Delicious food and friendly staff. Very small which means it’s never overcrowded with people, perfect. Would highly recommend.

I had the tofu katzu off the lunch menu to take away. Absolutely phenomenal. Spicier than I expected but delicious. Super speedy service. Limited seating but I wanted take out anyway. I’d highly recommend.

Food is an easy ten ten! Staff were so friendly. Wish there was more seating felt a little squished and was sat next to cleaning products.

This is great for a quick, easy, and delicious lunch. The staff are friendly and helpful and you don't have to wait long at all to get your meal. Not only that but the prices are amazing for Central Glasgow at around £7 for a full lunch bowl. Highly recommend!

Passed Bao many times and been intregued, so decided to try it when I missed my train a few weeks ago. I get migraines from MSG, so asked the bubbly waiting staff and they confirmed with the chefs, which dishes had "a little bit" and those that had no MSG at all. I ate Tempura Prawn (good portion, light crispy batter), also Roast Pork Bao (Tasty, though I would have liked 3 buns in the portion). The chilli and soya bean paste condiment was so tasty I ordered one of the traditional street food dishes to finish it off with, which arrived something like a sliced chicken schnitzel + salad and it was a decent portion size. It all went down nicely with a pot of Jasmine tea and I felt the price was reasonable overall. The food came fast and it was clear that visiting customers where their priority, even though they where busy putting out deliveries all the time. The most important part for me..no migraines afterwards. Well Done Bao, ill be back. Thank you!

Should have listened to the plastic cheese and hash brown warnings on here - when did they ever form part of a bao bun let alone one that was meant to be chicken katsu? Other dishes were equally bad - won’t be back!

I had chicken breast curry and chips. It deffo didn't taste like chicken and the chips were dead as if the day before. To top it all, I love the crunchy onions you usually get but I found 4 small bits of onion. Deffo won't be back. We used to go here quite a lot but not now.

Friendly informative staff. They explained how everything works and helped make your broth and sauce the way you wanted it. Perfect for a picky diner like me as I got to have my food exactly how I wanted. Can't wait to go back!

There is such a variation in the quality of Chinese food in Glasgow and I thought I would give Wokstar a try with no great expectations. However, the taste, quality and cost of their food far exceeds anything I have tried in years. I had heard from others that they were good so I was delighted that it was true….. The vegetable spring rolls are enormous, packed with delicious vegetables and authentic. We had a King Prawn curry, again excellent with some Satay sauce. In essence, this is now my favourite take away in Glasgow.

Best bakery in Glasgow! Ignore Byres Road and Great Western Road. This has delicious cakes and pastries. I highly recommend the custard bun and lotus/red bean paste mochi. Choices for halal and vegetarian, I'm not sure about vegan. Nestled in Chinatown you can get a meal at the restaurant next door and come here for dessert! I don't think they have the same owners but just a suggestion. I usually go to purchase my pastries from there either for breakfast or for birthday parties. They also sell birthday cakes which you can pre-order. Made in classic 90s, 00s and current style. You can get cakes made with fruits or without. I have been going here since I was 6 years old, when the Mandarin/Cantonese School was held at Stow College instead of Kelvin Collage. It was a brilliant atmosphere after school on a Saturday. Nowadays there aren't as many people so if you are looking for privacy you can find it here. There is a fireplace where you can keep warm and the staff are not overly friendly. Truly the best bakery in Glasgow.
