Had an absolutely amazing meal here last night which was made all the better by the lovely service we received. Didn't get her name but the woman who served us had short dark hair and glasses and she was extremely friendly and laid back. When I told my flatmate how friendly the service had been he said he remembered being served by the same woman at the big feed and he had a similar experience, saying she was very friendly! The food was a delight and like nothing I'd ever tried before. Highlights included the beetroot patties and the savoury puffed rice. There was also a fried mortons roll with our curry which was superb. I didn't think the morton roll could get any better but I was wrong. Overall a great meal. It's also BYOB so what more could you want?

This is not a fancy restaurant - it is authentic street food at very reasonable prices, enthusiastic staff - cheerful and happy to chat about the menu - the Tattie Patties are a must for starters - and to try and re-create at home. The mains of curry with peas came on the recommendation of the chef as one of his childhood favourites and did not disappoint. No drinks licence so BYO if that way inclined

This hidden gem serves up genuinely authentic home-cooked food. We know what real 'street' food is, and this ticks all the boxes. Quirky decor - plenty to interest you as you wait for your meal. I had the mutton bhuna with rice and ginger & cucumber raita. It was beautifully tender and rich - clearly marinaded, and cooked to perfection. The wraps are delicious, too, as was the mango lassi (again freshly-prepared rather than out of a carton) with tiny cardamom seeds. The service is very friendly, and no issues with the waiting time. Will definitely be back. Prices are very fair indeed. All round, an excellent place to eat. It's in a basement but easy to find.

Lovely little place with cool art work on the walls. First sign of iffy-ness is the vegetables going bad in the case. The curry was not bad but we had sides of both rice and roti and they were both totally stale so that was why the review was not great. The girl working was lovely and working super hard!

Food here is good and the portions are fine. I've only ever tried the different curries. Mostly sit in the cosy place (there's indoor and outdoor seating) arrive is very fast and the staff are lovely. The only negative that stops me coming here more often is the prices. It's way too expensive for lunch!!!

I visited here for a lunch with a friend. We both had the keema which was tasty and with a roti. I think the size of the lunch portions are quite small and we could have done with another roti to make it more filling, but the curry itself was very tasty.

I ordered a takeaway through Deliveroo. I have tried just about every indian or asian restaurant in Glasgow and this was one of the few I had yet to try (looks to be more of a shop/deli than a restaurant of course). I read previous reviews and thought they sounded very favourable. I ordered the following: 1 chicken curry £8.50 1 basmati rice £2.50 1 butter toasted nan £2.20 1 spicky chicken kebab wrap. First impressions on delivery was that the portion sizes looked decent (2 medium size tubs for the curry and rice) Rice - the rice was a little watery as if it had been drained a bit too much or overcooked i.e. very soft not light and dry as how you normally get it in a good indian restaurant. Chicken curry - portion size good - the sauce itself was very watery and little to no taste. I left my 2nd plate out a bit longer for it to dry up but still lacking any real taste - it did seem fairly fresh though. My main disappointment was the standard of chicken - it was all chicken thigh meat with bits of fat...if I am paying £10.70 for a rice and curry sauce I am expecting the standard of meat to be good i.e. chicken breast. There are loads of good indian restaurants where you get a meal deal which includes 1 poppadum & spice onions, 1 pakora and a curry sauce with rice or naan bread for the same price as this. Very poor ...cheap meat and watery sauce - thats just taking advantage of customers to make a nice profit. The price point is all wrong. £5-£6 for the rice and curry sauce together would have seemed closer to fair. Mini butter naan - basically this seemed the exact same mini naan you buy from supermarkets (small round one) but fried with butter. Probably around 50 pence in the supermarket but charged £2.20...again a con. Spicy chicken kebab - this seemed a decent sized wrap but again the chicken leg meat..fine if you have no preference but £6 for a wrap I expect good quality meat. The taste was pretty decent..it had a spicy kick to it which I liked but it was not something I would go out my way to buy. Overall for me - price point all wrong ...I paid £20 for a wrap, chicken curry and a rice. I could have bought substantially more and a much higher quality from an actual indian restaurant. No repeat business from me. Bit confused by the previous reviews.
