Bacaro in Woking

I recently came across Bacaro restaurant's takeaway service in Woking when walking through town one evening. I've had both their pizza and pasta offerings and I really enjoyed them. Being treated well by their staff with a personal friendly service was the cherry on top. I will definitely be ordering from them again.

Great place when it’s open and just had a great lockdown takeaway delivered by deliveroo. Perfectly packaged and great portions, absolutely delicious. Highly recommend.

Been here on a number of occasions and well what can I say.The atmosphere alone is a mind boggling - that of a Italian bistro in the heart of Rome.Now the food, a mixture of perfect Italian cuisine ha never been so mind blowing.If you’re in Woking... take that back if you’re in the UK! You need to visit Bacaro!You will be greeted by the Owner Adam, a truly passionate owner with a wealth of knowledge in both drinks and food!

The Staff are an absolute credit to the industry. The food prepared by The Boss and Ray is enough to ensure Ramsey and Oliver's early retirement.The Tiramisu is a thing of beauty!! A pleasant afternoon rounded of with a unique brand of cappuccino!Love the place and all in it!

Great atmosphere, unique drinks and some of the best food in Surrey. Few places where the owner will personally welcome you and serve you; Adam and his team is excellent.

The food and customer service is top rated and very authentic to the cuisine. I especially love the personal touches and the owner is awesome and when you know the owner loves his restaurant then everything feels good in there too.

The most incredible food, service and atmosphere. By far the best place in Woking and I would highly recommend anyone to travel there from anywhere in Surrey. The decor and music is so wonderful and it’s a brilliant place to eat, socialise or have a party.

I am a regular visitor during the day for coffee and sometimes something to eat. The owner Adam is very friendly and he has excellent front of house staff , usually Mariacha in the weekdays. Unlike a lot of bar /cafes ,the clientele are a wide range in terms of age and the customers are very diverse , a sure sign everyone is welcome.The coffee and food are consistently good and attention to detail in presentation is excellent. During Covid ,it helps that there is an outside area to sit in and has outdoor heaters for colder days ahead.

The best place to eat and drink in Woking. Greeted by the loveliest staff! All three risotto's are phenomenal, the seafood platter is so fresh and the fried seafood is also delicious. Great selection of drinks with brilliant cocktails and rum choices. Definitely recommend.

Steak was perfectly cooked, staff were very efficient and friendly! Can’t wait to come back and try more things from the extensive menu.

We had dinner on Friday evening and even at 7.00 PM there was a lively buzz and atmosphere at Bacaro. We received a warm welcome and were shown to our table upstairs. Drinks arrived swiftly and so did the food. For starters we had the risotto and a seafood dish and both were hot tasty and a large portion. They were though over salted but otherwise the quality of the food was excellent and fresh. For mains the seafood platter was excellent and my chicken with veg was superb. So, no complaints. The Tiramisu for dessert was rich and tasty. All in all this restaurant is a gem and the team that run it really understand what the customers want, they have got the elements of running a restaurant all correct and deliver on all counts.Well done to Adam and the team and we will be returning to Bacaro again. Thanks guys.

I came here with a friend on a recommendation, and was not disappointed. We arrived early evening so it was relatively quiet, which allowed Adam to give us some very personal and friendly service. The food arrived quickly and was to such a high standard! Definitely get more than your money’s worth in Bacaro. We had a wonderful night and will certainly be returning.

I came here more than once now, and I'm absolutely happy to say, this place is GREAT. The best in Woking you can go. The food is amazing! Premier quality. FRESH, and i would like to remark it. I had the steak and my friend got the sea food platter. Everything was divine. A very good selection of wines and cocktails. I particularly enjoyed the warm and welcoming atmosphere in there and the music selection too! You must try Bacaro if you're around the area and you will have the real Italian experience.

