Busy pub with good atmosphere on a Saturday night

Came here with my husband first time. It had been shut for a refurb/point eith new owners/managers Served by a lovely young lady Melissa who was new and was telling me about the new Cocktail menu they will be selling. Will definitely be back with friends to try 1 or 2!

Quite honestly, one of the nastiest pints of Moretti I’ve ever had. However, the pub itself isn’t bad inside

Be happy to give a 0 review. But the manager is very happy to allow patrons to chant rasist Muslim songs while the football is on, on numerous occasions during an English football match. Avoid at all possibilities.

Good time with SWARM great band good hospitality safe environment. Hazy Hog not bad either.

Staff are rude and unwelcoming, bouncers are abusive and the beer tastes like soap! There are plenty of great pubs in alton so give this one a miss… trust me

if i could give 0 i would, always a bad vibe in here and bouncers are always on a power trip, aggressive and brag about assaulting people half their size. avoid

Visited Saturday lunchtime, no ales available, disappointing. Pub looks smarter these days though.

Great proper pub Popped in Saturday early evening for a couple great welcome from Steve the landlord made to feel very welcome, locals were also friendly, good couple of pints of real ale Steve and his wife I believe have only just taken this pub on I’m sure with their warm welcoming and hard work they will do very well. This is a good old fashioned pub; a great drinkers pub. Good people, good barmaids and you will be made very welcome. There is a disco with dancing on Friday evenings, can be lively and rowdy but always enjoyable. Great PUB, Well worth a visit.

First time I've been in thier tonight since the refurb it looks amazing like a different place from where I worked for 4 years well done trust and gang and the drinks are very well priced too

I liked the place, but it appears to be shut down for rennovations. I will definitely be going back once it it re-opened. Nice staff, a few regulars, pool table, and karaoke on weekends sometimes.

Good old fashioned pub Witherspoon in Aldershot should offer the barmaid a job to train their staff....... she never shouted who's next with only one person stood at the bar

Nice locals pub. Opens early, so a good starting point for an Alton pub crawl. Nice carpet, old furniture and friendly staff and locals. The sort of pub you don't see a lot of nowadays.

A really good pub if you are young and like music and sport with Sky football and other sports. Beer prices good but no food. Staff and customers friendly.

Un welcoming atmosphere, but the beer was really well kept

£4.10 for a pint of beer is scandalous, and short measure too...!! Won't re-visit anytime soon. :(
