Bar 82 The Espresso Lounge in Colchester

What a lovely little find. Visiting Colchester from Ipswich with my daughter and wanted a hot drink and a snack. We were wandering around and found this little gem. Small cafe. On sitting down we glanced at other tables and their food and we were tempted to rather than buy a sandwich or toastie we both had cheesy chilli jacket potatoes served with a little bowl of dressed salad and coleslaw. The service was both quick and friendly. The place had a nice relaxing atmosphere and some of the customers seemed to know the staff so it seems like they have returning customers. They also did a nice pot of tea.

Lovely place, staff are very accommodating. The food was amazing best burger I've had in a while I don't normally order burgers but been there a few times and always fresh amazing food so glad I tried theirs as wasn't disappointed.

MMM what can I say about this place well let me start by saying nice little place smaller than I fist thought. but ok just popped in for a coffee friendly welcoming staff, music in the background not to loud you are signing to your partner. Dose look like it has a nice menu did not try the food but from what I saw come of the kitchen looked nice and presented well. will try the breakfast just hope it is not one of them horrid catering sausage. Dose have new competition with two new coffee shops open in the area. so try this one as I do try and back small family run places.

I have visited this cafe so many times , for breakfast with the family , lunch with my friends, business meetings! This cafe is amazing, the family who run it are so lovely and always welcoming. The food is amazing and affordable. They are so accommodating, my daughter has a milk allergy and they are so helpful and understanding. I would 100% recommend.
