Bangkok Thai Restaurant in Fylde

The food was reasonably good but really not very hot. The sizzling beef was far from sizzling, barely warm. But the most disappointing was the service which was terrible. Dinners did not get served together, had to wait quite some time for our 4th plate to arrive and by then, the rice, which was already only slightly warm, was quite cold. We did get another when I pointed this out but it still was not very hot. Empty beer bottles not taken away, used plates not taken until we asked. A very disappointing evening and none of us will be going back.

Excellent food quality and quantity was bang on. Our server 'Jasmin' was attentive and professional couldn't fault the service. Will definitely be returning. Five star food Five star service

Food is not up to usual Thai food standards. The beef massaman is made from frying steak rather than traditional slow cooked beef and there was no potatoes. My husband ordered the red curry, it was so salty it almost killed him! We were not made to feel very welcomed by the lady in charge, in fact it was almost like we were an inconvenience being there. Definitely won’t be going again.

Such good food, excellent service. Been many times, always so enjoyable. Immaculate restaurant, love it here. A must in Lytham!

What an amazing restaurant. Family run, with the friendliest people and amazing food. We found this place whilst walking through Lytham this weekend and I am so glad we did. The staff are brilliant and so friendly. The food is absolutely brilliant, so much so we were in Lytham for 2 nights over the festival weekend when everywhere is rammed, so we decided to go back for a second night and try more of the menu. We all had different mains and they were all so tasty and plentiful. 100% recommend popping in here if you are in town.

Called the on off chance of a table and the waitress was very accommodating setting up a new table for us. Helpful with the menu and we had a delicious meal. Not too spicy and all served hot. Would definitely revisit on our next visit.

Amazing experience! So many choices. Had a selection of starters,all of which were incredible. The main was absolutely amazing and chips were crispy and fluffy. Staff were friendly and helpful. Fully recommend to anyone . Perfectly located as well !

Came here with a few friends and had such a great time here. The staff are super friendly, from what I've heard it's family run, the food was superb and the aesthetic of the place makes for a relaxing experience. There is so much choice for great food, you will end up taking stuff home, which is what we all ended up doing and it tastes just as good the day after. Definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for great Thai food. Thank you for a wonderful experience. I will definitely be coming back here with my other half.

The best Thai I’ve ever been too!!!Staff are friendly and very attentive. There’s wide range of food on the menu which was amazing! It’s hard to decide what I wanted !! Would definitely recommend and would definitely visit with more friends!!!

Had been recommended so after a night at Lowther Pavillion went to check it out. I had chicken satay, beef massaman and jasmine rice, my husband had the ribs and duck pad Thai. All came out extremely hot and all was delicious. Will definitely go again.

Had a takeaway recently, something we've done many times, but not since before New Year. I'm sad to say that, although it was ready on time, it wasn't as good as our previous times.

Absolutely shockingly bad!! Sat down in an empty restaurant. Had to ask if we could order a drink but… before that had to ask the young tool behind the bar to stop swearing as he was telling his mate about how he’d threatened to fight an old guy on a bud who’d challenged him for smoking. We anticipated a total let down so got up to leave but I asked them who the owner was. It turned out he was sat down behind me but he didn’t give a s@&t when I challenged him. This place used to be great but something has happened. Don’t go.

Last night I went to the Bangkok Thai. I don't know what has happened, but all I can think of is that the family have left the daughter in charge. No usual staff and the two male servers seemed confused about everything. I was charged an extra pound for bean curd, which meant this was the same price as a meat dish, and all I got were four very small pieces of bean curd. My partners noodles were under cooked and overcooked at the same time. I certainly wouldn't recommend this Thai restaurant at the moment, unless it improves to the level it was previously.

All the food was lovely and tasty. Restaurant had a good atmosphere. The service was good. I would highly recommend that you go here.

Service brilliant Staff lovely and attentive, a lovely young lady with a cheeky grin and a personality that was top notch. Chicken satay and prawn on toast starters Yellow chicken curry and vegetable stir fry along with nice cool beers. Second visit in last 2 months as it is quite a way from us in Bolton, but whenever visiting Lytham it's now our go to restaurant. We were even treated to some BBQ ribs and praw crackers to take home as a treat. Thanks so much yummy.

We recently visited for my birthday having heard some good things about the food, we travelled in from Preston. We are both so glad we did, the food was absolutely delicious, it isn't often that you can get really nice Thai food, it seems to be a bit niche but we definitely found it here. We couldn't fault a single thing we had - not that we were looking for any. The service was great and the price was very reasonable too. Do yourself a favour and check this place out.

