Baba's Cook & Bakehouse in Lichfield

Love Cinnamon buns so had to try the Babas given the fantastic reviews. Unique to have a bakery in a Garden Centre and the bread looked amazing, unfortunately the Cinnamon Rolls were too sweet for our liked but super soft. Perhaps try some bread next time?

The Sourdough is the best I've ever had and the cinnamon buns and Babka Knots are our go-to Sweet treats (the cream on the cinnamon bun is to die for!) When we visited this week we were able to try a sample of there new Vegan Brownie which my friend will love!

Amazing service but even better baked goods! 100% recommend the babka knot (Nutella knot). Obviously freshly baked.

I discovered Baba’s when I was visiting The Plant Plot with a friend on a recent trip to Lichfield. Immediately the warming smells of baked bread greeted us as we entered the garden centre. Followed by the smiling face of the owner and chef, Bica, who welcomed us and asked if we needed any help with the selection available… I bought a salt and pepper loaf, a sourdough loaf and some ‘twisted Frank’s’ (a delicious frankfurter wrapped in flaky pastry) plus a couple of the refreshing drinks available. I wish I’d stocked up on the bakes there and then, but I’ll be back before Xmas for a top up! Highly recommend! (I’ve added a pic of the delish salt and pepper loaf I enjoyed when I got home)

The bread here is amazing and the service always super too. My favourite is the cinnamon knot never had anything taste so good 😃 well worth a trip if you love proper bread then this is the place!!!!!

The cinnamon buns are the best thing I have ever eaten. Every time I am in Lichfield I make it a priority to grab something from this bakery, either a sourdough loaf or any kind of bun is a go to. Amazing service with a friendly atmosphere.

Wow, we adored this place and what a lovely little gem as you enter the plant pot. I now order all of my bakery from here after tasting their buns. Very professional and polite service. Would highly recommend

Me and my friends were passing through lichfield and noticed babas, we nipped in to grab some snacks as we had been travelling for a while. The service was so good, quick and the food was amazing!! You can really tell the difference from proper “home cooked” authentic food , I picked up some of the new sausage rolls which were incredible and some of their other pastries which were all great in price and in taste. Will 100% come back next time I’m coming through lichfield.

I’ve been wanting to try this place for a while as I’ve heard so many good things so I thought I’d treat everyone and pre-order via the web site and their click and collect system. I chose a couple of sausage rolls, a loaf of sourdough and a few of their sticky cinnamon rolls. One of the sausage rolls didn’t even make it home with me, so meaty and delicious! Me and my husband found it impossible to share the cinnamon rolls the next morning (I wish I’d ordered more) and the kids LOVE the sourdough, it toasts so well, perfect with scrambled eggs, you can tell the baker here really knows what they are doing. Warm and lovely service when I went in too. A great addition to the area, can’t wait to try the rest of it!
