Nice owner and the food is fresh and tasty

I had my 3rd visit great service professional staff very hygienic tasty food I will definitely go this place from now on.

I’ve just found my new favourite Kurdish restaurant…we started off with some lentil soup which was absolutely delicious and 2 freshly baked Kurdish nan bread,I had the chicken kebab with all the beautiful fresh salad while my son had a portion of chips and I have to say the kebab and salad was outstanding while after I had some lovely refreshing Kurdish tea,the restaurant is really nice with friendly staff and I will be visiting again next time I’m in west Croydon…I highly recommend this place and you won’t be disappointed with great food and reasonably good prices…I will give Balham a big 10 out of 10 👍(only 2 min walk from west Croydon rail station)

Went here for the first time today. The owner and staff are all absolutely lovely. The Food is, no word of a lie the best I have eaten ever all home cooked delicious fresh ingredients can’t recommend highly enough.

This place is incredible. Easily the best restaurant in Croydon. I came here for the first time today with my friend. We were treated like VIPs the moment we walked through the door. The owner and staff are all lovely. The food is freshly cooked and absolutely delicious, they look after you so well in here and we will continually come back and recommend this place to everyone!

Superb food with super friendly service. They also put on some nice Arab music (Nancy Ajram etc.) Will return for sure.

I’m surprised and shocked , the waiter there spoken to us in bad manner , I asked the management if can have anther waiter , and they did, but the surprise was , when we left the restaurant the waiter follow us outside to fight physically with us and he brought his friends with him and swear badly !! And he try to use his hand to fight but his friends hold him !!! If we didn’t try to skip we could be dead by now!!. I did reported to police, and escalated.

The waiter was extremely rude. First I thought it's because I don't tip him. I used to date a Kurdish girl in Belgium. I learnt how to dance and eat Turkish food. They always expect you to speak their language which is weird. I went to a Turkish restaurant during Ramadan and they were extremely mean, expecting me to be fasting. Long story short, close minded and hard headed.

Very rude unprofessional stuff they got no manner how to approach customer I used to go every Sunday but from now on I ll never go again I m soo disappointed btw the food is amazing

Welcomed right away. The smell hits you right when you in and it’s amazing. Ordered two chicken shawarma wraps and sat back and watched the naan get made fresh. The chicken was moist and flavorful. All the veggies were fresh and the garlic sauce was good and still let you taste the rest of the food. Four more days in London and I’ll be back for sure at least once. Maybe more depending on how the food stops go for the rest of my trip. The kebabs looked amazing and are for sure on my radar.

Was staying in Croydon for a few days while passing through London. We always like finding local food whenever we travel someplace new, Croydon is multicultural, and I've always liked shawarma so I searched and found Bakhan near the top of the list. Food was INCREDIBLY good, and the staff was extremely helpful in figuring out how to order effectively (haha!). Lamb shish + chicken shawarma were amazing, veggies were crisp and cold, sauces were perfectly balanced. Locals were very friendly and sociable, had a great time chatting and getting new recommendations for the area!

Fantastic place! I’m tired of paying £70- £80 every Friday night date night so decided to look for places where you can feast for £25 and I found Bakhan. I have been here before, but I forgot how reasonable it was compared to other Turkish places in the area (mentioning no names). Great quality food at Café prices. Now romance can blossom without breaking the bank. I should also mention we were treated very respectfully, by the super friendly boss!

The boys at Bakhan strike again!!!!! The food is to die for in this joint. Hands down the best Kurdish restaurant in South London if not London. The lamb kozi just melts in your mouth and the rice is just pillowly soft, perfection! The team here is just amazing and so hospitable. The environment is rustic and clean and reminds me of a time gone by. Trust me people if you want amazing food come to this place, you will be licking your fingers and leave with new memories and a new place you can count on for great food! Bakhan never dissapoints!!! Top tips: Ask the Shaam and Shwan the Chef for recommendations, they are honest and will give you the best. Try the shwarmas, the salad here is tasty and fresh. The tea is great.. add some sugar.

Really nice quality shawarmas and plenty of meat and salad however if eating here must eat at the shop as the food gets cold quick and soggy but perfect taste and lovely mixture of sauces

Been here a few times now and the food is amazing 10/10 I ordered a chicken Shish with Nan and I already got a nan and then I got given 3 more I was stuffed when I was fished and then I was about to get 2 more!! I was too full to eat any more even though the nans are amazing. The meat is also really juicy, tender and seasoned well. Highly recommend this place

The Chicken Shawarma wrap is the best thing I've tasted in a long time - delicious! Everyone is really friendly and happy.

I have been there twice already and it would appear they "never" have falafel for some bizarre reason only to be advised "to come back tomorrow" when clearly I want to try their falafel wrap meal "now". Until they have falafel to buy and sell, I have little to no option but to give them 1 star ratings.

I collected some dishes today for my sister (who is on an eternal diet). I seldom visit Croydon and this was in fact my first visit to this restaurant. Upon entering, the gentleman behind the counter greeted me and gave me a quick insight into many of their dishes. I placed my take-away order and proceeded to wait. The gentleman was extremely kind and asked me to sit at the table (as I await for my order) with a complimentary bowl of delicious lentil soup. What an extremely kind gesture! My dieting sister loved the cuisine so much so that she enquired as to the name of the restaurant. I highly recommend this restaurant.

I'm not sure how this place has a 4.4 rating. We were served a lamb kebab that was burnt and the meat tasted off. The chicken kebabs were dry and bland. The size of the dishes are the size of a starter. Very poor food. The only positive is the tasty jalapeños which are from a jar! Big let down.

Ordered large lamb shish which came with plenty of fresh salad, two breads and pots of both garlic and chilli sauce. Excellent value at £11. Food was so well packed it was still warm when I got home.

As you can see on picture is not cooked at all and they just rushing to give you pulas they charge £5 for it with bad size

If I could do lower I would.These people give the smallest portions and the most expensive amount of money to pay.The service is horrible and they wouldn't care if you were not happy with the food.Also the food is disgusting.I used to go here it was good but now it is horrific.

Usually I like this place but today I ordered 2 chicken shawarma and 1 lamb shawarma both had less quantity of meat and salad the person who preparing was new or may be he is saving money and giving less quality and quantity food but taste is 5 star, I would appreciate put it back the way you used to serve

Clean shawarma place, not sure if it's Turkish/Kurdish/somewhere else. They make fresh naan for the shawarma. A chicken shawarma wrap is £4, good size. Space to sit too.