Lovely food and gear service. My husband and I are regulars at this place. I would highly recommend the steak and the seafood platter. Probably one of the best seafood platters you can get without going abroad. Amazing fresh prawns and the steak is to die for. Whether it’s for a nibble and a drink or dinner, I would highly recommend giving this place a try.

Bacaro is a beautiful hidden gem in the heart of Woking. I have visited on many occasions for both food and drinks. The large selection of drinks from cocktails to wine is amazing something for everyone. The food... unreal! Amazing menu with Lots of choice, some of the best food that I have had in Woking it’s always so fresh tasty! I have also eaten from Bacaros kiosk in the market walk, the freshest food on the go absolutely worth a visit! The staff are just lovely and so friendly nothing is ever too much, makes the experience even more enjoyable than it already was. So if your looking for good food, good drink and everything else in between Bacaro is the place to go for sure!

Just had an amazing meal, food was top quality, steak melts in the mouth and the sea bass was divine. Ambiance was top class felt like I was on holiday.

Been here a number of times. Always the best quality seafood. Huge scallops! As well as the best service. Bar makes the best cocktails too. We will be back. Cheers

The best place in Woking to enjoy a nice drink and amazing meal. Great selection of wines and beers, as well as delicious cocktails. The food here is undoubtedly the best you will find in Woking; fantastic 4 cheese risotto, slow cooked pork shoulder, chicken milanese and a seafood platter to die for!

Attention to detail in all aspects... This little gem was recommended by likeminded foodies and so too will we recommend. The place itself boasts a plush, modest elegant, modern decor with the warmth and heart of a traditional independent Italian. The service is on point and you can clearly experience a heartfelt welcome from the very present owner/manager. (This is something we don’t see much of in restaurants these days) We chose 3 small dishes from the Cicchetti list for starters, and sirloin steak sharing board for mains. Couldn’t fault it, fresh ingredients put together superbly. There’s also a cracking selection of Gin’s and good quality mixers to choose from. But next time I think we will try out the awesome looking cocktails that kept passing our table.

After being recommended by a colleague to eat here.. I am so glad that I did, to start the atmosphere is amazing, I was greeted with big smiles and was catered for immediately. I requested a cocktails list to which the staff happily recommended some popular favourites. All I can say is if you haven't gone already, you're missing out!! Great range to choose from if you're a cocktail buff like I am, I was delighted with my choices.I ordered a starter and main to which both come out quickly, I opted for the seafood as I have heard this is their speciality. It came fresh, presented in a fashion which felt I was eating in a Michelin Star restaurant. Every bite was delectable, there wasn't enough...not because the portion size wasn't ample, but because it was sooo nice I didn't want it to end.I asked to speak to the manager as I wanted to pass my compliments to the chef personally. I have never eaten such good food outside of London, it really did open my eyes to try some of these smaller eateries. The prices were very modest for such luxurious food and service, I really felt compelled to leave a generous tip, to which I did.I had another cocktail before I left and chatted away with the bar staff, they're hilarious and also so hospitable. Couldn't of done any more to make me feel welcome. I'm sold....coming again in two weeks for our staff party.11/10 from me. Thank you for such a great night Adam.

Whenever we can get to Woking, our favorite haunt is Bacaro. We LOVED the seafood platter we had for a lovely outdoor lunch date last year. We came back a few days latter to meet up with friends from a nearby town, and we found comfort, camaraderie, and great service from the friendly crew. Prosecco and small plates served by enthusiastic host and colleagues really made our little meet-up an occasion to remember. The decor is classy, the food fresh, the service impeccable, and the ambience friendly and open. We go there every year on our trips to UK. In this year of the pandemic, we have to just be content with memories of last autumn--and looking at the website now and then! I'm jealous of those of you who live nearby, who can enjoy safe food and wine at this great place.

This lovely restaurant/bar is the best in Woking by a far. Adam the owner goes above and beyond to give the ultimate service, every time!The chef is just phenomenal. I eat there every week and every week I’m blown away by the consistency.I love it!

