BakeHouse Express Colchester in Colchester

I was on my way to Starbucks when I came across this cafe. I had a vanilla iced late (much better than Starbucks) and a scone which was also delicious. The atmosphere is calm and relaxing and the decor is gorgeous. I recommend to everyone.

No longer serves gluten free cake so won't be visiting again. Staff seem miserable. The 'coffee' is weak and tasteless

I love big scone taste nice. I think they need more different types of cakes, sandwich, drink but I am disappointment none there pepsi max. Also, I think there is some rip-off price, too. 😕

Stopped in when we were here in November. The food and coffee was top notch. Even bought a bag of beans to take home with me.

Have tried this place a couple of times now as I really want to like it to support local business. With such a beautiful set up, you'd expect a lovely coffee, but it's just so weak. What a shame as the baked goods are well received.

Very tasty cakes and choices with delicious scones with coffee. The coffee itself was a bit weak, but we have noticed that that is more common in this region. The owner or employee was very friendly and came across as professional. The appearance of the building itself was super clean, neat and neatly finished

Lovely cafe with a great selection of handmade cakes and good coffee. Friendly service and classy decor. Highly recommended.

Have been coming here regularly whenever I get chance since they’ve opened; the staff in there are amazing; friendly and attentive. The scones are TO DIE for and a lovely little hidden gem within Colchester town centre cafes

My daughter and I had cheese scones and a pot of tea and it was fabulous well worth a visit we will be back and the staff are very friendly
