Really good wine experience. The athmosphere and the crowd is top. Great selection of wine and great serving folks.

Lovely place with a very nice vibe. Had some amazing Italian red and white wine. You can order pasta from the place next door and they bring it to you! It was delicious

Good vibe but the food portions are very small. Prepare to spend £35 on a meal for one and come away still hungry

while sitting at this wine bar you can order from their lovely italian wine list (mostly bottles, some by the glass) and order from the artisan pasta place next door to have your food delivered to your wine bar table. such a unique and cozy experience!

I love this place. Great vibes, excellent service too. Staff are very knowledgeable about the wine, there is so much to choose from. Pasta from next door (artisan pasta maker) is one of the best pastas I’ve ever had.

The only nice thing in this bar, was the atmosphere. We came for date night and we were looking for some nice wines, maybe some cheeses, even in higher price range. It took some time before we were even seated, after that everyone has better job, than give us some menu, one of them also ate some noodles on the bar in front of guess, when we were waiting. After quite some time we choose wine what was recommended to us, but when we tried it, it was anything but good wine. When we looked the price on internet the wine which cost us 30 pounds, cost 10 pounds...Which was not what we were happy about. I understand profit is needed, but that much? Also when we came, we were told by one of the staff that the kitchen is closing in 5 minutes and we cant order food. When another waitress comes in, about 30 minutes after and asks, If we want the food menu, for ordering the food. Horrible experience!

Wish I lived in Edinburgh so I could visit more often. I only discovered this place on my last day today, when I went to have a plate of pasta next door. I came in for a complementary glass of wine and had such a lovely chat with the Spanish guy behind the bar (unfortunately I don’t know his name!). He absolutely knew his wines and gave great advice, and was so kind! Honestly if I’d lived in Edinburgh I would be a regular here. Go go go! ♥️

What an absolute gem of a place!! I have walked past the door hundreds of times & always been very keen to visit. It surpassed all expectations!! Fantastic wine selection & the food from The Artisan Pasta Maker next door made the entire experience all the more special. Massive shout out to Santiago who was warm, welcoming, knowledgeable & great fun. The bar was completely full but he handled every customer with great care and attention & somehow, made it look effortless. A complete pro!! This is my new favourite place in Edinburgh. Can't wait to come back. Elaine xxxx

Incredibly delicious pasta and salad - the best we've had in a long time

Smaller spot with great Italian wines and knowledgeable staff. First rate for a glass or bottle outside the more touristy areas.

Such an amazing day well spent! Great wine selection, attentive service (until it got unmanageably busy) from Lewis who got an amazing knowledge on wine and whisky. Reasonably priced place with the only issue that they didn't have any particular platter on site (the place next to it is doing fresh pasta and plates, just not something I was looking for)

Santiago was a wonderful host and had fabulous reccomendations! Thank you for making our night and everything was delicious.

Bacco Wine is the perfect little bar for an intimate date night. Lovely atmosphere with fairy lights, wide selection of italian wines and delicious pasta from next door to go with it. Don't worry if you dont know much about italian wine, or wine at all for that matter, as the staff are experienced and very helpful with their suggestions. Def recommend a visit!

¡The best wine bar in Edinburgh! They make you feel like you are in an authentic bar in northern Italy. I like too much this place. I come the first time when a read about the place in the SATURDAY of The Guardian.

The most adorable and intimate wine bar setting and a sommelier with expert knowledge of all the wines available.

Superb food and wine, great atmosphere . The pasta, gnocchi and polenta dishes change with the seasons, all fresh and delicious. Lovely place to meet friends.

Gave 5 stars for the food, this is due to the artisan pasta makers next doors. The wine is exceptional, and one needs to at least try it. I'm doing the trying not on a weekly basis, just to make sure the standards are maintained, only fair. Will update the review of they ever change.

Bacco is the closest thing I have to home. Missing Italy is a thing, but with Bacco on my side it’s incredibly easier. The quality of wine is outstanding and staff is helpful, careful and knowledgeable! Not to say that the collab with Artisan Pasta Maker is a match made in heaven: incredible pasta and showstopper wine! If you’re Italian or you’ve been to Italy, Bacco is the closest thing you have to heaven. A piece of my heart ❤️ I can’t recommend it enough!!!

We go here regularly and almost nowhere else. It's the best value for money and we just love the staff as well as the vibe! Awesome place!

Would not recommend!! Staff were incredibly rude and dismissive when we were just asking questions about the menu. Come here if you want attitude! Staff seem to lack training or maybe just work ethic
