I tried to call the restaurant as we are 9 peoples we tried to inform and aware them earlier but as i called 3 4 times and they pick up once at all and suddenly shouting "why are you calling so many times?, we Don't want to pick up your calls., you didn't understand." As we are tourist and we prefer indian style food anywhere we all communicate going but this was hilarious experience at all. If they Don't want to serve us then they have to say just that we don't serve today sorry. What's is this behavior by a restaurant Firat and last experience very bad. 👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎

My girlfriend and I have visited several times and the food served is the highest quality and never disappoints. I have tried hundreds of Indian restaurants across Scotland and this is the one which I always come back to. Thanks!

Place for authentic Indian food. Must visit.

Dinner is good. Serving is very bad untrained staff . Wet plates , tidy cutlery and surroundings .

Recently I visit here again serving is very bad pathetic , a girl have no sense to serve meal. Cutlery is dirty , very messy surroundings. Last time experience was good I rem a lady with grey berret serve me a food very delightfully. If u need progress change ur staff first .

Ordered via Uber and Vada Pav was made using mould bread. Pics attached . The chicken curry gravy wasn’t smooth textured (had bitey bites) which was expected for a gravy .

You ask, “what could be improved “ basically, everything! It not a place you would go to, to be part of good day out in Glasgow! The service and food were was nice. The girl did the best she could for us! We are the type of people who can forgive and still enjoy our selves. But there was just to much to forgive here!! When you walk around the corner and see people having a great time in restaurants where owners do care.

love the byob. there is a Tesco a couple of minutes away if you don't realise and the server was so lovely and polite. nice relaxed atmosphere. food lovely...tikka very spicy . authentic feel

The worst Indian food I’ve ever tried. I’ve ordered Dahl and chana masala and porota. The porota was doughy, the chana masala tasted very weird in a very bad way. And the simple Dahl was far from simple here. They are way over priced too with a single doughy porota at £3.5 and Dahl at £8.99

Had a good experience of eating chaats here. Ordered a few vegetarian chaats and taste was quite good.

My family and i visited this place hoping to have an amazing experience. Being Indians, I can confidently say that the food served here is below average interms of taste and authenticity. There was clearly no warmth in the service.

It pains me to leave a poor review. I was out with my colleague for lunch and happened upon this place. It was empty, so we weren’t expecting undue delay. We both ordered the £6.95 lunch; one chicken and one vegetarian. I was told after ordering that they “didn’t have any rice” or any chicken curry for that matter, and was invited to order something off the main menu instead. I expected this to be charged at the lunch rate, but it was full whack. My dinner appeared by by colleagues did not. After ten minutes, I enquired as to the whereabouts of my colleagues lunch (we were in a rush to get back to work) and was informed that there was only one chef and he could only cook one meal at a time. We ultimately had to take this late serving as takeaway. God knows what this place would be like with a full service: just two patrons seemed to overload the system So I needed up paying a lot more, and getting far less, than I expected. Next time I’ll play it safe and stick with McDonalds.

Today I took food there has food very cheap no taste nothing very bad service all food burnt. When we said to waitress she said its very nice nobody can’t take. She said just pay we don’t worry about you we paid £43 and return all food they worked like that is home kitchen not restaurant they don’t care about hygiene or customer very bad i would like to give 0 star and highly recommend to go other places don’t go there. Its old rice and burnt cheak peas one hard nan looks like three days old one dal its total £30 and others onion bhaji or oily or burnt papd and two teas £13 it’s expensive doesn’t matter but uf you taking money you have to serve properly or good food thats why come to you thanks

Résultat de la traduction A place a little isolated from everything, it was just us that evening. The food is quite good and tasty even if the atmosphere was a bit dull. Unfortunately the 30% discount didn't work despite our booking (when I told the person who welcomed us that I had booked through the Fork, she didn't seem to understand). As a gesture of goodwill we still got a 20% discount but we were a little disappointed. However, the food was good and very spicy.

As much as it’s not a proper restaurant, it’s more like a cafe setting. Don’t let that put you off. The food was really good, excellent quality and the owners were really nice. Will definitely be back and would recommend x

It's been on my to visit list for ages. Wasn't disappointed. I opted for the masala dosa, which was served with sambar and coconut chutney. It was delicious. Staff were friendly, brief chat with the chief who hails from Mumbai. Given that it was Sunday, it was quiet. Relaxed environment nice music.

