Bar 1 in Great Yarmouth

Had a mixed gammon and beef roast, was lovely food and very friendly staff, only downfall was what seemed to be a regular drinker in the pub that approached myself making inappropriate comments. My partner pointed out that he’d sniffed my neck whilst I was ordering food at the bar. We Enjoyed our food but was easily distracted and made to feel uncomfortable as we noticed he’d done the same to other women in the pub.

Haven't eaten there as of yet but everything else around food was great!

Really bright bar, lovely bar maid who was helpful and the food was brilliant and such a good helping of it. Really struggled to finish it but it’s well worth a trip for a roast dinner

A group of 13 of us went for Sunday lunch, large plate full all cooked lovely! Staff were amazing , accommodating kids and 2 dogs. A band was playing later on making the atmosphere fantastic. Would highly recommend and would definitely return.

This roast dinner I’ve had was possibly one of the best Sunday dinners I’ve had.. everything had so much flavour and considering it was delivery it was present to absolute top standard.. I don’t normally write reviews but the two I’ve written in the past 2 years are both to this place.. the loaded potatoes with cheese and gammon are MASSIVE PORTIONS!!!!! 🏆

Wow! I ordered the b1 burger and hunters chicken.. I’ll start with the chips.. perfectly seasoned,cooked to perfection and perfect temp.. haven’t had chips like these in a while! Then we come to the mains.. hunters chicken is a bbq chargrilled style beautifully cooked piece of chicken breast with to die for streaky bacon and absolutely delicious melted cheese. Finally the b1 burger was bang on perfectly cooked.. presented amazingly and tastes even better.. melt in the middle cheese! Thankyou

A wonderful Saturday evening with family and friends. Staff here are very friendly and welcoming, have gone above and beyond in ensuring we were comfortable. The food was served piping hot, and generous portions. Overall, great ambience and would love to revisit this place soon.

A Sunday roast takeaway was lovely. Plenty of meat and gravy. Highly recommended. Best one I’ve ever had for a takeaway. That’s my second one, and definitely not my last. Well done Bar 1

Popped in for dinner after work. First time in the area and a very welcome team at the bar took our drink order then our food order. Makes a huge impact to have a nice welcome and amazing service when coming into somewhere new. Food was superb. The burgers were perfect. No frills or over the top selection of toppings. And the BBQ beef bites, delicious, fell to bits as you cut and bit into them. Good portion sizes for the price. If and when I come back to the area, I will be back for some more food and amazing service.

Great food, attentive staff, good portions. It was our first visit to Bar 1 and staff were very kind and welcoming. Lots of choice of drinks and food. We ordered B1 Burger and Barbecue wings. Delicious food at a reasonable price.

Lovely Open style welcome home pub like a chain style venue. with a nice outside seating BBQ area. Food is lovely smoke barbecued food in front of you being cooked 👍 And with highly recommend parking down the road near the quayside as only a 2-minute walk. Friendly staff definitely worth popping there if you buy the seaside in gorlston

Been a few times and food has always been great! good value for money. They host a lot of events which always seem to be popular with a good atmosphere.

Can't get in !! I live in gorleston and everytime I've been they have turned me away.. Team on door rude. I was happy to wait if at capacity but said that's it noone else allowed in.

Bar 1 in Gorleston has a great Sunday lunch made and prepared by bad Boyz kitchen which is working with the bar1 restaurant and bar, we had smoked bricket beef with red cabbage chantilly carrots, homemade stuffing and crispy roast potatoes and homemade Yorkshire puddings, great friendly service and you can see how important it is to the Boyz that you really enjoy your food, it was so exciting to taste food that you can tell had so much flavour in every mouthful, they do extras ie pigs in blankets, creamy leeks which we enjoyed and next on the list crackling, veggy option available too, much enjoyed and highly recommended.

Sunday roast really good. Automatic extra jug of gravy. Real ale only in bottles.

They have regular music and food. It has more of an appeal to the younger generation. Saturday between certain times is Ibiza tunes in the restaurant with live dj as much as you can drink with a meal for a set price.

Really friendly barmaid. Had a long chat with this smiley person made our visit really worthwhile. Looking at the weekend entertainment it looks interesting and will pop in one evening to sample it. Keep up the good work guys.

Visiting the area last year we found this place by accident, received a warm and friendly welcome for ourselves and our four legged friend, back in the area, so called in again today, same welcome, a real gem and amazing staff, only wish that I could rate higher

Friendly atmosphere with live music and sport on the tvs Two years on and within a month and a half this place has put 40p a pint to be one of the most expensive in gorleston. Now don't get me wrong, living wage has gone up, NI is gonna sting ppl at least till July for the majority in this area and costs for raw materials, making and transport have all gone up but all these problems also affect your customers and it's with deep regret that I've just had my last pint in bar one

Great food great fish and chips. The staff were so friendly. Was a real treat as it was our last night in gorleston. Shame we couldn't go back again.

Loved, loved, loved this bar. Literally just left the place. We will most definitely be returning. Loved to see the place packed and so lively! Staff so friendly and the man with the goaty was a laugh. Really great. Thank you #tweedy im sure the owner said. Definitely recommend if your older and feel out of place at oceans

Stumbled upon Bar 1 after a busy day on the North Norfolk Banksy trail. Great food...MASSIVE portions, so big we had to give desert a miss sadly. We will definitely return again when in the area. Very highly recommended. Thanks for your hospitality.

As i do delivery and get orders from everywere around , my 5 stars is given for helpful staff and so frendly ,also for hapy customers . I like the design and decoration inside .Bravo.

Good beer, atmosphere prices reasonable, very clean. Only one gripe projector for footie was a little low Res (good TV screens for viewing though), but others than that a great bar.

We're here in Gorleston-on-sea for the weekend and were on route to the Indian restaurant.. We stopped at Bar 1 for a quick drink about 3.30pm and didn't leave until 10pm! We had a lovely meal ( the chef was a lovely bloke) the manager was the host with the most.. Everyone who worked there was friendly and efficient. And we spoke to the friendly locals like we went there all the time! The place has such a friendly atmosphere. Is clean ( plenty of sanitizer dotted about) and we loved the outside space too.. Will definitely re visit 😊 From the man who drank Newcastle Brown and his wife ( who drank water 💧)

A very lovely family friendly pub, with great atmosphere. Four legged friends are welcomed too. Very friendly staff. Without getting too overbearing, managed to keep my whole family entertained during our visit. Amazing food too. Overall British hospitality at its best! Something we all have missed during Pandemic. Would highly recommend a visit.

The atmosphere was good, bar staff were quick and efficient but it soon got to crowded, no matter where you stood you where in somebody's way. Saying that we still had a good night with no bother and the live music was great!

Lovely pub very friendly staff with a welcoming smile. Was our first time here and really enjoyed our evening with the live music. Will stop in for a drink again soon.
