place out. Very much recommend the breakfast and lunch sandwiches!

I found myself awake at 4 am and wanting breakfast, and this place was open. The food and service were both great. I highly recommend the BBB breakfast. Great prices too!

Dont know what is wrong with these people but i came in just to have a look, and i clarified this a couple of times. After changing my mind and ordering one of their sandwiches (which was toasted, and wrapped up for me) i found a ball of chewed up gum in one of the sandwich halves…

Have stopped here a few times for breakfast and coffee. This is a long established place and popular. The staff are great and very helpful. Small seating area Inside but there is further seating downstairs. The food is great and cooked to order. I had the eggs benedict which I really enjoyed. Have been back several times and would definitely recommend.

Went in with the full intention to get a breakfast but the counter full of panninis stopped me dead. Ended up going for a delicious hot mozzarella, olive and sundried tomato pannini. Excellent tasting food and a charming little cafe, will definitely come here again!

In need of a proper breakfast after a late night, I found this little gem thanks to Google. I was sitting in a Pret, googling breakfast options which would get me through a long day and the mundane of a coffee chain, was not going to do it. You can always tell a great place for breakfast because all the trades are in there. The server was very helpful, the food came quick. It was hot and delicious. The tea was like amber nectar (the hotel I was staying in, didn't even have a kettle!) I realised they have other lunch and dinner options so will definitely be returning when I'm next in London. Beware of the set menu extras!! Even having a coffee instead of Tea cost extra, expect to pay up to £17 for a fry up

This restaurant is amazing. We have got to know this restaurant by chance. My father and I love this restaurant because they have delicious English breakfast. We came many times to this place. We recommend the Royal Eggs and vegetarian English breakfast.

Authentic cafe. Well run and decent food . Friendly staff and I would suggest trying the lamb shank or liver and bacon.

It is a typical London cafe. Almost all of them have disappeared after the pandemic, but Brunos is a treasure in the middle of the bustle of Soho. A very good service. Delicious food, and the best at a fair price.

Firstly this place didn't look like much, but once inside there was great music, food and service.

If you’re looking for a quick service and great food for a good value, then this is the place! The English breakfast was perfect, made with fresh ingredients and so tasty! Everything was served quickly so perfect if you’re a bit in a rush.

Its awsome experience, bruno breakfest is huge and very tasty. Highly recommend.

I came here for my second time recently after having searched for the place, not remembering the name, and had been very glad to find it. I ordered Cannoli and requested garlic bread which they made for me, which was outstanding, thoroughly enjoyed. The service was excellent and I felt very welcome. The atmosphere of the place is also wonderful, I really looking forward to visiting again, fully recommend this place.

Nice place with value food and drinks

Couldn't love this spot more, proper old school cooked breakfast (veggi for me, it did come with toast and beans also , but i opted out of them) with a cuppa. Enjoyed every mouthful . The menu is pretty good for such a small place and very reasonably priced. I'll def be back next week to try the sandwiches which looked great, the huge bacon and egg sandwich in particular looked fab, and the jacket spuds. Go here and avoid the usual dull and monotonous chains that over charge for the same old crap, this is much more like home cooked food which is hard to get in London these days

Cannot rate this restaurant highly enough! It was a busy Saturday evening when everywhere was heaving with no room, Bar Bruno went out of their way to find space for seven, the portions were large, the prices were very reasonable, the service exceptional and a great time was had by all, highly recommended and would go back anytime!

What can you say very few of these sorts of places left in Soho as the chain restaurants move in and the prices go through the roof. Wonderful normal filling good with fast service and amazing prices. Keep up the good work don't go all high end on us.

Been using this cafe for years, the food is great and the service is good. I’d recommend to everyone. Food selection is very broad, something for everyone. Franco and his team are brilliant, absolutely the best cafe I’ve ever used by a country mile. Best English breakfast in London or anywhere in my opinion

I didn't really figure out who's Bruno, but I love the sandwiches! Really nice and unpretentious café in (the ❤️ of) London. Absolutely loved it!

Went to a theatre and found Bar Bruno for dinner. Has a downstairs, which is where we sat. The food was freshly cooked and absolutely delicious. The staff were friendly, polite and efficient. The prices were extremely reasonable and the menu range was extensive which surprised us all. We will make a point of going there again when we go to London, we loved our experience there.

There I am in the center of Soho feeling hungry and in need of a coffee ...but really don't fancy cakes or pudding at silly prices and not wanting to pay restaurant prices, when I come across Bar Bruno and get a full plate of vegetarian tagliatelle and mug of coffee at Cafe prices, in Wardour Street, cheap and cheerful, job done...

Good atmosphere, good value for money, good scran I think one of the things that makes a restaurant or bar actually FOR the residents in their community is when they are reasonably priced and good value for money, something bar bruno is. I will be returning