Went there on Friday 1/3 with some friends, I was blown away with the food is was simply excellent, the best I have ever tasted, if you have not been there do so quickly, fantastic service and out of the world food, would go back anytime

Been to Bombaywalla restaurant twice, and once for takeaway. Never been disappointed. Delicious food at a reasonable price. I will be back(as arnie famously once said). i would definitely recommend.

Nice place for Indian street starters

I went for the lunch deal and for £7 it was very much a kids portion. The boiled rice was stone cold and the chicken curry had no taste. I asked for a small side dip of raita but a full portion came out which I refused as would be additional £4 for it. Also had masala chips which no one should get due to the over kill of masala on it and then extra thrown over it. So £10.45 later it was a massive regret and most certainly will not return. No music on and having to call and ask for everything rather than being asked if I need anything is a training issue… these are my own thoughts thanks

I'm from Mumbai and was excited to order the pav bhaji. They gave me buns. I understand u may not get the pav there then make it or else don't call it pav bhaji. Call it Sweet Bun Bhaji. The bhaji was below average. Extremely disappointed Ordered the momos as well as the outer layer the dough was raw and rubbery. Disappointed.

I had a fantastic dining experience tonight at the restaurant. The food was delicious.I highly recommend trying their chicken biryani and chicken noodles.The service was impeccable, with attentive staff making the entire evening enjoyable

I have been to many indian street food places and this was the worst of all. Food is overpriced with small portions and most of all the taste was lacking!!! Chicken was hard and undercooked. Chilli chicken was like an actual soup, not fresh at all!!! If you are going to charge ££££ then the food and service should be worth it. This was not the case and I will not be going back!!!

Just love it at Bombaywalla, the food is outstanding, and the family run / low key decor just gives it such a lovely relaxing vibe.

I visited Bombaywala as I was recommended that it provided authentic Indo Chinese cuisine. Prices are a bit bit dearer compared to other restaurants, portions are small as well, taste is reasonable and not what I was expecting. I was really disappointed the way food was packed. For my personal view I wouldn't visit again

Visited here from across the pond on an unscheduled stop. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Food was equally impressive. The whole place was a total vibe!

Very bad experience. Food served to us didn't taste right. Nearly an hour delay since the order was placed yet the order wasn't fully served. We weren't notified of the delay before/after the order was placed. The server/ host was impolite justifying his stance rather than admitting that the things weren't right.

Service was nice but completely unhappy with rate. Example : 14 pound for Paneer Makhani(servings 1 person) is completely not worth. Rates are quiet high and there is not special in taste with respect to price.

The food was excellent, but we waited an hour for the main course. If it had been quicker, it would be worth an extra star. The decor is a bit spartan and service was indifferent. It's a BYOB place, which is fine. I felt it was expensive for the size of portion. It seems to be more of a lunchtime place than for dinner.

I hail from Mumbai and not a single item is according to an Indian taste. We ordered chinese bhel but instead it was full of sev and so salty that I had to let it go. My partner ordered tikka chips and it turned out to be too sweet. And pav bhaji, omg, no salt at all and no lemon was served. I don't think I am gonna visit here again or recommend anyone. Felt like waste of money :( 👎

I tried chicken biryani today, and I must say that in taste was unbeatable and I had never tasted chicken biryani like this before in Glasgow. Staff member are warm and welcoming.

We ordered chicken Malvani , Naan , Samosa Chaat and Mango Lassi. Chicken was tasty but quantity was way less as per the price ( Literally just one small bowl). Mango lassi tasted like Shrikhand shake and Samosa Chaat was also okay. When we were trying to give feedback rather than accepting it , girl at the counter was like it's not India , It's not Punjab .... Since Angrez waste it that's why quantity is less then they should reduce price as well na. All we know be it India or Glasgow , service industry should be open to feedback and how you make customer feel. I would recommend other Indian restaurant over this.