Whatever the day of the week you will always get great tasting fresh food in Bacaros. From seafood to steaks to tasters...served to perfection. Washed down with a good wine and served by attentive staff.Even if you just want a little time to yourself or with friends they wont disappoint you.

Fresh, delicious, keenly-priced food served in a friendly, attentive atmosphere in a timely manner - what more could you ask for?! The food is amazing and portions are definitely for the hungry. And they were more than accommodating to the fussy amongst us (me). We were really impressed with their takeaway service during lockdown, so when we wanted to celebrate a birthday when restrictions were lifted, Bacaro was our first choice. In a group of four I had some trepidation - all immediately disappeared when I observed their meticulous approach to hygiene & distancing standards. Made even better with their ability to open up & make it like outside/inside dining. They made a simple birthday celebration something very special in difficult times

I have been in Bacaro for the first time Saturday with my friends. The place looked very cosy as well as the staff that served us.I ordered a fritto misto and linguine di mare and I have been surprise by the quality and freshness of the fish, it looked amazing and it was perfectly cooked. Everything was accompanied by an excellent red wine.I would recommend this place and I will definitely come back to try more from the menu.

After being here before and visiting with my wife after a church trip, I decided to take a friend of mine who was in town for a chat and light lunch. I will admit that last time we visited they seemed to have more options for food and i enjoyed the light appetiser dishes they had. This time the menu had changed and they only had sandwiches. Having said that the quality of food has not changed and it was very tasty. The coffee is also very good. I still really recommend this place. Will continue to drop by for snacks in the future :)

This was our second visit to Bacaro and enjoyed every minute of it. Excellent food, great drinks, great wine, great staff and great atmosphere! Very relaxed place, a little gem in Woking! Will definitely be one of our regular haunts!

Met up with a friend for a chat and light lunch, chose the best seafood risotto I have ever had. Very generous with the seafood, delicate taste with buzz of chilli. Very personal and thoughtful service by Adam who has run it for the past 2 years. Would definitely recommend. Generous glass of very good quality Prosecco. Sat upstairs at proper table and no nasty hard seats. Went off-piste from the excellent £10 lunch menu. Had fruit salad for dessert and once again was delicious, great mix of hand-chopped fruit, good balance of flavour. Wish I lived in Woking so could visit more frequently, really recommend this place. Should be visited by a proper foodie and rated with stars.

Fantastic seafood, when we asked about the monk fish the owner (Adam) showed us pictures of him picking it up at Billingsgate the same morning! We've been for Valentines, a couple of birthdays and for a business social. Adam and the team always go above and beyond to make sure the meal and service is memorable. I believe the restaurant cooks quite seasonally, so the menu rotates which is a big plus for us! One of the best summer dishes I had was a salad in a buttery lemon dressing - wasn't expecting that!Their bar is fab too, great gin selection.

Stylish and intimate by design with engaging staff. Whether I am dropping by for a morning coffee of a weekend or a pint after work, I like being here. I'll be trying the food soon, too, no doubt.

My wife and I went to Bacaro before going to the theatre in Woking. The food was freshly prepared and delicious, there was a good choice of wines and the service was great. I don’t really understand why the chain restaurants are average and full and a local restaurant with genuine Italian home cooked food is so quite. This is definitely a well kept secret.

This place is a gem and so glad it opened. Since opening we have been regulars and the drink and food never disappoints. The little touches like free nibbles with your drinks is a nice touch and all the staff are fantastic. They always make you feel welcome and will always keep visiting. Scallops are are favourite! The greeting was so friendly and welcoming. I have strict dietary needs and the chef was adapted to accommodate this. Such a wide selections of wine and spirits. All perfectly recommended to what you like to drink.

Always a please to go here after work for a few drinks. Always very warmly welcomed by owner Adam. Always complementary nibbles with the drinks. Nice atmosphere.

