Nice place for a good old cup of tea!! Excellent service and atmosphere

Baboo was open so we decided to buy some ice creams. So many flavours to choose from. The lady was very friendly and helpful.

Delicious gelato with big scoops and good value - similar to other ice cream shops in the area but much better ice cream. Also tried the croffle which was amazing with very generous ice cream and cream. Definitely recommend

Although a little more than we would normally want to pay, the ice creams here were delicious! And a single cone really was quite a large size compared to some places we’ve been. Staff were efficient and friendly, and there’s a loyalty card scheme too. Highly recommended.

Amazing ice cream. Just delicious. Generous portions, £3.50 a scoop so not cheap but it was more than worth it. Do stop if you are passing.

Great spot and good menu. Loved the ice cream flavours and that the iced coffees use the ice cream and expresso mix which is quite unique. Will be back when we fancy sitting on the beack watching the world go by. Much better place than some of the other older places on the Promenade. Oh and they love dogs too. Only criticism is maybe a more regular wipe of tables would go down well.

Made my Birthday special with a free ice cream and such a friendly pleasant young man who was so happy and cheerful.

We started at Weymouth, then Lyme Regis and West Bay.... Glorious flavours, texture and cone, enough flavours for variety, waffle cones and tubs. They even have doggy ice cream!!! Our pup prefers a cone of her own... Staff very friendly and accommodating. Made for proper seaside eating!

As a celiac, was delighted to find gluten free cones available and staff knowledgeable about cross contamination. Friendly team and ice cream is made more the Italian way than British which for our family is excellent. Thoroughly recommended. Quite feasible to have three times in a day.

What can I say other than best gelato and sorbet ever. Can’t go wrong! Even good ice coffee and milkshakes.

We are staying in Bridport on holiday and came down to West Bay for ice cream not long after we arrived on Saturday. Not only is the gelato delicious and smooth but the staff were really lovely and friendly too. We had Madagascan vanilla, Chocolate and salted caramel between us. I’ve never seen our boys eat ice cream so fast. All ice cream will be compared to this!

Our go to place here or in Lyme Regis for ice cream. It doesn’t get much better than this. Good mix of flavours. They don’t skimp on the portions. And friendly staff. Worth the queue.

Thank goodness this little gelato kiosk is not near home. I’m not sure how I’d be able to resist their wonderful product and such friendly servers - it wouldn’t do my diet any good at all! Their vanilla even won over my wife, who always prefers a whippy ice cream.

Lovely ice cream but the area manager James has a stinking attitude and does the brand no good at all. Luckily he isn't in the kiosk very often now on our weekly visits down the bay

Fab gelato, but beware of the swooping seagulls. I was happily enjoying my cone when a seagull swooped down and stole it. We were walking back to get a replacement when seagulls attacked again and stole my husbands cone! The kind lady who served us saw what happened and kindly gave us another serving.

Fab little shack selling the most delicious locally made ice cream made with local ingredients. Brown sugar gelato is a must try!

I'm a confirmed gelato/ice cream hound. Some people going to a new town or city look for a pub or restaurant, me, it's a gelateria or ice cream parlour. So who'd have thought having tried gelato all over the U.K. & Europe, especially in Italy, that I'd find near to my wife's home town of Bridport, the BEST gelato I've ever tasted! Not only that but the friendliest of 'Scoopers' let me and my family, 'try before you buy' and explained that there are only natural ingredients in all their products. Gelato heaven. Absolutely delicious! Incredible gelato and excellent service. The guy serving was lovely and dealt with our group brilliantly.

We ordered lattes and the coffee was really delicious, perfect temperature too, not burnt. (Kids enjoyed their double-chocolate gelato, too!)

Found this ice cream at a small place in Spetisbury in Dorst. I then visited the place a number of times and tried quite a few flavours. Well I have now found 2 other places that serve this wonderful product. Weymouth beach and West Bay....