Been in to the restaurant a few times now and always incredible food, butter chicken and lamb dosas were incredible! Bring your own bottle and no charge is superb! A real wee hidden gem in town! And hopefully goes from strength to strength because they definitely deserve it!

Recently I visited this restaurant with my family. Food and service is very nice. I have never tasted this recent days in Glasgow.

Very bad experience. Will not recommend to anyone. And if anyone is watching this review please take my advice don’t order from here. They insult the paying customers and the staff is totally incompetent.

This is the worst place I ever been I would give it minus we ordered chicken Hakka noodles but we got Maggie noodles absolutely disgusting we spent a lot just for three plates of food.

The food this place was very bad. The pav bhaji was without any salt and the nans were burnt. On the top the staff of this restaurant is I efficient and rude.

Booked a table directly on the Bombaywalla restaurant website. Deliberately booked a table at half 6 to take advantage of the 2 course special menu, as advertised on their website. Arrived and asked for this special menu and was told it wasn’t possible as we hadn’t prepaid. We were told that we needed a coupon to get this special menu. This absolutely was not mentioned on the website. Decided just to order off the normal menu. Other diners joined us and they all asked for the set menu option and were refused. One group pursued the matter and were given the printed special menus. Spoke to the waitress at the end and she told me I hadn’t booked through the restaurant website. I had and showed her the email confirmation. A gentleman then joined in and told me it wasn’t the website, despite being the website that they link to on Google. It absolutely was their website. A complete nonsense and a total con. They eventually did honour the set menu price but it really wasn’t worth the hassle. Ruined the meal and I wouldn’t return. Food decent and price ok but don’t advertise special menus on your own website and then tell people they can’t use them.

The most outstanding dosa I have ever. This isn’t hyperbole. Bombaywalla is a new restaurant (barely 2 years old) but that quality and balance of its dishes are sublime. I opted for the chicken tikka dosa. The dosa was both crisp and light. Eminently eatable. Its rare to come across a culinary gem like this. Will always stop by when I’m in Glasgow..

Small, nice place in the heart of Glasgow. Authentic, delicious Indian food and great service. Not a long list of dishes refined to perfection. I highly recommend it. You can bring your own wine 😉

Housed in a small cellar, this restaurant offers some of the street food highlights as known from Mumbai in India. The service is very friendly and the food was beyond expectations. Highly recommended for lovers of Indian cuisine. Highlight= Vada Pav & Masala Cheese Fries

I am vegetarian and I ordered Paneer Makhni which didn't taste good and Chinese bhel was just waste of money. And my friends had some non veg dishes and except biryani they didn't like anything else. I wouldn't recommend this place considering prices are similar to other Indian restaurants nearby that have better food.

It’s a tiny restaurant in the quiet end of road. Food was ok but no much choices for kids. Starters were good.

The place is nicely hidden away on the main road, and it's visible from the crossing. The key factor is the variety of foods and sides and traditional dishes this place offers. It's really a wide range. Taste is very close to authentic and has an option for indo-chinese which was new and not present anywhere else in Glasgow ! The place is new so, decently decorated for a cafe and also offers you to bring your own beer. Had the chance to try their biryani, and really that surprised me how good it was. The chips with masala has a coconut and south Indian spice blend which is amazing ! The Chinese bhel and samosa chat is pretty decent but slightly priced. Overall, Food : 4/5 Variety: 4.5/5 Ambience : 3/5 Presentation:3.5/5 A must try if you want Mumbai -blend of spicy Indian food . Definitely a must try in Glasgow!

The service was horrible and slow, the lady at the counter, who was serving the food needs training. She has zero customer service skills. Please get her trained on how to speak with customers and how she should place food on the table. The Bombaywalla chai was a waste of money.

Chicken Tikka Wrap was delicious and great for a takeaway lunch.

It's a decent place to eat. It's a bit off from the other shops in a location where you would not expect a restaurant. This might result in a lower number of customers. The interior could be more well lit. Service is nice and the food decent.

Chicken dosa was okay but good quantity, momos weren’t cooked but restaurant was nice enough to take it out of the bill, keema pav yum, and the paneer frankie was the best, and samosa chaat as well, again vada pav was okayish and I did not like the pav bhaji!! Overall good food but could have been better!!
