Loved everything about this restaurant. The menu has great variety, the flavors were spot-on and the service was top-notch.The staff made us feel right at home. Will definitely be returning! Highly recommend for a great dining experience!🫶🤩

So we decided to give this restaurant another shot last night after hearing it’s under new management. We use to order from here a lot and about 8 months ago the food just went downhill so we stopped ordering. After last night, we are definitely going to keep ordering! We ordered a butter chicken and lamb bhuna. These curries were delicious, flavourful and hot when they arrived at our door! The naan was good, bhajis were lovely and crispy and the chutneys and salad were lovely as well. The only thing that was disappointing were the chips, they could definitely be improved. However, still fine when you dip them in your curry. We are so glad that you are returning to what you once were and hope that this review will push others to give you another go! Keep it up:)

I really suggest The Ballroom Restaurant. First of all the food is amazing and delicious. Secondly the service is fast and fantastic. It is a suitable place for a family to get together. The atmosphere is very vivid . Best wishes for the future.

The food is very delicious. The staff are welcoming,charming and helpful.I will hundred percent recommend if you want to try some Indian classic dishes.

Staggering, the only word I can use to describe the culinary adventure that will likely test your immune system to new levels even with the threat of COVID worldwide. I could rip apart the food, the service and creepy decor and piano music all day long but when a curry house can't even boil rice correctly you know you're going to be in for a treat. Add to this, stale papadums, microwaved meat starters and reheated chicken galore, if you get out alive you should back a horse at Cheltenham and invest the winnings in a jar of Sharwood's korma sauce poured over your cats face. You're going to enjoy that meal much more than what's on offer in this dieing restaurant. I would avoid this place at all costs and will never return.

Food ok & tasty but ordered king prawn and served small prawns, not told and when asked given glib response. Service timings prompt but oh my, the waiter was unfriendly, dismissive and rude. Not just to us, we saw this to a number of guests this evening. I'm shocked at how we/others were dismissed as if we were an inconvenience. Raj who we had lovely memories of at the Barbuchi would be horrified.

Food was absolutely delicious. The staff were OK, helpful and did everything they needed to, but goodness me, they need to learn to SMILE! I'm used to Indian restaurants being deadpan to an extent, but the staff here are so deadpan, it's almost comedic.

Got a takeaway so can't talk about the place but the food was fantastic, the lamb was not fatty at all and fell apart in your mouth, perfectly seasoned and just the right amount

Very bad food. We booked buffet for anniversary.. and got a few things, and everything was really bad. Would never ever recommend.

I had a very bad meal from here. It was late at night (9.45pm) but I had melted cheese on my curry. It did not taste of curry and was very weird for a veg curry. It’s like they didn’t know what to cook. The sag paneer was awful, burnt, no sauce and tasteless. I threw most of the curry away.

Great little place, just wanted to rest my feet in bstween concerts. The guys looked after me well. Bangladeshi style food, chicken bajar scrummy.

Was given a voucher for Xmas, we travelled from Swindon and it was definitely worth the drive, lovely atmosphere, friendly staff and beautiful food. The only reason I didn't score a 5 was because our voucher said 2 courses but we were still charged for the rice which I thought would've been part of the main course. Restaurant didn't have parking but there is alot of parking close by and reasonably priced. Would go back and will recommend to friends.

From all the indian restaurants we’ve tryed in Cheltenham, this one we liked the most. Food is tasty and good portion size.

Staff member is rude, they place poppadoms and condiments on table you think there complimemtary but they add it to your bill after wether you eat them or not. Had a group booking and they charged everyone £2 extra on top of the final for them. Food was good but didnt have what i wanted told me to have somethimg else and it burnt my mouth off was disappointed.

Wonderful meal, tandoori chicken tikka, garlic vegetable curry and nann bread particularly good. Imran and his team were very attentive. Great value for money

Went on Groupon deal which l was very clear about. When paying we were, l believe, overcharged by £7ish. Even though l immediately returned to plead my case they were having none of it😐. I am not stupid. I was not intoxicated. I therefore felt very badly treated. Will not return. That said the food was very good - no problem there 🙂

Shocking! Had missing items from an order, rang restaurant and they wanted me to go and collect them myself! Would not recommend or use again!

The Ballroom is my go to Deliveroo Indian. I've never had a bad meal yet and I have a lot of them. The food is consistent which is what you want for an Indian Restaurant. I was tasked to choose a venue for a work event and I had no hesitation to book the Ballroom. There was 14 of us and the service was superb. All the team said how nice the food was. Cobra beer on draught. The service was attentive and the food arrived quickly.

ordered online didn’t receive items in our order no sauce AT ALL on the balti curry- just a dish of dry chicken and onion chicken tikka masala was bland and tasted like a curry from a jar. very disappointed worst Indian experience yet will not be back.