Drinks order was incorrect and unfinished drinks were removed to then be asked if we wanted more. Food took a long time to come out and came out I drinks and drabs. We were then rudely told that we should have preordered the food but we were only made aware of the preorder at 3pm the very same day; 3.5 hours before we were due to arrive.Two people found hairs in their food, one of these people didn’t find the hair until it was in her mouth! Another colleague had the seafood platter, octopus (the only piece that was in the dish) was so over cooked it was unpleasant, the mussels were over cooked and shrivelled, and the prawns were mushy and foul tasting. The colleague concerned felt unwell and went straight home. Our waitress gave this feedback to the kitchen which lead to the manager confronting my colleague in a very aggressive and defensive manner.They did remove all the food all the food from the bill of which we thought was unnecessary and offered to pay for the food which was enjoyed only to be met by more aggression. Shocking.

Good location and great cocktails. If the manager's behaviour was up to the same quality when receiving new customers, that could have made a great place for an after work drink. We will spare ourselves the insulting comments next time.

We stumbled across Bacaro, when making our way through all the chain restaurants, trying to find somewhere for a light lunch. Thank goodness we stopped here because it was perfect! Fantastic food and for such good prices, you could be dining on the Mediterranean coast with the amazing seafood options. A must visit in Woking and somewhere I will definitely be going back to!

Popped in for a quick drink. I can only assume the manager who is overly enthusiastic and we felt pressured to come in. No problem as the bar looks great and the outdoor setting was also great. To then see so many others being pressured. It felt like we were in some Spanish street where they all want your custom. To top it off we were then shouted at as we left a sarcastic remark “thanks guys” that we’re completely unsure why we can only assume it was the mini tray of olives and crisps that was handed to us that we didn’t order and that we didn’t eat as we were going else where to eat. I would never go here again!

Went "off piste" and ordered something that was not on the menu! After a 20 minute wait our food arrived. Giant steaks. Salad. Sweet potato. The steaks were to die for. Most excellent and friendly bar team. Well worth a visit. Enjoy :)

Went to try this place bacaró and spend my lunch time is this beautiful place order something to eat and drink and food was something crazy delicious and tasty the company of the amazing waiters make me feel home amazing next time will be in the evening!!!

This restaurant / bar is a great reflection of its owner. Fresh, full of personality and life - I've just got back from a two week holiday in Naples, Sorrento and Amalfi and the food in Bacaro was just as good if not better. I had the seafood platter, as did my guest and it was all so fresh and a really decent portion to boot!The owner is such a personable and likeable bloke and exudes enthusiasm, so happy to see him succeed. I'll be recommending Bacaro to all of my pals!Also, pop down to market walk in Woking and visit breadstall street bakery - this is the owners other venture and is another fantastic eatery!

We were looking for a bar to sit outside of and enjoy the sun and this was perfect. Our very enthusiastic server made sure we were looked after and he recommended some lovely wine for us to have. They also have a selection of tapas style courses for you to choose from. We had the small Italian toasted breads with different toppings. A good vantage point for people watching too.

Stopped by Barcaro’s for lunch on a lovely sunny day to sample to lunch menu.Chose the lunch special and was not disappointed. Delicious grilled prawns in a really tasty sauce, followed by Sea Bass & roasted vegetables, finished off with a homemade tiramisu - perfect lunch! And all for £10 - really great value! Service was also superb. What with the food and the weather plus lots of customers speaking Italian, I felt like I was on holiday Definitely recommend .....will be heading back for sure!!

Unusual and interesting menu, smallish tapas but freshly cooked. Really nice guy who owns it. Only down side is smoking at tables outside and at the side of them is really bad.It triggered my asthma and I would live to sit and eat out in the warmer weather.

What a great place. We went there wit our 3yo. It wasn’t busy we went at noon. The staff was friendly and polite. Very clean restroom. Food quality is very very high. It was pleasure to eat. Nicely presented. Chips were a bit soggy but tasted amazing. I can easily say it’s the beat place to eat in Woking town centre.
