Bamboo Gardens in Luton

The lady who answers the phone has a very rude manner, as if I’m irritating her by ordering. I asked for the food to be well done and she reluctantly said okay. I get the peppercorn chicken wings and they’re slimey and not how I liked them. I called twice with the request to make sure they were well done, and felt sick after eating. Been coming for years but won’t be coming again. Disconnect between her and the chefs? Disappointed.

Lovely food, always consistant been coming here over 30yrs. No where else in Luton to match it. Not sure whats changed recently but food is not as good. New chef maybe? Their fried rice has always been clean and white, not at all greasy, not my last order. Chicken balls were stodgy, sesame prawn toast very greasy. I am hoping it goes back to normal soon!

Came in today (7/4/24) and the girl on the front desk had no people skills. Face on her like a slapped backside, no greeting, no smile just overall has a bad vibe. Off putting for customers as she’s the first person they see/speak to on the phone and her energy was not it. Food was okay, fresh and hot which was nice but in terms of flavour there wasn’t much. Overall was neither bad or good was okay.

Easily the best Chinese takeaway in and around Luton. Tried most of them, I am sure.

Food ok but very overpriced compared to what it used to be, so much so I thought I’d walked into a takeaway in soho at these prices !! check out the new fashion of pricing on the menu for example every king prawn dish is 10.0 why not 9.95 ? And what’s with the random stainless steel unit parked in the doorway and the plastic screens that are still erected ? It’ll be a long time before I return as I’ll have to save up ! Cheaper and better in the area.

Not great, just okay. Sauces weren’t particularly flavoursome and the sweet & sour smelled like tomato soup and had a tomatoey taste to it which wasn’t overly nice. The chicken balls batter wasn’t crispy, it was a bit cakey. The best thing was the chilli beef which was crispy and once mixed with the sauce in the tin, was v tasty. Chow mein was fine. Good value, mediocre food. Wouldn’t go again. Only came here because Blossom Garden in Luton was shut (hands down the best Chinese I’ve ever had).

Best Chinese I have ever had, it cannot be compered to any other takeaway in luton! Been a client for a few years now, and I will not change my chow main for nothing!

My first time ordering food from here today. Took me a while to get through on the phone to put my order in. But well worth the wait. What a find. The food was fresh, tasty and plentiful. Really enjoyed it. It's so hard to find good quality, halal, Chinese food thats clean and doesn't leave you feeling heavy after. Can't recommend enough. Just note, parking can be a bit of an issue to collect your delicious order! Only the chicken is halal!!

So bad. Ordered to collect at 9 and so by the time we were eating they were closed and couldn't call to follow up about 20 minutes later. One dish was fridge cold so assume you just forgot to heat it up so that says alot about the food quality. Ate some of the duck and the fried rice and that was it...couldn't stomach anymore out of a £41 order. Who are these people reviewing you...?

We've used George for over 20 years now and have yet to find a better Chinese takeaway. Top quality flavoursome dishes, always hot and their consistency is outstanding. Highly recommended.

Good food, but nightmare to order. Phone always engaged, so we decided to go and order over the counter as we couldn't get through on the phone, the young ladies were rude and wouldn't allow this even though we were there and they only do collection. Very strange so they've lost our custom. They will also not give change if paying by cash, need right amount. Maybe the owner needs to revise this?

Lived in luton my whole life. Eaten from 10 different chinese food places and none can ever come close to bamboo garden. All the dishes are so good and addictive. Would happily drive accross town any time for this food.

Very good Chinese takeaway that I've been coming to for over 32yrs! The flavours & quality of the food is good and it can be very busy most nights so I would recommend calling ahead and ordering prior to visiting there

Absolutely fabulous ,both food and service

My mum came to visit us for a couple of days, mum used to live in luton but recently moved up north. We all said we fancied a chinese but wasnt sure where to get it from. Mum said have you tried bamboo garden,down where pj shoes used to be- tbh I had not heard of the place. Mum ordered the food and OMG it was delicious. Everything tasted great, all fresh and hot. Each dish tasted unique. It really was the best chinese I have had in years. So glad I have found it and will become one of their favourite customers.

As above there is not a lot I can say apart from the fact the food is great and always hot good choices we always have a meal once a week as we know that the quality of the food we order will be high I would recommend this take away one of the best in Luton.

I usually go there after I've washed my clothes as the laundrette next door, and the food and service is top notch. People travel from quite far away to come here. It says a lot. They do English food as well if you fancy something different, a good variety.

I will only order from this Chinese, it is always fresh and tastes amazing! Highly recommend the sweet shredded chicken, I’ve never tasted anything like it before! Once you order from this Chinese you will never want to go elsewhere again!

One of the best Chinese takeaways you can get in the town. I usually order the singapore rice noodles as its one of my favourite dishes from here but everything else on the menu is appetising.

Los precios son ligeramente más altos que otros para llevar en la zona. La comida es mediocre. Las porciones son un poco escaso; el pollo schezwan no tienen mucho pollo y salsa era muy finas. Sólo bueno era sabía bien. De nuevo, el pollo al curry de pollo no tienen mucho más que cebolla. Mayor decepción fue el pelotas de pollo que eran muy duras en el exterior, pero era muy duro en el interior que sugirió que había sido en el congelador.

Es un jardín de bambú chino para llevar. Están en bishopscote rd pero tienen clientes de viajes de Luton de pueblos de los alrededores para obtener su comida increíble. No estoy seguro de cuántos llevar que pasarían a llegar allí!

La única pega es la espera tan teléfono su pedido y conseguir un tiempo realista para recoger (no entrega). La comida siempre es excelente y siempre tienen un montón de existencias. Hemos estado usando este llevar durante más de 20 años y nunca dejar.

Been going to bamboo gardens for years always get a nice takeaway from there they always remember you in there to the only thing that I will say is I had a wrong order given to me instead of them bringing it to me like they should I had to take it all the way back the only upside was he let me

I have used this chinese for years and have never had a problem, we do place big ordets as we are a big family we all love the food, but the last couple of times I have ordered and been told on the phone 45 mins only to arrive and sit in there for a further 40 mins waiting on my order, I appreciate that this is probably because they are busy, but either refuse the order and let me go somewhere else or give a better estimation of time please

The best in luton. Great customer service. It is a must try. This take away is my fav chioce of take away food. It is a family owned and run business. They do not deliver but it is well worth the trip.

I'm new to the area so wasn't sure where to to go for a Chinese and when I read all the ranting and raving about this Chinese I had to give it a try. To be fair the food is good but I wouldn't say it was anything special. Their food can't be that great if they can't be bothered with their health & hygiene standards. Would have got 4 star review but let down by their 3 star "Score on the Doors" at the time of my visit.

The taste of the food here is fantastic! I travel a couple times from the midlands to have a take away here. Just thinking about the food makes my mouth water!The quality is maintained for every visit. My favourite and No.1 takeaway.PS. try the chilli chips

My family and I love chinese food but can only eat from here. It is by far the best chinese food. I wish they did seaweed though. You must eat here if you are looking for chinese food. It is so delicious. Never had any problems in the 20 years i have been eating from here.