Rude & belittling, ordered food when it arrived it had spilt all over the bag, when I called the employee he didn’t care and just blamed the driver, I explained regardless I have still spent £35 on a bag full of curry, his reply to that was that most people spend over £100, the food is actually very nice here but the customer service is disgusting so order if u wish just hope you don’t have to call them as they won’t care.

Very helpful staff and some really delicious curry as a result of the waiters advice. Sat outside in the sun. Perfect.

We did the all you can eat dinner on Sunday night for £12.95 per person. Absolutely amazing value. We got a starter, main, rice and naan each. Then we got a third curry as my boyfriend is a BIG eater. We got the lamb korma and chicken jahlile, both were great!

Orderd food from here tonight 10minutes after receiving a menu through the door. When I arrived and payed, there was a £6 difference to the menu I received through the door had advertised. The man told me it was an old menu! If true, then why are they stil posting them? As for the food, not even hot when i opened it and very bland, definitely alot better Indian restaurants in Cheltenham and definitely won't be back. After reading your reply i have to edit my review because I did not order through deliveroo, I orderd straight through to your restaurant phone and came to pick it up myself.

Food tasted okay overall. But some of the items were not good. For ex We had ordered a salmon tikka, it was done nicely but literally had just 1 fish piece for £12!. Naan, curries were good

Tasty, delicious food, good portions. Authentic decor. No heating on during our stay. Most seating is upstairs. Nice ambience. Basic toilets. Attentive, efficient servers, too much though. Constantly asking if we wanted more food and drink or clearing away plates. 2 course lunch and dinner deal looks good.

Great food here, the flavour is terrific. Portions I think are a bit small, for example a chicken mains might only have 4 or 5 pieces of chicken (and a bit firm, perhaps not marinaded), and rice which costs nothing please give me a decent portion for £4, yes I realise they don't want you to fill up on a commodity. After eating sleeping I got slightly fast heart rate maybe spices or could be MSG, but its what I noticed. But I'd eat here again. Chicken Jahale my God its delicious. Stylish building, a bit too dark upstairs.

Fab food and tailored to my allergies too. You will not be disappointed as food was great.

📅 This was a takeaway meal. 🏠 🧍🏻‍♀️ Service was efficient and quick. 🍔 The quality of the meat was very good but the curry sauces lacked specific flavour, the difference between three different curries was barely noticeable, the colour and flavour was too similar for three independant dishes. They were also very watery. The portion sizes were also an issue when compared with the price both the onion bhajis and rice dishes lacked in comparison with other local vendors. 🏧 The overall price of the food was typical for a meal for 3 persons, however, should maybe be lowered due to poor portioning and quality. Unfortunately, I would not spend my money here again for several reasons, much better curry locally.

Amazing Indian, don’t hesitate to try. Manager is also very friendly making it nicer knowing you’re also purchasing something from nice people. Also asked for changes to be made to our dhansak and it was brilliant! Keep up the good work :)

One of the best Indian restaurants in Cheltenham. We’ve had takeaways a couple of times recently, and on both occasions the food was excellent. We had the garlic vegetable balti, the madras, and the aloo began balti. Delicious!

Forth time (out of five) that there is something missing. Now it is a main dish so it is not acceptable.

They didn’t take any details for track and trace this is the first place I have been to that has not done it!! The lamb was thick pieces that We’re so tough we couldn’t eat our food, the waiter tried to say it was because it was a “special dish” absolute Nonsense I came here a few months ago and it was lovely so it was all excuses which annoyed me even more! The prawn main dish my partner got had two king prawns in it! For £15 I couldn’t believe it! The stairs leading to the toilet had no light and there was a bed up there! God knows what kind of establishment this is but I won’t be coming back again!!

The food is the only reason why I'm giving a 1 star. This establishment is not following government guidelines, well, a small sanitiser station at the door consisting of a pack of Dettol wipes and an empty bottle of sanitisor and the waiting staff wearing masks, that is it. Staff were allowing people to get up from their seat and go to the toilet or pop out for a cigarette without a face mask on. No track and trace system even though the government released the official app today and it's now law to display Quite clearly a table of 10 in the restaurant. Staff were rude and abrupt and get the impression they didn't want us there. If you want to try the food, which I highly recommend, order a take away.

Very difficult to know how many stars to award . The food was tasty and service good But I did not feel that customer's safety was a priority. I would have been happier if waiting staff had masks or shields. Also a screen when paying at bar would be a good idea . The hand gelling station on way in was woefully inadequate and we were not invited to gel our hands . In fact I didn't notice it until we were leaving. Several people went upstairs to use the toilet which I'm sure was not cleaned in between customers. Can I suggest another hand gelling station on way up to the facilities? I was pleased that we were seated away from other customers and the window was open. Cleaning of chairs ,banister etc between customers would be good too. All these things are not difficult to implement and would give customers confidence that they were being kept as safe as possible. Although I enjoyed my meal I will not be returning anytime soon .