Nearly thirty quid for a takeaway for two most of which went in the bin. Vegetable dishes very very over cooked. Burnt rather than fried and boiled to oblivion. Sweet and sour very watery . Chicken in main dish absolutely tasteless. Ditto for the wings...

Spent a couple of nights in Lytham St Annes as an alternative to a trip abroad - weather clearly not as good as Spain but the welcome here made up for it. Lovely welcoming staff, great food - the coconut soup was outstanding. Would recommend

If you’re visiting Lytham then you absolutely must try this little gem. If you’re a local then you are extremely fortunate to have such an amazing Thai restaurant on your doorstep. Amazing food served by very attentive staff.

We had dinner here and the food was lovely, I loved the dim sum and prawn toast. We had a penang curry which was amazing and some noodles although I wasn't so keen on the noodles, they were too tomatoey for my preference. Staff were friendly and the place was clean.

We visited the Bangkok (for the first time) with 6 friends on a Friday night as the first arrivals but then several groups arrived until the restaurant was quite full. The staff were very welcoming and efficient and we soon had drinks and our orders taken. The starters arrived within 10 minutes which was excellent considering we all had different orders, similarly with the main courses despite the restaurant was virtually full by then. The food itself was excellent and very tasty without being over-spicy; it was definitely somewhere we would try another time.

Regular user of the takeaway service and often go for a sit down meal also. Consistency is great and we have never had a bad meal.

Called in here tonight (13/10/19) on my way home for my first and last visit. I ordered a Prawn Pad Thai with chicken to then get home and find no chicken in. Not only that it was more sweet and sour then Pad Thai. Tried to pay with card to then have a very small notice pulled out saying no card under £15 this should be clear before placing order. Staff Avery briefly described where cash point is. Won’t be back but good for what it was which is not what I ordered.

As locals, we have visited all the restaurants in Lytham several times; Bangkok is undoubtedly the best in terms of quality of food and excellence of service.

It is the first time that I have visited this local Thai restaurant, and what an experience. My wife and I started with a sharing platter followed by a duck green curry with bamboo shoots and a chicken satay type dish with coconut rice. The food was excellent, well cooked, and fresh, and served by very friendly and attentive staff. The place was buzzing, with most tables taken as early as 7pm. Overall a great experience and will be revisiting again soon.

Went there with 8 men friends for birthday meal and boy did we get looked after . The service was superb and the food was exquisite , Cannot praise it enough we all had different dishes and sampled each others .Very reasonably priced .

We have returned to The Bangkok on a number of occasions and have never been disappointed. The quality of food and its presentation is second to none. The staff are extremely friendly and courteous providing very good service. The restaurant also has a lovely ambience.

4 of us ate here last night and the service, food and atmosphere was fantastic. All the dishes (we had the set menu) were tasty and plentiful, in fact, enough for 6 really. Would definitely recommend and return.

We came here after a recommendation and because we needed somewhere that serviced late. We had fish cakes and chicken satay a for starters, wouldn't recommend the fish cakes they were a very odd texture. We ordered prawn pad Thai, red curry, green curry, massaman curry. The curries were yummy and a good level of spice. The pad Thai was not great... too much tomato ketchup in it. It was a very typical take away style Thai reasturant.

Food is outstanding, we shared the mixed starter it was cooked to perfection and so so tasty!

We went with friends for a Friday night out in Lytham, we decided to go to Bangkok and I'm glad we did, the food was excellent, service great, atmosphere buzzing, what a hidden gem amongst many tip top places to eat in Lytham, we will go again ASAP.

A fantastic little restaurant with great service and atmosphere - very popular - the food was outstanding and you could tell it was cooked to order. Six people ate 6 different meals and all of us had nothing bad to say we all thoroughly enjoyed our meal and will be going again soon.

We did not have a reservation, but staff found us a table. Tasty dishes served all enjoyed by us. Would recommend.

Eaten here several times now. The meals are always excellent as is the service. Just a pity there are no toilets downstairs as my friend is disabled.

We had to change our venue and booked this at the last minute. We had a poor meal the day before so was hoping this place would live up yo the good reviews. We weren't disappointed! As soon as we walked i there was a good atmosphere and the staff were very cheerful and friendly. The only reason I haven't given it 5 stars is that I was disappointed with the Fish Cakes, the other starters were all lovely though. All our main meals were delicious and when my husband said he would like his a bit hotter they bought some chillis to the table so he could add more spice. Great evening and will definitely g back and recommend to others.