Found this gem of a cafe whilst searching for dairy free ice cream. Two flavours were in offer: vegan straciacelli and honey berry sorbet - both of which were delicious. Partner had honeycomb ice cream and mint choc chip and also said it was great.

This gelato was probably the best ice cream I’ve ever had! We came back two days in a row as it was so delicious. The two scoop cone was my particular favourite: double chocolate and hazelnut combination was absolutely delightful and highly recommend all the visit. Very complimentary to watching the sunset.

Has to be one of the best ice creams I have ever tasted. Salted Caramel in a tub for me and salted caramel in a cone for hubby. Worth every penny.

If you haven't yet tried Baboo, you're in for a real treat. The quality is amazing and the ingredients so good - look up their website for more details. It's one of the highlights of our visits to West Dorset.

No matter how wet and windy you always need an ice-cream at the seaside, the brown sugar ice-cream felt almost like a dessert - delicious. Plenty of hot options for autumnal days too.

The hazelnut ice cream was simply the best I've tasted. Maple and walnut was also extremely good but a bit sweet. So so much better than Mr Whippy. If you want a great ice cream try Baboo.

Baboo's reputation is quite high, so anticipation matches it (visited a couple years ago, so felt it a safe bet). If anything, even better than I remembered. Highly recommend the Maple & Walnut. And the Damson Ripple. And they make great coffee as well.

This has to be the best place to come for an ice cream in West Bay. The flavours are not your usual run of the mill ones. Peanut and choc was simply divine!!

Delicious range of superb ice cream and a destination for us after we’ve sat on the harbour wall eating fish and chips. We slurped our way through Madagascan Vanilla and Maple Syrup with Walnut. Yummo! Back for more soon.

If you were to buy any ice cream in West Bay or Bridport, stop here. The flavours available are constantly changing and the gelato is delicious, even the cones I find are just the best. Look out for them as you visit West Dorset, they are always a treat.

We stopped for ice cream on an evening walk twice. Fabulous. We recommend hazelnut, salted caramel and banana choc.

Don’t bother with any other ice cream outlets in Weymouth. The range of flavours, quality of ice cream and sheer portion sizes at Baboo are second to none! I adored their mint choc chip, my all time favourite did not disappoint.

I had a scoop of the maple and walnut as we just had to try this ice cream out! Sadly a seagull dive bombed me and stole the ice cream clean out of my cone! What I had of it I thoroughly enjoyed and my family enjoyed their salted caramel and mint choc chip :0) All Covid-19 safety precautions in place and would revisit.

We came to Babboo Gelato for a quick ice cream stop. The ice cream was better than any ice cream I had tasted before. There was no artificial colouring in the ice cream which made it better. Highly recommend for anybody wanting to have a quick ice cream.

Salted Caramel and Walnut and Maple Syrup cones after a fish and chip dinner sat on the benches overlooking the port. This is becoming a naughty habit as we live around the corner. Stunning Ice Cream!

I know things are tough for small businesses at the moment but the chap taking the orders and the money could have tried a bit harder to be pleasant. The ice cream was lovely but I will buy else where another time just because I didn’t feel my custom was important to them. If the present situation continues people who are only a few miles away will become more important than tourists from away.

Fantastic flavours, lots to choose from, reasonably priced, and generous helpings. I had salted caramel and strawberry in a cone. we all had one and were very pleased at the quality.

What more could you want than delicious ice cream beside the sea, and here Baboo is well located for us to wander around the harbour or sit and watch the world go by as we enjoy the ice cream or sorbet, all are really special. I have enjoyed their yummy flavours from various places, not only from this kiosk. You can taste the quality of ingredients. 100% recommend!

And, we receive very good service too! Would buy the ice cream throughout the winter as well if the stall were to open then!

Seriously the best ice cream I've ever tasted. We all had different flavours, and they were all amazing. The scoops are less scoops, and more shovels too, meaning more for your money!

Saw the sign that showed the Walnut and syrup ice cream had won an award. Gave it a go and it was absolutely delicious. Lots of benches across the road to watch the boats and people going by.Will definitely seek this out again next time we are here.