DON’T USE THIS PLACE! Tonight has been the second time that we have ordered from here, to yet be disappointed once again. Yet again, we were missing food from the order, which was over an hour late. When my partner called them initially to ask where the food was, they responded with ‘Were busy, you have to wait’. When the food arrived items were missing, so we called up & were verbally abused & told we would have to wait & receive the missing items on a future order, despite having paid for this food & wanting it tonight. We were hung up on! Shockingly rude. Utterly terrible, cold food Please go elsewhere for food

Delivery quick and hot. Food quality pretty poor. large tough meat chunks. Poor quality curry. Need decent chefs that can cook decent indian food. Would not order again.

Paid £12 for a king prawn dish that had maybe 3 king prawns chopped into smaller pieces in it! Tikka Masala came as just Tikka and the poppadoms I ordered didn't even arrive!

Delivered the wrong food late, cold and with an item missing.When we tried to contact you about the problem on the 2 numbers you have, 1 has been disconnected and no one answered the other one even though we rang NUMEROUS times. Visited the Ballroom yesterday, and had a delicious meal. There was a good choice of dishes, and the staff were really helpful. Will definantly be going back.

Excellent quality of food and depth of flavour, the best in Cheltenham. The manager Ibrahim is lovely. Unfortunately one of the other waiters is very rude and unhelpful, which created a bad atmosphere.

It was average - service average, food and drink very average, decor okay - however very pricy. We used Groupon which I am not sure pleased them. Then it seems we were charged over the odds for everything to make up for it. They shouldn’t sign up to Groupon if they don’t want people using the Groupon vouchers. Not sure I would go back as felt a bit ripped off at the end of the meal. Had a lovely catch up with friends though.

Great food. Really tasty. On Sundays they have a table service buffet for £12.95. Starter plus main course plus choice of nan bread. Puppadums and drinks extra. We couldn't finish it but they willingly "doggy bagged" it for us takaway. Good service from the staff as well. We went this Sunday evening but it is even cheaper at Sunday lunchtime! We shall return.

We have been to the Ballroom twice for a meal on both occasions the main waiter was very rude very pushy by trying to hurry us into ordering. But our main concern was how the main waiter spoke to the new young waiter, treating him like rubbish. No need to talk to staff like that. Young waiter couldn't fault. We won't be returning.

Nice food but can never deliver the right items. Last delivery arrived with no rice. No attempt to make right. Terrible service.

Positives: food was great and cooked perfectly. Place was clean and well presented. Negatives: Service is very slow, food appeared nearly 2 hours after we arrived. Had to ask several times for drinks or water for the table, then ask again for glasses. At the end of the meal, plates were cleared even when one person hadn’t finished. Prices are extremely high compared to other restaurants close by and the service is woefully lacking.

Disappointed. Having used The Ballroom for takeaways several times, I was expecting good food. However, the chips were cold and included several black burnt chips. The lamb was overcooked, and the worst of it all was a long black strand of hair in my curry - and being a blonde guy, it definitely wasn't mine! Will not being using this restaurant for a takeaway again.

The food was delicious, but the waiter was awful, rude with an insulting behavior. We came with Groupon voucher (4people) and I think that upseted him. The restaurant was pratically empty, (23rd of december) but he told us that we were lucky that he gave us a table, that he should send us off. (I had booked few weeks ago and told them about the Groupon ' s voucher). He ruined our dîner.! He Made us pay every single request even the mango chutney. I have hated this place. I will make sure that Groupon is aware of that. Ballroom shouldn't be on Groupon. For the record I am afro - european, could that be the reason?

Highly recommended. We had a delivery from here. They were prompt and polite, although a bit of confusion over whether there was 20% off a delivery, the leaflet we had that day clearly stated it is. But the real 5 star is for the food. It tasted so fresh and well balanced in flavours. The meat tender and the king prawns were absolutely delicious. The puree for the prawn puree was not greasy and thank goodness they didn’t deliver it with in sauce to make it soggy. All in all as far as Indian delivery or takeaway goes this is the best we have had for years. And we have tried them all in Cheltenham.

Had a great two course meal and red wine, served at the correct temperature. 😊 Staff very attentive and friendly. Couldn't fault anything really. Not cheap though. Most expensive of our 4 nights out over the bank holiday weekend.

Fantastic food reasonably priced in a lovely old building. My one criticism is the lack of toilets with only one toilet serving both male and female for the whole restaurant .. And that is right on the top floor. That needs sorting out as a priority. Will be returning though