This was our second visit here and yet again it was fantastic. We actually live over 40 miles away but we planned our day to make sure we ended eating here.

Collected a takeaway and staff seemed knowledgable about the menu and made some good suggestions. Quick polite service would order again

Started very nice, lovely resturat, clean, and the menus looked divine. Food was very enjoyable until about an hour after we had finished our meal. Luckily my husband decided to drive home as the food poisoning started to kick in on the way home. I spent the remainder of the evening with the worse vomiting and diaoreah. My husband's started the following morning. Thankfully none of our children were sick which leads us to belive it was either the duck or chicken wings, neither of which our children ate. The latter being rushed out to us as they were forgotten off our order. Such a shame as we thought we had found a nice Thai restaurant.

A group of us came at a weekend and it was busy. We ordered mixed starters and main courses and left feeling over full. All the food was excellent, I had a chicken red curry with rice which was all perfect. When we visit next time it's unlikely we'll order anything like as much food as there was easily enough to go around.

Came here last night.Nice little restaurant which was quite busy for a Monday night in January.Had the scallops which were perfectly cooked.The prawns in batter were very nicely cooked with just enough coating and a sweet dipping sauce.All in all a very pleasurable night will definitely visit again.10/10

We came here on Friday evening and I am glad we booked a table as it was very busy. Service was very efficient and when the food arrived on the plates it did look nice with the carrots shaped into flowers. The garlic mushrooms were undercooked and the portion size for the price was small. I had chow mein to follow and the first 2 mouthfuls were nice, however, it tasted unusually sweet and then started to become very sickly. I have never known chow mein to taste like this and although I ate it, I would not want to experience it again. My husband had jungle curry and he likes spicy dishes but he advised it was very bland. Overall I think the food was just not to our taste and we would not visit again but it is worth noting that the restaurant was full so other people must enjoy it!

This restaurant is situated down a side street in Lytham. It offers a cosy atmosphere and the service was very good. The menu is predominantly Thai with the odd Chinese dish. Food came to the table very quickly, so I don’t believe that food is made from scratch. I ordered sweet and sour, which was average. My dad ordered chow mein which he really enjoyed. The presentation was nice and there is wine by the glass if you don’t want a bottle.

Superb Thai food and great value, got to be one of the best in the UK, will definitely visit again when next in the area.

I went to a Bangkok Thai with 3 friends for my birthday. Service was excellent. Food very reasonably priced, I can honestly say the Thai red curry is the best I’ve ever tasted. I would definitely recommend a visit, totally worth it! Great atmosphere, great food, great se4vice. Thank you x

Never eaten in but always go here for take away. Always have a lovely meal, and are willing to drive a 40 min round trip to collect it- which says a lot I think. Pad Thai is lovely as are the satay mushrooms and spring rolls. Husbands loves the soup, ribs and curries.

This place is a lovely little restaurant and the food is amazing! We have had both takeaway and a sit in meal from this place and the quality is equally as high either way. The staff are very polite and attentive.

From the menu to the food itself, we felt like we were back in Chiang Mai but without the jet lag. And we only had a takeaway - we look forward to going out to dinner there soon. Beautiful food.

Went on Wednesday with a work colleague and then today with my girlfriend . Food and service amazing! Good size portions , I like my food spicy and they brought over some special chillier! Wow! Not for the weak minded. Don’t miss out on this jewel of lytham . Our server Franci was attentive and helpful and a pleasure .

We hadn’t been to the restaurant for 6 months but had told friends how nice it was so we went with them last week and were not disappointed. The presentation and quality of food was excellent as was the customer service. A must to try.

We can be a little difficult to serve as my wife is gluten intolerant and i’m allergic to shellfish, Im pretty resigned to having little choice in some restaurants especially when the cuisine is pretty much shellfish based however my beef somethingorother was really sweet and not at all palatable. Seems to me that in this gluten intolerant world there would be something other than garlic mushrooms for my wife to have as a starter, but no thats the only GF starter and not at all pleasant ! She did however have lots of choice for main course and chose the scallops which as it turned out were tiny and overcooked.

Four of us went here last Sunday and the food was great, the staff where very friendly, I had the Thai Green Chicken curry, it was hot and spicy, great, in fact the four of us all really enjoyed all our meals, there is a down side though, the price of drinks was way over priced, we had three bottled beers (they had none on draught) which were around half a pint and it was well over £10, if they had been sensibly priced we would have a more to drink and enjoyed our overall experience, however on principle we declined and left, would I go again, yes, but only for a takeaway.

