On a rather chilly October evening, waiting for our restaurant reservation, we came across an A board advertising the Bank Vault in a side street in the town centre. We were drawn to the 'Craft Beer' but ironically ended up ordering a Barti Rum! They had lots of choice- really pleasing to see lots of welsh beers both on tap and in the fridge. They had a stage set up as they were having a band in later. It was still early, so quite quiet. It wasn't a particularly 'cosy' vibe, despite the location being quite small. I think if you are really into your craft beer then it will be a great location to visit. I thought it was good value, £5.80 for 2 local rums on the rocks.

This is a sister pub to the Bottle and Barrel. Much prefer the latter. The Vault was almost empty and spotlit empty stage was a bit odd. Not a very big selection of beer.

What a great night. Small venue but it helped create an awesome atmosphere for the music and chatting. Bar stocks craft beer from across the UK and the band 'Albino Skunk' were very good, playing old time American folk music; banjo, fiddle, guitar and bass. Thank you, you were a highlight to our stay in Aberystwyth.

A real authentic chippy on the seafront! The option to get mini cod and chips was very welcome as I rarely manage a full fish and chips. It's not flashy inside, but it's a classic chippy with friendly and fairly quick service. Once you've got your food, you only have to cross the road and you're by the sea :)

Nice people, helpful, fast free wifi, big parking area. They also do food and B & B and are nicely placed for the coast, What's not to like?

Puzzlingly empty place that seemed to have a confused identity as a combined cafe/bar/restaurant. The food was actually very good; one of the best starters I've had in ages (Japanese tempura veg), and served promptly. Being a bar, it had my favourite drink, Crabbies, which you hardly ever find in restaurants, so that was a bonus. However the bored waitress seemed to think having no customers meant turning the radio up to 11 (some kind of horrific Saturday night jungle/drum n bass banging and shouting noise), which wasn't my idea of dining background music. With a bit of staff training and a marketing revamp, I'm sure the good food could bring some repeat business.
