Bamanoosh Persian Kitchen in Kingston upon Thames

My partner and I went for a quick spot of lunch, service is excellent, didn't have to wait long at all and the food is value for money, large portion, lunch menu grilled chicken kebab that came with rice and salad and the chilli sauce condiment is delicious - highly recommend

Six of us visited this restaurant on 11th, a first for us all. We loved it! From the atmospheric interior to the delicious and interesting dishes and the quietly efficient service , it deserves its full quota of stars. It was a Sunday evening and very busy, as it deserves to be. The starters are superbly flavoured, the main courses very large and could easily be shared by two people are equally filled with flavour and quality ingredients. A very lucky discovery for us and we shall return asap.

I expected a warm welcome and service being a Persian restaurant, non existent warmth and wooden non smiling or welcoming service. Food just average, presentation good, ok looking place, but the heavy atmosphere of as if they are doing us a favour and kind of arrogant, made everything good not be so good, did not enjoy my visit and won't go back

Awful. I placed an order via deliveroo in error. I called straight away to cancel and they told me they cannot do that. Two hours later after some going back and forth between Deliveroo and the restaurant they told me they will prepare my order. Never ever.

Best Persian food ever My husband ordered Mamtaz with rice and I ordered Chicken jujeh kabab with broad bean rice and an extra Salad Shirazi Both meals were really tasty and fresh. Staff were very attentive, we will definitely return and bring Family and friends. Superb ambiance friendly staff Nothing was too much trouble We loved it

My friend and I went to this restaurant and it was an extremely disappointing experience. The food was terrible, the waitress was extremely rude and when we told the owner he didn’t do anything. An aubergine starter was advertised on the menu as having yoghurt but it was goat’s cheese and when we queried this nothing was done. The food was poor, even the chips were over fried. The portions are huge and the food is overpriced. They need to focus on quality & not quantity. Don’t go!

Great meal. Saw this place on Gary Eats channel on Youtube. Amazing Persian naan, Kashk Bademjan was best I had ever tried. Attentive service and lovely chat with owner. Free tea, creamed dates and sweets to go home with. Will be back again when less full.

My husband and I visited Bamanoosh last night. The decor of the restaurant is beautiful and reflects Iranian culture. The food was delicious and the service was very friendly, we will most definitely be back!

My server Shila was very kind to me and my family! She definitely deserves a promotion I enjoyed my experience and it was even better with Shila she made my day!

We have eaten at Persian restaurants before, so came across this one and booked for lunch. The interior is wonderful, it smells great and is cosy and very authentic. The staff were excellent throughout the whole meal, seating us next to some interesting food items that can be bought to take home. I had the chicken soup for starters, it was delicious, so full of flavour and a generous portion. The chicken with different kinds of rice was amazing, steaming hot, it just fell apart and the rice it was hidden under was full of berries and tasted like nothing I’ve ever tasted before. The tea was in a pot sitting over a warmer and stayed hot the entire time. Incredible price for the standard of food. Will be coming back for sure. What a find.

Disappointing evening. The food was good, although what was advertised as chicken leg was in fact chicken breast which was a shame as I'd have ordered something else had they said. The main issue though was the service, the staff were friendly but not attentive and for large parts of the evening we were forgotten, we had to spend several minutes trying to catch an eye every time we wanted service. Its a shame as it is clearly a popular place and mos of the food was really good.

We used to regularly get take outs from this restaurant when it was mostly a take out venue, but today, I took my mum for a meal there. They have transformed the interior into a restaurant with plenty of tables in different spaces. I had the Makhsous Kabab (1 skewer of lamb filet, 1 skewer of Koubideh mince) . It was the best I have had in a very long time. There was enough for two, but it was so good that I ate the whole lot. It was quiet at lunchtime, so service was attentive and friendly.

It was refreshing to see a Persian restaurant with some different dishes on the menu. The highlight included a ‘dizi’ which is a hearty Persian stew served in clay pots. The Persian kebabs were juicy and full of flavour. An accidental find, but we’ll be back again very soon.

Food was not good as I expected and not cooked well, waste of money and time, it used to be my favourite restaurant, shame , not any more….😏

Being Persian myself I am very critical of Persian food that is served in the restaurants , and rarely enjoy it . However I was pleasantly surprised when I went with my friends to Bamanoish for dinner . The food was excellent and plentiful, my congratulation to the chef for the excellent authentic Persian food we had . The staff were kind , friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming . The music was just the right volume . We experienced a very pleasant evening and all my friends said they loved the food . We will go there again and are planing to book our Xmas dinner party there too. Fay Clough

I’ve eaten twice here and took my kids last night. Both times I had a delicious meal and found the staff friendly and welcoming and I felt quite relaxed and under no pressure. I’d recommend the baclava which is to die for. I will be back.

Better than any other Persian restaurant I’ve tried in the UK! Lovely atmosphere and the food was absolutely delicious. The staff were so lovely and helpful, the waitress even held my baby while we ate!

We really enjoyed our meal : starters were tasty and cooked beautifully and so were the mains. However, we were sat down but no menus were brought to us. We had to ask after waiting. We waited for ages for food, nobody cleared away our empty starter dishes. We had to do that ourselves when the waiter brought our mains. We ordered 2 nans and we were given one. We had to ask whether they had any desserts. We can’t fault the food , truly delicious but the service was poor and it did add an element of stress to the experience which we did not welcome.

Got a table from walking in from street on a Tuesday night. Male staff was good, female staff more interested in chatting with each other. Ordered a Momtaz (chicken kebab skewer, lamb kofte skewer, rice and salad). The plate of food was big, mostly rice and really tasty. Eating on my own but still had a service charge added to my bill. No alcohol served as they do not have a licence.

Loved it . It was suggested by a friend who had been a couple of times before . A good menu with a sensible number of options. We went for a bit of everything and we were not disappointed. Very friendly not too big with indoor and outdoor seating. Loads of products for sale as well. It will get busy later in the evening so an early start should see you get a table. I’d certainly go again!

Some of the best Persian food you will eat! Make a booking to eat in the restaurant. Most of the customers both times I have eaten have been Iranian so tells you a lot about the authenticity and quality. Service from Ellie is good too!
