Great food and great staff - amazing work by Sophie, Vicky and Cassie

Had a mother & daughter (12 year old) afternoon tea, they adapted few little things for us which was brilliant,( booked in advance). Nothing was an issue, Service was good, they 3 female staff member were lovely & friendly

Popped in for breakfast. Ordered Eggs Florentine and tea. Food arrived Eggs Royale. Told the waitress I ordered Eggs Florentine, she proceeded to tell me I didn't. I'm vegetarian, and I occasionally have fish if there are no vegetarian options, but that wasn't the case. No apology or offer to replace with what I had actually ordered. She then proceeded to walk away and moan to her colleagues about me whilst I'm fully in earshot! The poached eggs whites were still liquid in parts, muffins toasted but cold. It wasn't an enjoyable experience. I get we all make mistakes, but it's how you deal with them that makes the difference.

Came here for breakfast, based on some of the positive reviews. I must say I was very disappointed with the breakfast I received. I ordered the full set breakfast, which was terrible. It stated on the menu gourmet sausages,I received something resembling a cheap Richmond sausage. Also the poached eggs were like bullets and the toast was more like stale bread. All in all a terrible experience.

Wouldn't return, slow service, bland tasting food the bacon like cardboard despite reasonable presentation, waited that long for breakfast had been finished my coffee for nearly 30 minutes before food came out.

These know how to.do a good breakfast. Sausages on point to. Cosy place snuggled in the corner.of historic guisborough town.

Great food and wonderfully warm service

We visited with six adults and four children on a Saturday morning for breakfast. Food, coffee and service all great. Our long and complicated order (including cold bean as requested by Mark 🤢) was taken and delivered without any mistakes. The Badger was a lot bigger on the inside than I thought with seating upstairs for about 25 people. The only negative was upstairs is dimly lit and was a little dark. Would I recommend the Badger Yes. Would we go again for sure.

Lovely welcoming staff showed us to a table. We had a (skinny) cappuccino, Yorkshire tea and two cheese (and chilli) scones. The scones didn't noticeable taste of chilli but they were very good cheese scones. We will definitely be back. Thanks.

What a lovely place to have breakfast! Great friendly service, lovely decor inside, great tranquil music and a beautiful view out of the window. You couldn't ask for a better start to the day. Not to be missed. Thank you!

Had a couple of cocktails and some tapas one night part of which was bread olive oil and balsamic vinegar really tasty and great cocktails too

Not accommodating for families, if you’re looking for somewhere to eat an early lunch with children this is not the place. My food was covered in salt. Will not visit again.

Stopped in here this afternoon for drinks after a walk around the Priory. Would recommend. Latte and hot choc £6.40. Took a while to come …. Glad for the sit down ! You can sit outside on a warm day.

Great place to eat. Simple Menu although the product I wanted was sold out but the alternative which was a chicken burger was so tastefull and crispy with bacon and cheese on. Loved the pigs 🐖 in blankets as a starter and the cider is served in a frosted glass nice touch. Would I go here again ? Yes for sure . They also do a good Bruch menu . Fruit scone with jam and cream was very nice and the luxury hot chocolate was divine. My friend also really enjoyed their bagel. Very reasonably priced and friendly service. The staff are student friendly also 🤩.

Called in for unplanned lunch today. Cannot fault- lovely food, reasonably priced drinks and even some bits of sausage for our little dog!! Wonderful find so close to our new home.Will be back very soon....

Often here for a scone and a cuppa but today had a vegetarian Yorkshire wrap with chips. It was soooooo nice. Thank you

Excellent stop for a coffee and something to eat. Dog friendly, good service, and friendly staff. Never had a bad meal, and all the food I saw being served looked good. Worth a visit if you're in Guisborough.

Had forager breakfast veg sausages were awful strange consistency and taste. Egg yolks had broke in cooking so had mixed with white and set, I wouldnt of sent that out from kitchen so overall not a great breakfast. I told the waitress she just looked at me no acknowledgement still had to pay full price no one acknowledged complaint wont be rushing back.

Nice decor and atmosphere. Ordered the Badger's Hash. Wasn't bad but the potatoes weren't crispy as advertised and they went a bit too heavy on the caramelised onion so the whole thing was extremely sweet, not bad tasting. Would come back.

Lovely and welcoming dog friendly cafe. Tasty food and our dog got a little treat too, so all enjoyed the experience.

First time dining here . Slow service from sitting down to ordering to getting drinks to the food arriving . Food was ok but small portions for a large parmesan , wouldn't return for food, picture is a large.

Went for a private event, nice place. Food was good, drinks were good - but would be nice to have bar staff who can make drinks. Being asked if you want ice when you ordered whiskey on the rocks was amusing ...

I went in for breakfast for my birthday we had pre booked and on the table there was Happy Birthday on a little stand. The waitresses were lovely and the food was fab.

First time trying Badger's and I will be back. Really welcoming and pleasant staff and even better food. Full English Breakfast with coffee was only £10.50 (Feb 23) - a total bargain. Probably won't have to eat again for the rest of the day! Highly recommend if you are in Guisborough.

Simple fare but nicely done. Reasonably priced brunch. Cosy (but not fussy) environment by day; relaxed cocktail bar evenings.

With a warm welcome, great service and delicious food this is a place to visit again & again. We've had a baby shower in the gorgeous upstairs room, coffee, breakfast & lunch here and it's always been amazing. Well worth a visit!

Went for breakfast and it was really good. Staff very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend

Coffee served but waited 20 mins for sausage sarnie and toasted teacake by which time coffee he'd been finished. Sausage bun had been buttered and this made the bun really greasy did not enjoy, teacake barely toasted.

We wanted to thank and commend Badgers for provided a fabulous venue for a celebratory breakfast for my Nan's 80th birthday. Nichole and the staff couldn’t have been more helpful. The food was brilliant!

What a lovely place. Cool environs. Loved my food and cocktail and the staff were just wow. Wish I had a big birthday.. the upstairs is soooo cool. As it is, I had Yorkshire pudding wrap. Who knew? The best of a Sunday roast without laying you flat for a week! Gorgeous. Wish we lived closer.... Quick post lunch stroll around the priory opposite and that's all your Sunday afternoon needs met. Wonderful.

Great place. Had lunch there and the menu is small but just right! Loved the upstairs bit, I couldn't stop looking at the ceiling. A big plus for me was they stocked local beer too.

Badgers is a hidden gem. It is small and it is best to reserve a table if you are definitely wanting to dine in. The staff are very responsive and friendly. Best bit, it's dog-friendly. It is a bit expensive but I can recommend the Posh BLT with Chicken and add a side of chips. Yummy.

Great breakfast, bacon, black pudding and poached eggs were particularly good. Very clean and cosy as well as being dog friendly. Just visiting the area but will eat there again on return.

Very smartly done , good atmosphere and warm ! (As doors not open like in other places due to civid and ventilation. ) Food quite nice, bit more expensive than average.

The food and service was great. Limited menu until 3pm but everything we ordered was delicious. However we ordered tea for 3. 1 teabag in a small tea pot with another teapot of water for £9 is very excessive. It really did take the shine off the brunch. To be fair when we asked for another teabag the lovely waitress brought another 2. So all in all we were fairly happy leaving. We will be back

Our go to cafe when in guisbrough booking is probably advised but they have done out upstairs now so probably can cater for more covers.

I would have given Badger's five but they put the butter pat's on the toasted bread buns which consequently melted to oil
