Great coffee, friendly people, tasty almond croissant in a convenient but tucked away corner - couldn’t ask for much more

Nota positiva i dolci, davvero molto buoni.

Grandes paninis, jugos, postres, etc. y puedes comer adentro / afuera.

If you pop up this place, you can enjoy a lovely breakfast and a nice coffe. Service is quite all right. Not cheap but at least the quality of the what they serve is not bad.

I believe they have multiple locations for Balance, but I am writing a review for their Waterloo location. I’m giving this place two stars because of the dry cakes and terrible service. The waiter that took our order was flat out rude. When asked for gluten free options, he made a comment about how you need gluten to make a “good cake,” and that was why they didn’t have any fully gluten free cakes. They only had “wheat free” and vegan options. I opted for their vegan chocolate cake which had mediocre flavor and was very dry. Overall, their juices were okay, but it was the disappointing service that made me not want to come back here. The only positives were that there was enough seating and the coffee I had earlier that day was well made.

A great place for a takeaway. Very sweet...... wish they were open later! Oh and great toasted sourdough sandwiches.

Love the detox juice, they have a great variety of cold pressed juices, smoothies, good choices if you’re a health freak :) I had the pork sausages, bacon and poached eggs on brown bread and was delicious. They also have a good variety of teas as well. I don’t drink coffee so I didn’t take note of the coffee. Although I didn't have lunch there, but I saw some mouth watering salads prepared by the staff as they were getting ready for the lunch crowd.

By far the best coffee I had in Brixton and one of the best in London. The place is nice and cozy, with few seats outside, perfect for spring and summer.

Stopped off when driving by for a morning coffee and not from the area. I had a flat white and it was superb. I sat in my vehicle and drank it and wondered why the place didn't have a queue out the door at 8 in the morning with the footfall that was passing on their way to work. Management I would strongly suggest some free tasters outside the door for all those passes by as they would be hooked when tasting the quality of your drinks!

Without a word of a lie by far the best flat white I've ever had in my 15 years in London. I promise. Highly recommended. 100%

A really lovely café, the staff are always friendly and the coffee is great. I have only had juice here once but it was also very nice. I can't think of any negatives, just go there :)!

Popped in to Balance the other day and I was overall blown away by how awesome it was. As a Speciality barista myself I only have one rule when it comes to espresso-based drinks; the espresso itself has to be exceptional. I was not disappointed. Greeted by a professional-looking barista-kudos on his apron and beard-the minute I walked in, he proceeded to take my order and process my payment. The coffee was made to the highest standards and this is coming from a coffee nazi. I could not pick any faults in making it and trust me I've witnessed some atrocities as a customer in many of these 'speciality coffee shops' ubiquitous in the capital . I ended up with a normally sized flat white (6 oz) with milk at the right temperature which boasted an absolutely wonderful pattern. Initially, I considered taking away half a star as syrups were on offer (at the extra cost of 20p) but I changed my mind as understandably they have to cater to the broadly speaking coffee uneducated clientele that makes up London's population. However, this place deserves the full 5 stars in terms of coffee. I can't really speak for their selection of food and freshly made juices as I didn't try any of them. As a person in the coffee business and a FUSSY coffee drinker this little shop has won me over.

Great pub for sport - 7+ screens and nice vibe, not too packed and good music too. Good Guinness and lovely staff. Can't comment on food as we didnt eat but we will be back!

This little cafe is in a side street opposite the tube station. Unpretentious, with great coffee and excellent cake. What more could you want

As I live round the corner I just walked in & ordered a bacon, sausage, egg & mushroom toasted sandwich/bloomer to take away. A few mins later when I returned home I will say it was "absolutely & incredibly cooked, sliced, layered & presented to perfection". A non branded local cafe serving great breakfasts using quality products. Overall compared to other cafes it wasn't a breakfast toasted sandwich that was just thrown together.

The commanding corner pub only a short walk from St. Matthews church in Brixton. Unfortunately, we were greeted with full-on football crowd when on arrival, but once the game was over and the rowdy intimidating clientele dissipated it became more bearable. Bizarrely they don't sell prosecco in large bottles, only expensive tiddly ones. The kitchen was broken or having a day off.
