This is one of London’s best kept secrets! This bakery is by far one of the best I’ve been too, the almond pain au chocolates and sourdough bread are a must try. If you are there for lunch they do a soup of the day and one special stew or salad bowl and the ingredients and flavours are of the highest standards. It’s worth the trip from wandworth town station and once you try their pastries you’ll find it hard not to return for more.

Absolutely amazing bread. It is hard to find anything that compares. Right flavour, texture, crunch. So lucky to have this bakery locally.

Una fabulosa panadería de barrio con divina masa agria y pasteles. Definitivamente la mejor panadería del suroeste de Londres.

This little bakery is run by a frenchman who is passionate about making the best sour dough possible and it is certainly baked with time and love. It has a crusty outside and a perfect middle - we buy some every time we are near. Open on Sunday mornings so pop down for a loaf and some home-made croissant.

To be fair, perhaps it was actually an orange chocolate tart. I can't remember the name, just the lingering flavor of tart orange with a deep chocolate hug on the perfect base accompanied by a hot cocoa. Perhaps that was too much chocolate, but I do not believe so. My husband had a yummy vegetarian quiche. Our daughter had carrot cake with a mocha. It is a teensy sitting space but very comfortable and with huge windows. Several people got their food to go while we dined, and we were so welcomed by the owners. It was a lovely and cozy spot for studying or chatting or just enjoying the fresh baked goodies.

A new discovery and fantastic vegan cafe/restaurant just off Battersea Park Road near the library and worth looking for. If you want a healthy alternative to the ‘full english” you’ll find in abundance on this road, VIBES is perfect. A good local’s cafe and reputation for veggies & vegans - I popped in for a full vegan breakfast and ended up having a great chat with the owner and customers.

I’d noticed that there is always a steady stream of people at the door of Press Coffee, so finally made the pilgrimage myself - what a lovely spot. Inside is tiny but cozy and they happily let me park a pram at the front while I enjoyed a coffee and a few pages of my book. Delicious coffee and homemade ‘breakfast cookie’ and the two guys working there couldn’t have been friendlier or more accommodating. I’ll definitely be back!

Myself and 6 friends celebrated 50 years since we started our nurse training. We had lunch in Richards kitchen which was fabulous and one of the tastiest meals I have ever eaten. We weren't rushed, the staff were friendly and we all really enjoyed the experience. And Richard also gave me a recipe which was quite generous of him. Thank you Richard, your food was amazing!!
