I’ve been twice now and both times the food has been delicious - it’s fresh, tasty and something different. The cocktails are also lovely. Would recommend!

Wish we had found this place before now. What a superb venue and the food was delicious. The staff were excellent too. Can't wait to go back.

We had been excited to try this restaurant for dinner as we’d heard good things and were left severely disappointed. 3/4 of the menu was unavailable (no chicken, lamb or pork at all) which we weren’t told until after we had tried to order, then even after we had reordered out of the few remaining dishes our waitress came back to inform us they were out of those dishes too. The starters were average at best but the mains were terrible. I ordered the prawn rice which was bland and watery, my guess is microwaved at the state of the veg. The rice is advertised as coming with large shelled prawn on top of which there were none. My partner’s steak dish was a cheap cut, cold and incredibly basic coming with only overcooked pak choi (which still had the root) and a tiny serving of rice. The only positive about the food was that it came quickly, although I wish it hadn’t. As for the service we couldn’t so much as get a smile out of the waiters and had to go and search for them to ask for the bill just to see them sat around a table at the bar. As a chef and a waiter we have sympathy for busy nights, but with only a couple of other tables in the restaurant this was a shocking experience.

Me and my boyfriend went for a meal tonight at banh mi, it really was one of the best meals I’ve ever had. The staff were absolutely lovely the nicest staff I’ve had the pleasure of meeting! Such a lovely experience, amazing food, lovely staff, just amazing

Great food and good setting, sometimes run out of popular dishes quite quickly, but a good variety on the menu. Staff are always friendly and the decor is great! We have a been a few times where some of the drinks were available but there is a wide enough spread on the menu that means it doesn’t matter too much!

I’ve been to Banh Mi a number of times with my family and would highly recommend visiting. Food is fresh, tasty and reasonably priced. The staff are always friendly and cater for their diners. Keep up the great work Banh Mi team!

There was only one other table occupied when we arrived and they were already eating but it still took a good 5 minutes before we were offered a menu. Our drinks order wasn’t taken at that time, we had another wait for that. We actually had to ask for someone to take our food order as we were being ignored, despite being the only diners in the restaurant by then. The food was good when it arrived, but the staff seemed far too busy with takeaway orders, despite their website stating they didn’t do weekend takeaways. When we asked for a dessert menu, none was forthcoming. On asking again, we were told the only dessert on offer was ice cream. We paid our bill and left, we will not be returning.

The food here is good but the service was lacking. We went on a busy Friday night and waited a very long time for someone to take our food order. One of the servers spent about 7 mins taking an order from one table despite the place being full and people waiting to be served. They need more staff or at the very least more efficient staff. At 10pm most of the servers seemed to disappear as the kitchen shut down even though there were still a few tables of customers. We had fish curry (very spicy) and beef rending (delicious). The ambience is good and the place is attractive. It’s a shame the service wasn’t up to scratch

I was recommended this little place by my hairdresser, I was not disappointed. Lovely quirky little place with a real authentic atmosphere. The menu choice was great and the food was absouletely amazing. Such wonderful intense flavour, a great fusion of flavours and so different to any other places in the area.All ingredients fresh and of a high quality. It was a busy Friday but the staff were so busy seeing to everyone, the girls who looked after us all evening were fab. Definitely heading back to this little gem - we asked a member of staff for advice on where to go for drinks next as we were new to this area and we were recommended the Scruffy Duck - this was also a great visit and a lovely place to drink wine after a wonderful meal.

Booked Banh Mi for the wife's birthday. We chose a selection of starters to share followed by slow cooked char sui pork belly and star anise cured beef rendang. The food was excellent, full of flavour beautifully presented and we found everything to our liking and with the inclusion of drinks thought that is was very good value for money. The staff were friendly and helpful at all times, will definitely recommend to our friends and will be back again.

Have wanted to try this place since we noticed it a few months ago. We decided to go with friends and we all love good tasty food. It did not disappoint! Easy to book online with no hassle (which I love). Wonderful yet simple menu, great attentive service, wonderful choice of drink and… the food is delicious! Would highly recommend and we will be back!

We arrived for our booking at 5.30pm and the place seemed to already be in chaos. We should have gone with our instincts at that point and walked away. We eventually received our very average starters, but after an hour and twenty minutes there was still no sign of our main courses. At that point, we paid for what we’d had and left. Thanks for a ruined evening, Banh Mi. I hope others have more luck.