I booked for 15 people for my birthday night out and what a brilliant time we had! Our table was further back in the restaurant which felt like our very own private room and it fit 15 of us easily. The service was brilliant from start to finish the staff were there when you needed and then gave us enough space to chat and enjoy our food. The food is so tasty and cooked to perfection. With 15 people ordering varied meals we got to see a lot of different dishes and they all looked so good. At the end of the meal the restaurant had organised a birthday cake for me which was such a lovely touch and a perfect way to finish the evening. I would definitely recommend a visit to this place as they made us feel so welcome and like valued customers. We shall definitely be back!

So we visited Bangkok Thai and wow what a place. on first glance it's nothing to be thrilled about in lytham standards. However how wrong was I, the food service and ambience was fantastic we had the set meal c with extra duck in black bean sauce thinking there would be small potions well you could of fed a small army with what we got.each dish was perfect fragrant flavourful and morish the Thai coconut soup was to die for to the point you would have to go back just for that. The sea bass perfectly cooked with the seafood dish outstanding. If you want a treat that won't break the bank this place hits all the buttons will be returning superb

This restaurant is tucked away off a side street in Lytham but when you enter, it is like a little piece of Thailand. There are lovely wall hangings and beautiful flowers on the tables, plus we received a very warm welcome. We were seated at the back of the restaurant which had a lovely wooden ceiling and nice lighting.

The Bangkok is my favourite restaurant in Lytham and I enjoy it so much that I eat there most weekends. I've taken my family there twice now and they've really enjoyed it.

Ate here twice while in the area. Unbelievable doesn’t quite describe how amazing this place was. Possibly the best Thai Green Curry I’ve ever eaten. Great cosy atmosphere and attentive staff - but not over intrusive. My only very minor complaint was the portion of rice could have been bigger given the ratio of sauce (but that could just be me)!

This is a fantastic restaurant. I had a duck curry with potatoes and cashew nuts which was delicious. The service was excellent.

Arrived back to Lytham following meetings and decided to drop in for an impromptu meal. The staff were warm & welcoming, gave us space to decide what we were going to order, and were attentive enough to bring drinks and to offer advise on the menu.

I visited the restaurant with my husband and 15 year old daughter on Mothers day, this was our first visit and it definitely wont be the last! Lovely restaurant with fab service and very pleasant staff. The food was stunning, very tasty and hot. I Cannot wait to return!

This was our very first visit (it won't be our last). We booked, which is recommended as it was busy. We were given a choice of table. We were given enough time to decide what we wanted to drink. The starter we chose was a mixed platter, oh my goodness, it was rather large and totally delicious. We both chose a signature dish. Both dishes were beautifully presented along with coconut rice. The whole meal was just fabulous. The restaurant staff were attentive, the food was super delicious, the service as just right. Thank you Bangkok Thai, we'll be back.

Ate here for a family meal. The food was the best Thai I have ever experienced. Service and staff all very helpful and we didn't wait ages to be served.

We were told that this was worth a visit and it didn’t disappoint. Pleasant relaxed atmosphere, equally so the Staff. We had the mixed starter for two and everything was clearly home made and fresh. I had duck in a spicy broth with noodles which was described as 3 chilli spiced but was nowhere near that hot. My wife had Thai green chicken curry and rice, which was really pleasant and turned out to be spicier than mine. All in all well worth a visit. The only slight criticism is that we found the wine expensive for the very average quality. Good authentic feel to the food.

We are so excited to have found this Thai restaurant. Since Banthai closed in St Anne’s we have struggled to find really good Thai food. ( until now)!!!

The restaurant does not look much from the outside and I had passed many times, thinking it was a tiny place, however it extends into a large room at the back. The menu outside does not advertise they serve beancurd, which I think is a mistake as they are missing out on the veggie market, but fear not it is definitely on the menu inside. The staff are lovely, welcoming and helpful. They go out of their way to make sure you are happy with the food and suggest dishes that you may like. The cuisine is authentic and portions are a good size and the atmosphere is great. Every time I have been it has always been busy, and obviously popular with the locals, which is a good sign. I would highly recommend a visit here.

As a first visit we opted for a set menu to sample a range of dishes. Overall we were very impressed with quality and quantity of the food and also the helpful and friendly staff. Looking forward to our next visit and a further exploration of the menu.
