Ballumbie Castle Golf Club in Dundee City

We were there for a family function, a good sized space for about 50/60 people, good bar and the staff were nice too.

Funeral catering was excellent, staff very friendly and helpful thank you for all your help

I delivered a Amazon parcel here, it was so exciting.

Enjoyable day regardless of the amount of water lying around. Course in surprisingly good condition considering the recent weather

Brilliant driving range with Toptracer screens in each bay.

Some tricky holes but it was very enjoyable and tested you.

The course is well kept and the greens were running well. There is a lot of walking between the holes equating to about 20 minutes of our round. The back 9 is pretty cramped. The 13th tee is completely covered in artificial grass with nowhere to put the tee into, never experienced that before on a par 4.

Friendly club shop able to get all the things golf related you could need.

Have been to Ballumbie for a meal on a number occasions and I have always had a nice meal with friendly service. Recently went there to try the hanging kebabs with friends and the kebab was very tasty with a good choice of sides. They had a good selection of cocktails on their menu and throughly enjoyed my time here. Will definitely be back.

Turned up for family meal with 8 month old baby. To have 30+ young adults drinking heavy no meals broken glass just missed our baby. Emailed manager Allan to be offered a 50% off good will gesture no thanks. Was removed from there social media page so speaks volumes. Very bad management, avoid this restaurant.

First time playing this course and really enjoyed it. A good course to go around but there is some extra walking between some holes.

Needs abit updating, toilets are smelly, and the price for drinks was quite expensive seeing as it's a clubby, also when we bought drinks the amount changed everytime!!

We recently held our Golden Wedding Anniversary here, in the Club's function room. It holds up to approx. 50 diners, however even with nearer 30 guests we felt it was a perfect size for dining and dancing. The event was organised beforehand with the help of Emma, who was very welcoming, professional and obliging. On the evening of our celebration, management was handled efficiently by Michelle and Jess (who always had smiles on their faces). The buffet meal was exceptional, timeously prepared and provided delicious and plentiful food served by their competent chef, Damian. The DJ that they provided kept us up on our feet the whole evening (thanks Shaun) and we were sorry to have to leave at the end of a perfect night. It is also very good value for money.

Golf course is surrounded by building sites and residential housing....the whole course feels crammed in and a bit claustrophobic....not worth the 30 quid we paid on Golf Now to be honest...some interesting holes though....

Was at 60th birthday party. All nicely fitted out. Entertainment available. Car park a bit dodgy. Ground very uneven.

Had a meal in the restaurant at Ballumbie Golf Club , had the carvery , good choice of both meats and veg and at all you can eat was well worth the money , this is a 2 course meal we had the apple pie and cream ,Im not a great pudding fan but this was delicious , will defo be booking for next time , staff as always very helpful and attentive . Well done to you all keep up the good work and hopefully be back soon

Didn't get the full experience, winter greens, frosty and freezing. Otherwise nice. Good in the summer i'd imagine.

Very, very loud bunch of guys in the bar, shouting and swearing, bar staff should have had a word, the restaurant was very cold, beer was great, service great

Great place for a practice at the driving range.

Range can do with a glow up , also needs new tees and more targets to aim for.

First year really playing golf and thoroughly enjoyed my rounds at the course..Hopefully still many more rounds this year..

Would have been a fire star rating but had to repair 4 or 5 pitch marks on each green as I played.

First time I have played the course,loved the layout,club looks like a great local hub,will be back.

Waited ages for tasteless undercooked food . Used to praise the previous caterer - this one will have to up his game.

Great driving range and golf course. Just make sure you can hit the ball straight as there's a lot of houses along the fairways.

Course in good condition and you are always receive a warm welcome.

The food is very tasty and good value for money. Also the staff are really friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend the Balumbie Castle Golf Club.

It was very plain I used the disabled toilet the floor boards were slack but the service in the bar was good

Used driving range - 50 balls £4.50, more expensive than my home club. Range itself run down and basic, not a lot to offer out front. Means to an end only.

Course well presented and staff excellent! Good value for our 12 man golf outing!

The restaurant, when open, is excellent and I'd give a 5-star rating If it had more regular hours :) Well worth a visit. The course its self is a cracking golf course.

I have just returned from ballumbie golf club which was in great condition which is a credit to green keeping staff. A big thanks to Jackie and her staff for her help with a lovely breakfast and well presented home cooked lunch. A great place for days golf.

Great course with driving range and club house. I was there for golf outing and were treated well, good bacon roll and coffee to start. The course is well maintained with good greens. Very hilly with some very long walks between holes. A buggy might be a good idea. The driving range was well laid out and different targets to aim for. I would recommend this place.

Good venue for group golf outings, course in really good nick but do be aware the greens are tough and be prepared to three putt a lot of them. The bar and restuarant are what you would expect to find from a clubhouse and there is an outside balcony. It's comfortable and friendly and the staff are great. A lot of families turn up of a Sunday afternoon to enjoy a meal when the carvery is on.

When I heard that a round was going to cost £20, I must say that I wasn’t expecting too much. How wrong you can be. From the great view on the elevated first tee, it was a wonderful experience. Some very tight holes, a couple of water hazards and lots of tough bunkers. Watch out for the 18th green. A misplaced shot will find a very deep bunker. Staff in the clubhouse and golf shop were very welcoming. All in all, an excellent day’s golf.

Played this course many times over the past 10 years. It was in the best condition that I've ever seen. Really enjoyable round on a course that's never been better in my opinion.

Course was good. We hired two buggies both had rubbish in them when we got them. One was on very low power by hole 14 and was jerky the whole way in.

Used to be great. Lads in the pro shop are great but the main groundskeeper has given me lip on multiple occasions.

The Driving range is in need of a little T L C but is adequate for what is on offer

Great food and family atmosphere. Would recommend the Sunday carvery and the steak pie is amazing.

Had a two course lunch with my family on Saturday. Food was freshly prepared and fantastic. Highly recommend the steak pie. Lovely desserts too. Owner very friendly and could not do enough for us. Even offered to cook off menu if there was something we particularly wanted. Good choice of food at a very reasonable price. Will definitely be going back.

Had a few visits to here on a Sunday for the Buffett carvary superb food and great price, well worth a visit

One of the nicest meals I've had in a while. The food was superb. Fish was tender and perfectly crispy. The staff were great Both the chef and the guy behind the bar were friendly and could accommodate us enough. Will be back 5*

Amazing carvery £15 a head . Beautifully cooked . Choices of home made steak pie , macaroni, also three different roasts and all the trimmings. Deserts lovely home made Apple crumble and custard. Went to a private function there. Too crowded, uncomfortable. DJ was playing music far too loud to try to encourage people to dance? But it would have been difficult to get to the small dance floor through the table, chairs and people. And the disabled toilet was a disgrace. Not fit for purpose.

Group of friends had a cracking days golf here on their lovely course which was well tended and in great condition given our scorching summer. Great days golf was bettered by the hospitality which was excellent with coffee and bacon rolls before going out and superb meals on our return. Really great value all round and enjoyed by all on our outing, confirms why we come here each year.
